Atlantis: The Lost Empire - Disney's Underrated Masterpiece
Переглядів 18 тис.7 місяців тому
The early 2000s was a rough period for Disney, which saw them release a string of critically and commercially unsuccessful films during their Post-Renaissance era. Leading this group was none other than their sci-fi adventure masterpiece, Atlantis: The Lost Empire. In my eyes, Atlantis is Disney's most criminally underrated animated feature, and this video essay explains why... If you enjoyed t...

One Piece is one of the greatest stories I've had the privilege of experiencing. It's one of the most successful pieces of fiction with a fanbase of millions spread all over the over the world who tune in every week to keep up with The Straw Hats' adventures. But it's also very, very, very long, which turns many people away, for good reason. This video explains why One Piece's extreme length sh...
My Interpretation of 500 Days of Summer

500 Days of Summer is one of the most discussed rom coms of all time, but a large majority of that discussion centers around who was wrong in Tom and Summer's relationship. But in my opinion, there is no hero or villain in this movie, because they both were in the wrong. Here's why... 0:00 - Intro 1:38 - Tom 7:44 - Summer 12:22 - Outro If you enjoyed this video essay, please like, comment, subs...

Hunting For Solace: God of War Ragnarok's Perfect Moment

God of War Ragnarok is one of the biggest blockbuster video games ever made. But the moment that stuck with me the most wasn't from a boss fight or combat encounter, but a short hunt and a conversation between father and son. Here's why... Flash Games Were Beautiful

On December 31, 2020, Adobe officially shut down their Flash program, meaning that Flash Games were no longer able to run. This video is a little tribute to those games and my personal experiences with them. (Also sorry if the audio is a little glitchy in this one. I tried rendering it like 5 different times and this was the best I could get.) If you enjoyed this video, like, comment, subscribe...

Why I Love Sokka (Avatar: The Last Airbender)
him:when the credits roll down *ODA:ONE PIECE WILL END IN 203-*
Underrated Ah Video
Also, I wanted to say, even if you exclude the great comedy, character moments, aesthetic, and theming, there are still so many things introduced in thriller bark. Kuma, Ryuma, the invisibility fruit (important for many reasons), ancient giants, Moria himself (who will most likely become relevant again), perona, Lola, vivre cards explanation, BROOK (and his connection to laboon), etc.
For me one piece is like you said great but the moment it became better than you could ever imagine, the moment you just could not stop watching anymore was enis lobby, this because you saw glimpses of the powers they will use later on, and the firs real fight and tread forming action agianst the government, we get reminded of evryone’s backstory and we get robin’s backstory, this is also very close to marine fort and basically this was the moment for me I could not stop and the real story started cause it this was the turning moment what was responsible for evry other thing in the story if you understand me, although from a certain point and you may not forget in the fights we see that the new ones are animated better, more impact frames than the most other anime
I would watch it if I could watch it
“doesn’t really focus on the fights themselves but the reason why” makes sense but no the fights are good
8:40 that one still hurts after multiple rewatches
the soundtrack you pulled up in the outro just gets me everytime, goosebumps down to the last hair follicle. i love one piece so much and thankyou for making a vid to recommend the show to the ignorant ones
Very cool congratulations for your work....I also rewatched Atlantis the lost empire this evening, great movie
one piece gets good when the start of the intro of episode 1.
One piece is PEAK
Spoiler warning for the whole first segment of this video damn 😭😭
"grows in size and notoriety" then a smooth transition to Nami 🤣
Wait for one piece remake
I am in
I started watching between Wano ending and Egghead starting, caught up, read Egghead and omfg yeah it's the best story I've seen and it's still going strong.
I see white beard as a suicidal moron who let thousands of lives be lost in a meaningless war he knew would change nothing. Regardless of how the narrative frames the event, that is what happened.
I am one piece fan I never skip a single episode even i watch filler episodes.
Its been 85 days since I started watching onepiece due to this video and I am currently on episode 345 (Thriller Bark). I haven't watched the full anime but from what i have watched I will share my experience. New shonen anime are about raw story(in the sense we can predict what will happen next and how will they reach their final goal) and fight scenes which are more focused on teen age category while this anime is not only for teen age but for everyone(I am 16yrs old).My friends who have not watched onepiece just say that its boring, old story , naruto is better blah blah.. while others who have watched this anime say that its undeniably the best anime we have ever witnessed which I realised while watching it and its True!!. You may feel the start of the show to be slow (for like 20-30 episode) but once you reach to arlong arc, it will take off like a rocket and you will fall in love with this anime in no time. This anime genre is mostly on adventure and world building which takes so much time but its worth watching it. This anime is not known for frequent fight but its known for having best fight scenes. This is not a perfect anime but its still better than every anime that has released. I was a naruto fan and when somebody praises about onepiece i just think that they are bluffing but when i actually started watching it, I can say that its the greatest ever story told and you should give it a try. Dont look the numbers, just enjoy the show and it will take you smooth like butter(there are thousands of reason i appreciate it but if i write it then it will take days to write)❤😎
Here I stand caught up with both manga and anime, all I want to do is go back to where our favorite rubber boy began once again
bro the first yapper that aint annoying
i used to be a one piece hater and complained about the length but i have been converted i love one piece now
I've been Tom. I think they were both ett emotionally/romantically selfish in terms of seeking validation I think you're commentary is excellent The only thing I would add is Tom's overwhelming NEED- which he was harbouring BEFORE this He wasn't complete. Something made him yearn for a completion in an romantic ideal Which is hopelessly adolescent They're both fantasists. He blew this up into his own personal opera She funnelled this into "I can be a version if myself I like"
Peak
I highly recommend watching the big 3. I personally saw naruto first one piece second and bleach last but If i could advise, id say do naruto or bleach and save one piece for last since it is the longest. I liked one piece and i always keep my heart open while watching but when i got to wano I started realizing why i had such a hard time watching it or why i kept getting so bored... I think for me its that it felt really stale and repetitive, i just couldn't put my finger on why. i kept watching and pushed through wano and somewhere in there i realized I wasn't enjoying it as much because there were no stakes. ITs fight after fight nobody dies to build that seriousness or that feeling of tension to better tell stories or to create depth in emotion. And somethi8ng that itched at me was every time a new strong character is introduced with some crazy ability or strength and they use it on someone and they just live... It just wasn't there, that feeling of excitement like watching bleach or naruto. I know its supposed to be more of a kids show since its silly and all but to me it will always be such a sad loss of potential with the dark themes of corrupt governments, slavery, dictatorship, human trafficking and human testing and so on. That with a more serious tone could have wiped and i kept watching for any shred of serious moments those are the only times i could enjoy the show to the fullest. If you want something more serious id recommend bleach or naruto however, if you like something long and funny go ahead and watch one piece. Enjoy your stay and enjoy your ride.
I was afraid to get into it cuz of the length. But then, I discovered One Pace today...😊😊
Her daddy didn't force her to $3×u@LLy @$$@ulT a mentally deficient man(if the genders were switched, do *_NOT_* even try to tell me that her family, law enforcement, the courts, and society wouldn't have branded him as a predator and a r@p¡$T), then ghost him for over 4 years, while deliberately withholding the knowledge of the existence of his son from him, until such time as she had *_NO_* other _better_ options left(as a single Mom with AIDS), and Forrest himself now has wealth & notoriety. Jenny is a monster! *_STOP_* trying to defend her disgusting *_CHOSEN_* behavior.😠
One piece is cool man but the success of quality of live actions is not proof of the quality of the animated series, that’s a silly point to make . For example cowboy bebop could 100% have an amazing live action adaption , it just requires a team of people that understand the source material and don’t change shit. The live action bebop has literally nothing in common with the original show outside of character names.(the guy who played jet was really good though)
I think One Piece gets really good at Baratie but doesn’t hit peak until Jaya, and cements itself as the best series ever at Enies Lobby
ayy no thanks lol not watching op when it need 500+ episodes to be good 😂
Damm, I felt it when I watched sinor pink back story😭 "only a manly man can be a real man"
Its so shocking that the people who hate Jenny don’t take this into account. It’s one of the reasons there’s a minority of healthy relationships in this world Awesome take on the film, completely agree
Couldnt agree more. I got into the series in 2020 (I think) I was revisiting Naruto and Bleach, and remembered one piece never clicking with me. Except I remembered after that i read impel down and marineford cuz it was in shonen jump magazine back in 2010 and found some of it interesting. Always wrote it off for its length. I started it that summer and I've watched the whole anime and read the whole manga multiple times. Saw Film Red in theatres when that came out and I've seen that many multitudes of time as well, now. Have it on Blu-ray. Love Uta. I love this series so much. It's so damn good.
I just started watching it
It will literally change you life. This video has said it perfectly. It’s not perfect and the pacing isn’t great but you don’t mind one the series hit you. Welcome to the world of One Piece
Man. this video made me happy, excited, sad, cry, and pumped up all within a few minutes. So many memories.
I am still scared of watching One Piece, so i have read One Piece
Possibly the best Manga/Anime ever and if you are intimidated by the length of it? Watch the Live action or the upcoming Anime remake.
Im almost at episode 500, after I catch up I'll watch the movies
I just started recently. I always maintained though despite its length, at least it actually goes places unlike Detective Conan.
Literally just finished aot, bawling my eyes out
Great video
Your videos are criminally underrated. Thank you for the time and effort you put into them ❤
wow.. talk about meat riding. i watched over 500 episodes. it's garbage.
What is garbage is your contents.
Your content is garbage, nuff said.
Meat riding. You watched 500 episodes of a series you call "garbage".
@redhat4363 your telling me you invested 500+ episodes into a series you never found enjoyable at all ? Im assuming you either A. Skipped a butt tonne of episodes throughout or B. Your straight lying about watching one piece at all. But aint no way anyone being of sound, mind or body invests 500+ episodes into a series they call "garbage." Your comment doesn't add up at all.
Honestly idk about one piece I seen over ten episodes and just the lack of action really hurts and bored me demon slayer there’s action the first episode and that has kept me in finishing it and making it my number one
Such a good analysis-this is the compassion her character, and people like her need!
"Nothing more than a one-note selfish lover, who plays with Forrest as she sees fit, only to leave when opportunity arrives." My take exactly. No self-respecting man in his right mind would ever enter into a relationship with a tramp like Jenny. Sure, you can feel sorry for her, but this movie is titled "Forrest Gump" and not "Jenny Curran".
It's scary tho! 😨
Jenny is still a horrible person.
I would paid to see a history where he is the MC and shows all what he can do
Remember, Oda didn't sell the rights to his show just like that. He wanted to be a part of it. And the day he gives up doing that, it'll be Season 8 Game of Thrones all over again.
Better yet read it. This is one of the only cases where I think the manga is objectively superior in how to consume the story. Faster to go through and does not have the awful pacing and made up scenes the anime has.
Not to mention, to keep ahead. It's excrutiating when your show has caught up too close and you just have to be on top of the latest events.
