I came across this recently and I found it to be so true, what a eye opener Jon calls himself uneducated but gives such great answers that most educated people would not be able to answer. Being educated does not define wisdom and intelligence. Jon is very intelligent and I‘m happy that he has found his way in life! and more importantly, he was able to share with us his wisdom and knowledge Enjoy

Love your videos dean. Hope you enjoyed your holiday. What soi your cafe on dean. Looking forward to eric and dean videos
Hi Lillian, Rose Garden Guesthouse and Restaurant Soi 88 Hua Hin, near soi Khao Phitak 11. Loved Vietnam and will go back again. Thanks for your comment 😀🙏
Great Morning Video ! I woke up and watched this first thing, What a great looking day !! :)
Really wow, thanks so much 😀🙏
Thanks for sharing your walk around town. The video is actually quite clear without a gimbal. 👍
Many thanks for your comment 😀🙏
Hy Dean, wish you all the Best. Amazing Thailand Greetings Markus
Thanks again Markus, I will meet up with Eric when I get back from Vietnam soon 😀🙏
Does Hua Hin have a local Immigration Office or Must you still have travel to Bangkok or fly to Penang Malaysia
Yes it has two.
Yes it has a popular immigration service in Blúport shopping centre and the it has the other a bit further out maybe 15-20 minutes drive. If you just have to do your 90 days then you can do this online once. So easy, thanks for your comment 😀🙏
@@MLVL312 Thank you
Its obvious you do not live here, unlike myself. You are quoting low season prices , which will go up by about 25% when tourist season kicks in. Also a lot of people stay in thise hotels all year round and a much better rate is available for long term
12000 bath/month for long term stay, the front desk lady told me.
Yes I do live here and yes the video is during low season so these are low season prices, although one of the accommodations does have a fixed price. I think we all realize that some of these are low season prices and when the hotel tells me that it is only for these months then I pass that information on. And you are correct about the yearly rate is much cheaper but again this can depend on when you are fixing your yearly rate during low season or high season. This is to give people an idea of what is available and the prices at that time or within a few months. As soon as we hit November the prices on some of these properties will go up, I think some of the properties that I have covered are already expensive and unlikely to go up until next year. We have a restaurant and Guesthouse so we do live in Hua Hin. Thanks for your comment
Great video. Thank you.
Glad you liked it!, thanks for your comment 😀🙏
Hello Dean, can you also enjoy the monthly rental price if you only stay for 26 days or do you really have to pay per night for a stay of less than a month ?
I stayed there 1 night for 700 baht last week, no breakfast. @5:50 is the Aeknarin Hua Hin car rental & taxis services.Good services and highly recommended.
@@sengtagoreseng4714 Yes that's true, but if you want to stay for 26 nights is that around 18200 bath and when monthly rental price is possible is it around 14000 bath. If i'm correct at least. Thanks in advance !
Interesting, not an easy answer when we set the monthly rate for online bookings we set it for 28 days. However each property owner is different, as this is so close to the 28 days we would probably allow you the monthly rate and give you some days back. Hope that makes sense, if it is a online booking then we have no control and it won’t even come up with the monthly rate, but booking directly we can do what we want as long as it is not too busy. Paying the daily rate is a killer. I like the option of daily, weekly and monthly rate much better. But not everyone does it as the more popular places always are very busy at the weekend due to Bangkok people wanting to stay at the weekend and they pay a premium for this. Thanks for your comment 😀🙏
Great video. Keep em coming!
Many thanks 😀🙏
Is it NICE by any chance!
It was not just nice but cool 😎 and Nice, nice comment 🫣😀🙏
Nice and interesting video. No offence but visa agents are much cheaper in Pattaya for the same work. There is hardly competition in Hua Hin.
You could be correct as there may be a lot of competition in Pattaya in comparison to Hua Hin. However sometimes the price they give are inclusive of many things such as reentry and immigration fees which are part of the price. Please give an example so I can compare. Many thanks for your comment 😀🙏
Not a drinker, but I hope to move there when my lease in Jomtien expires. Looking for 1 BR's near the night market and beach
Interesting choice, why the night market 😀🙏
@@HuaHinwalkaboutwithDean Convenient area, quiet section of beach, very little traffic. My experience w/ Thailand isn't night life centric. I'm messaging you from Siem Reap, Cambodia
Hi Dean. You didn’t show anyone Storms bar in the G complex. Also if you give people some menu prices for the cafe and restaurants that would be great cheers. Thanks for the video 🙏
Thanks, please check my other channel I did a full review of the G Hotel with some prices in 2 coffee shops. Many thanks “What’s Dean Doing in Thailand” ua-cam.com/video/nES0H6_MDgs/v-deo.htmlsi=zOJ7ySH1Q7CCxRoQ
Where is the Storms bar, I think one of the bars on the top floor is closed down if that is the one you are talking about. 😀🙏
Hello neighbour. I’ve been waiting for this one to air. I didn’t realise G was so large and swanky. Very nice. I’ll have to tell my Aussie mates to watch this series as they’re my latest stomping grounds.

Nice video
Many thanks Michael 😀🙏
I live quite far up 102 and I have found it to be one of the dirtiest places I have ever lived. I have lived in Thailand for over 15 years and although the country is becoming overrun with plastic, once you get off the main road, Hua Hin is not paradise. The city provides very few trash cans for all those shops you have shown. There is always(every day) many garbage bags piled around the bins and the dogs ripping through the garbage each night. It's not pretty. Move farther up the soi and the are several very large (10 meters long by 2 meters high) open dumping sites on the side on the road for anything from construction material to raw garbage. I live a the top of 102 and do a detour around that area 4 times a day because we are disgusted with the squalor. I live in a great quiet Moo Baan but from the minute I venture outside it a constant borage of plastic every where even up here in the farmland. If you don't like garbage stay near the main road in town.
Hi David, I am very confused by your comment. Plastic does not stay around for long especially in garbage areas and many people come looking for plastic every few minutes. The shops have a pickup service for plastic, glass and cardboard, I know because we have a restaurant. The garbage gets picked up every day, in the UK that’s every 2 weeks so much better here. Landfills some land owners near 102 have encouraged hardcore, top soil and wooded items. The land is mostly full now and has been spread and looks good for selling the land now. Nowhere is perfect but I except this. Why do you still live in Thailand if you hate it so much I don’t understand.
Would be good if you made a few viewing appointments so we can see property and prices rather than just walking around 😉 just a thought 😊
Hi, Yes I have been working on that as I am going around I am trying to make some arrangements but want to focus on the areas first and then go back to the properties. There is logic to my madness, if a small place then I might show that but bigger complexes warrant their own video. thanks for your comment
If I see a place for rent and call the number, what are the chances whoever answers will speak English? It will take me years to learn Thai.
Very good question, I would normally get a Thai friend of mine to ring them to get the information first and arrange a viewing if suitable, I have met quite a few that do speak good English so you might be in Luck. Thanks for your comment
I prefer Hua Hin to Jomtien, due to the quieter beach, less traffic, not bar centric. I'll probably move there once my lease expires
Normally I would say that sometimes the trafic is quite bad in Hua Hin especially when the children are let out of the schools and at the weekend. However I have been stuck in traffic on the way to Pattaya for almost the hour with the one way trafic so I understand. Hua Hin also has some Bar areas but not so big I suppose. But Hua Hin is Great and only spent a few hours in Pattaya and that was enough for me I wanted to come back home to Hua Hin.
Excellent video, Dean, Thank you so much. These videos are very useful for people who desire to relocate to Hua Hin.
Many Thanks, I will try and do more but also have to focus on other things, This channel is growing so I will have to focus more on it now. also many comments, Many thanks
Thank you very much , for this informative and enlighting video , I can comfortably scratch Hua Hin off my retirement and Visitation Option list , Your Video is the 6th Video on Hua Hin , I've watched , And All of them demonstrate Hua Hin in not a walkable City or Village all the Videos Suggests that i must Add the Cost of Vehicle Transportation & Maintenance and Vehicle Insurance Cost and Not only this Major Safety Concerns with driving in Thailand, add these cost factors to My Personal Expat Health Insurance , Rent , and daily living All Equals Hua Hin is not a better Option Than Kruntep & " Jomtien in Chonburi that i have so much experience with " Hua Hin is mainly infrastructually and public transportation option wise "Under-developed "
I am not really sure what you mean, is it difficult to walk around? yes as is alot of places like Phuket for example has the same problem as is many other places in Thailand. Is it safe to ride a Bike? probably not as is most plases in Thailand apart from the outer areas. Is the Transport good? yes very good, Hua Hin has Grab, Bolt and many other transport apps and the price is very cheap, we also have Baht Buses that are extremely cheap jsu 15 Baht. Is it safe to Drive a car in Hu Hin? yes I think very safe and I do most of the time and only go out on my moped once a week. Is it a great place to live? Yes fanstatic, two major shopping centres and the beaches go on for ever. Is it cheap to live in Hua Hin? yes the property can cost 8k per month for a House or Town House. Is the food good? Yes, the food is fantastic with so many western. Thai and many other options. My Honest answer is that Hua in is a great place to retire and I would not want to leave, Hua Hin does not have issues that other places have where it could cost you alot of money for fines, housing and transport. Sorry I do not agree with some of your comments and this is Thailand, why would you want to westernise Thailand because then it wont be Thailand it would be like back home. I agree I dont like it when I am forced into the road because of people setting up businesses on the pavement or have packed their bike in the way, but that I have experienced all over Thailand. Thanks for your comment
Nice video and walk! Me personally love the area just south from the road down to that pier, no monkey problems , a lot of accommodations at reasonable prices, many small restaurants. Been to Hua Hin several times and we loved it every single time, our plan is to settle down there maybe already during next year. We will most likely try to find a small house or apartment in that particular area if prices are reasonable for long term rent. Been walking around a lot up from the beach and many signs "for rent" in front of small houses, we look for simple but functional Thai style homes. My girlfriend is Thai so everything will be much more easier.
Great, hope you find a great place at a good price with your girlfriend. All the best and good luck 😀🙏
What are the names of the places? I missed it
@@anfrae25 the the great thing about UA-cam, you can watch it again or rewind or pause if you wish. Sorry I am a little far ahead so would have to rewatch it again to answer your question. Thanks for your comment
Some great info/content - thanks. Are you planning to do any more ie 94 & 88 etc ?
Yes next stop is 94 and then 88 How did you know ? well done you must know the area. Thanks for your comment
@@HuaHinwalkaboutwithDean Visit Hua Hin regularly. Always good to see different areas for accommodation etc.
How can a foreigner buy a house there???
You can Buy a House, but the real question should you buy a House? It depends on how old are you and will you get the price that you paid in comparison to Renting. With renting you can move around and try out different places, if you buy then you cannot do this. To answer your question, yes you can buy a House but you cannot own the land, so if you have a Thai wife like me I own the house but she owns the land, I can knock down the house if I wish as I am the owner. You can own a company and have the land and house in the company name (not recommended). You can Own a condo if you wish and that is a option. If you have a Thai Partner then you can own the house together but if you split up then there is the problem and was the house ever in your name? that is the question. I had a estate agent arrange things on my behalf whilst we were at the land office to make sure that the house was in my name. Hope that helps. Thanks for the comment

Yes they will be coming a bit later, hope you can wait or send another message if you need advice. thanks for your comment
voice sound only one side sad
Yes sorry about that, some technical issues especially when I went in fpr a coffee and the microphone was not working properly. Also my phone overheated 3 times because of the time I chose to do my walks at peak hot sun time, I will try and do better
I love your videos the sound is a bit weak
Sorry about that I will try and boost the sound in future, thanks
Very good job. This is extremely useful content wort watching. Thanks a lot!
Many thanks so glad you found the video useful, more to come, thanks again
Very useful, thank you 🙏
Many thanks for your comment, your very welcome
I like Hua Hin because it says "Heaven you a.." Heaven In.. because Church says... See Heaven you are See heaven and RICH says.. Are Eye See Heaven and H is Heaven because..The wholly bible is verse 1 to verse 21 as three times of s-even and when 1 to 21 is in a wheel it looks like this H with Heaven between the two ends of time.
Very good video Dean with good advice, thanks.
Many thanks Keith, I am glad you enjoyed it 😀🙏
There is no Public tranportation there like a 10 Baht bus. or readily available motorbike taxi or Grab or Bolt Taxi Thats not a good Retirement location and it does not have an immigration office from what i hear. I'll Stay in Chonburi.
Where are you getting your terrible information from? You’re wrong on all counts. There are four baht bus routes in Hua Hin (green, red, orange, blue) and there is an immigration office in the Bluport mall. Yes, stay in Pattaya 😂
@@Wizerud How are you Sir I mentioned Only that because, out of 30 videos ive seen of Hua Hin, from Johnny theres Something happening , Ed Sweeney videoing his visits , and many others since 2011 , NOT 1 Mentions Baht bus routes or shows them They all focus on Soi bintabot or Condos beach , restaruants , cost living , shopping Malls or other Night life venues, and ALL RIDE AROUND ON MOTORBIKES OR CAR NONE HIGHLIGHT Baht bus routes I'm a retiree s in Thailand s ince 2011 I speak Thai I first became a a tourist here over 25 yrs ago but ive only lived in a village outside Korat , Bangkok and in Chonburi state in Jomtien, Naklua of course also in Pattaya Klang banglamung , been to many others Cities in Thailand accept Hua Hin but ive was always curious
As discussed many transport options, the taxi apps are great and very very cheap compared to other places in Thailand. The Baht bus appears to only follow the main road, this is extremely cheap. Getting around town is not a issue in my experience
hi , price long term for this villa ?
I believe I mentioned the prices in the video but in case I missed one then they are normally around 25k for 1 year contract from memory
Thanks Dean, I do like this series of videos you are making. Part 1 of Khao Takiab was excellent and I'm looking forward to watching Part 3 of Soi 102. We are very happy in the house we are currently renting in Hua Hin but am always thinking about future accommodation. I have changed my mind about what house to rent or buy since I started analysing the pro's and con's of different types and different areas. See you Wednesday morning. Keith
