I take Rte 177 headed to my buddies camp on Chaumont Bay. Haven’t made the trip in winter yet, probably will stick to Thruway then Rte 81 if I do go up to ice fish.
@@Darren.R Route 177 can be hazardous in the winter for sure. We took 12 down to Utica/ Rome and skirted all the snow. Thanks for watching!
I know right where your camp is. We got closer to 4’ where I’m at down the road.
@@Eyez85 Thanks, Thats good to know. I’ve been trying to get that information and getting different answers. Hopefully heading up later in the week to try and clear the driveway before it gets frozen down.
I’m not sure I can plow that much snow with my four wheeler but i can give it a shot
I'm here in Wisconsin, I'm guessing you guy's are up near Montague or Barnes corner?
Nice video
Thanks for watching!
You just never know with a snowstorm, glad you packed up and went home. Happy belated Thanksgiving to you & your family.
Thanks for watching, and we hope you had a great Thanksgiving too!
So those hooks are great but they are deceiving ‼️ you can Not use them on an extension ladders. You need to take the extension apart ! And that depends on the type of extension ladder
Looks like a fabulous Thanksgiving. The pies your wife made looked delicious. Stay warm and cozy and safe going home.
It was a great Thanksgiving and I hope you had a good one too!
Happy Thanksgiving to you and your family.
@@brianvernell Happy Thanksgiving to you and yours!
Beautiful cabin in a good place. I love the cabin if I had one like that I would live in it
@@BessieMann That could be in our long range plans. Thanks for watching!
ut a front door on that wood burner
How much did you end up with?
I’m not quite sure yet, but I think around 2 feet. Definitely not close to what was forecast . Better safe than sorry! Thanks for watching
What a great family day. Good choice going home early that’s some wet heavy snow!! Happy Thanksgiving!🦃
I think there ended up being around two feet with more coming this week. Snow depths varied widely with this storm. Thanks for watching!!
This is idea for homeless community
Good video, and nice suttons shirt, that's my home town!
Mine too!
I think the Sutton Spoons shirt has been photographed all over the world. Thanks for watching!
Do you use the same peroxide solution to whiten the starling skull? I've heard delicate skulls get damaged easily so when curious how the solution affects them.
@@binturongjax70 I’ve never had any problems but I don’t leave the smaller skulls in the peroxide very long. Maybe a half hour at the most. Thanks for watching!
So sweet to take out time for your dad. It’s those small things that can mean the most to our parents !! So glad that you found your gas leak and that you can do it yourself 😊 The out house really is nice I personally have never used one . Thanks for sharing your videos are always interesting and love the food that you and your wife cook. Have a great weekend.🇺🇸
It’s always good to spend time with family. Thanks for watching!
your Dad looked like he was happy to be there. nice work on the cabin. stay safe and warm.
He sure was happy to be there. Thanks for watching!
I couldn't tell, but do you have a vent?
I did not put a vent in. I decided to wait for a while to see if I actually need one. After four years it seems to be fine without it. Thanks for watching!
Damn good weekend for sure
It certainly was. Thanks for watching!
That's what I call a near perfect weekend!
It was a good weekend for sure. Thanks for watching!
Short and to the point.

You and your wife have such a beautiful cabin and the property looks amazing. That breakfast looked delicious 😊. Anyways I was just going to mention that mice and mouse’s don’t like fabric sheets. When my husband and I stored our traveling trailer I would put those softener sheets every where and it Kept them out. I was totally surprised but it worked. Thanks for sharing and hope to see you next time Cindy 🇺🇸
Thanks, Cindy! I’ll have to try those fabric softener sheets. The breakfast was definitely delicious. Thanks for watching!
Just found your channel and subscribed. I know the are you’re in very well. I have a camp near Croghan and explore Five Ponds and Watson’s East Triangle often.
@@GregTischler-w4i Thanks for subscribing! We are probably not far from each other then. Our family had a camp back in there starting with my grandfather in the 30’s. Love that area!
Man I could watch this guy all day long. Takes me right back to my cabin. Love it.
Thanks @@markhenderson6198 !!!
Just caught your channel and video. Your place looks awesome, you two are living. Love it.

@My Twelve Acres, have you tried using grass cuttings or ash, instead of saw dust?
We have never tried that. Years ago we used lime. I never did like that. It didn’t reduce the smell much. The cedar does a great job of reducing the smells, so we have stuck to that. Thanks for watching!
@@mytwelveacres3071 Yes, I guess it is the cleanest way, as ash and lime would make a mess : )
Very nice!
Thanks for watching!
Nice! Good luck on opening day of duck up north!
Thanks, you should be there !
Thanks for the update! Our tent has been up for 2 years now and no issues. I do make sure to keep it maintained. Our biggest issue is keeping wasps out, but so far so good!
Thanks for watching. Mice are our enemy.
Congratulations on the new addition. Also thank you for sharing the update on your tent.
Thanks for watching. We are really looking forward to using the camper!
What state are you in?
The camp is in the Adirondacks, Thanks for watching!
You could also just buy a chimney flu liner and pour concrete around it to make it strong and seal it up right
Thanks, there are a few things I can do to fix the chimney. The flu is actually in great shape. The blocks are not. For right now, repointing is the remedy. We will see how it holds up. Thanks for watching!
For that chimney they have a sleeve like a balloon that you put down your chimney and you put air in it like a tire, its rubber and you pour cement around the rubber tube and when the concrete cures enough you let the air out of the sleeve balloon and pull it out and there you have it your flu is lined with concrete and strong, then just fix you chimney crown, you can actually get a steel sleeve ( chimney liner) to slip to down the chimney where the rubber sleeve was and you have a permanent fix for much much less than tearing it down and replacing it
Very nice bro!
For guests maybe have a few non-canvas tents on hand and some air mattresses. With the larger ones, you could throw a little Ikea bed in there and a rug and suddenly its a cozy space. Cold in winter, but just have some thick comforters on hand and everyone's happy. So long as you're out of the rain and off the ground, it's easy to keep warm with good blankets.
it IS purdy! Good job, Sir!
Thank you kindly! And thanks for watching!
I just subscribed as this is the first time I have seen your channel and if I can ask which state are you located
Northwoods would suggest Maine? Then again, it might be somewhere completely different... : ) Canada? UP? Endless possibilities. :)
ACK, just subscribed, did not see the Adirondack reference, my bad... :|
Thanks for subscribing. Because we are not within the “Adirondack Proper” ie: The Blue Line. I call it the “North Woods”
Because we are not within the Adirondack Proper ie; The Blue Line, I call it the “North Woods”. Anything within the Blue Line which is a combination of private and state land is considered “The Adirondacks”. We are not to far from the Blue Line.

I've composted my poo for many years and used it to grow vegetables for vegans . I've got it down on how to do it. I use black soldier Fly maggots also to create excellent soil compost.
that house chore must be hella inconvenient and crazy when it is snowing in the winter....lol
Oh I'm so glad no snow here, just rainforest. Ive had roofs collapse on my face in the middle of the night in Washington so Yes TONS of rafters help.
Might I suggest cut the one plug close to body pf tent FLUSH to prevent rubbing against fabric and causing more problems with respect thank you
All suggestions are welcome. Thanks for watching!
Nice cabin ,i was surprised that you didn't stain the stairs?
We plan to, but I needed to pressure wash them again. I’ll have to wait for them to dry out now before staining. Thanks for watching!
i was in until came out no shoes on an bottoms of feet was just nasty !
@@davevanatta1965 that’s funny. This soil is so dark and rich in this area One step outside in bare feet and that’s what you get. I’m sorry you were so easily offended …thanks for watching!
