Was sentenced to 36 months, as a y.o back in 2009. The catchment jail for me then was allocated styal as foston didnt take sentenced y.os only them on remand. I was shitting it, knowing that was my destination. I had already done custody so kinda knew what to expect, however with what i had heard about styal that bought the fear in me. However it isnt like how you hear, the jail is actually ok, and staff go above and beyond to do what they can. From the wing, to the houses , and the y.o house. They even have a calm centre, and good payed wages for working.

All the council has done for women is get pregnant and get a flat on your own while the man has nothing to do or care 😮

Give job to adults to make something enjoyable for young teenagers

I was mainly a residential pupil at a school called Style, Manchester residential school from 1977 till 1983. It was originally known as Style Resedential School, then later became Bollin Cross. It was virtually next door to the women's prison and I remember one year the women there gave our school fireworks 🎆 for bonfire night and I think they paid for them out of their " canteen " money, so they are not all bad. So if you were any of the ladies who gave the kids of Style/ Bollin Cross school 🎆 thanks so much from all the ex-pupils & Teachers/House-staff. 😊

This is not a programme about punishment , it's a programme about drug abuse & mental health . Some people have got lifelong issues , some have mental health issues due to abuse ,& some take drugs , simply to allow them to disappear from the world they are unable to function in . And the prisons cannot cope . Prisons are designed primarily for incarceration. Dealing with a bad, violent prisoner is easier . It's the same in society outside prison .My mum's dementia is untreatable , but she needed an operation . The hospital were struggling to find a way too operate on her ,and deal with the process of recovery , because the recovery time would need 2-3 people involved , to stop my mum pulling out stitches , refusing medication etc . Prisons need reforming massively , in order to cope with the fall out of mental health issues in patients . And have funding available to separate cases they cannot handle alone . A separate hospital wing on every prison built , to focus on the support on prisoners who require help away from the confines of a cell . That way the re offending rate might be reduced , the suicide rate could also be reduced . The initial investment in such schemes might seem high , but it could reduce the overall cost of caring for prisoners , who simply need some specialized help to allow them to find peace . If we went back to having more mental health centers in the UK , before the funding was almost completely removed , the picture here , the bleak picture painted here , could be so different. It's always the same .Funding cut to services , needed by the public at charge, which are decided by the people in charge , who know nothing of the situation , yet are screwing the system for huge wage increases every single commons meeting.

I actually had no idea you couldn't join the army with psoriasis. I looked it up, seems quite harsh but logical in a way. You can't be doing night exercises scratching your head all night. I have it on my scalp and it is pretty frustrating.
