Wiring a 12volt plug!
In this video I show how to wire a 12 volt accessory plug the proper way! Figured after the fiasco I had with the other big box store auto parts, BS plug that I would just wire it myself to ensure it was correct!

Rule rubber one always protect your shaft with rubber
almost an hour video to replace a battery! Whaaaat!!!
thanks for the video i had the same problem as you did the plugs were not pushed all the way down if you have a minute can you briefly explain what the other hole is for on the left of the 2 terminals thanks
Just received mine in the mail. Thanks for the video to help me get started.
Thanks for that video!!!
Thanks! I just came into possession of one of these tiny meters. Guess what? Mine has a date code of Dec 2014, so they made them for quite a while. The one I was given didn't have a battery in it at all. And they were nice enough to tell me I needed a (1 TYPE "12v" Battery), very informative.😅 I found your video and you were kind enough to do all the heavy lifting of finding a replacement battery type. Again, thanks!
Why do the numbers jump all around on it though? I don't think that is right
I used to have a Radio Shack pocket multimeter 22-809 (auto ranging version) when I worked as a service technician for Diebold. It was really handy at the time. Unfortunately I lost it during a move.
Hi, can i use this multimeter to check poles of an 250V outlet?
While I found some useful information from your video, I have a couple of questions. What about the spring on the backside of the throttle plate to allow the choke to return to the open position after starting? And I see that you deleted your fuel pump, Why did you leave it open? I would think that you would lose oil like on a car engine with a mechanical fuel pump.
What's a four way screwdriver?
Sometimes called a Phillips!
God send to teach the people,s the right way to learn this information. This is really good instrustions for anyone who want to learn the right way, thank again my friend.
would have been so much better to show what you were doing instead of talking and pointing your finger all around. Show what to do while your explaining.
Ill keep that in mind, Thanks for watching
Dude.... Not all heroes wear capes!! I mean, well, you might wear a cape... I don't judge 😅 Thank you for this video... I have the Kohler Pro CV16S which is basically the same engine setup you show and replaced the carb and it low idles great but high idle it has a very small surge. Will be checking the plate today. Thanks again 😊
I think your video rocked. I watch a lot and this is the first time I’ve ever commented but I loved your video. I walked away feeling like I you covered it very well I actually learned a lot I want to watch more of your videos cus I actually got rush. cuz so many videos I watch and walk away not learning a dang thing. Thanks
Gosh thank you so much ! Your the only person on UA-cam thats shown this !!!!! It have never worked on a mower before, but i can do this ! May God bless you!!
I was so happy to find your video. Exactly what I needed to see. Thank you.
Thanks, your video lifted me out of the poo
I used a chainsaw to get mine opened😅
hahahha
Thanks for posting this i have the exact same one
yes sir
Pretty useless video. All talk no valuable instruction or demonstration.
if this works Im sending you some money
It worked, Thanks for watching!
I love the pistol grip lever handle. Classic !
I like it too! Thanks for watching!
Excellent video, well explained and very didactic.. thanks for posting..
Yes sir! thanks for watching!
I'll agree with you except for moving the plate down. By doing that you are messing with the spring tension for the governor. If you do mess with moving the plate, be sure to adjust the governor back to location. before running the engine. Which really defeats your reason for moving the plate. Those two screws holding the plate have thread locker on them so that they don't vibrate and move. and to deter people from moving the plate. Adjust the idle with the idle screw, that is what is it's. there for.
The plate also has the slots in it for the adjustment! That's why there is elongated slots there! and that's how the Repair/Service manual says to do it! Thanks for watching!
Gotta agree with TnT on the plate adjustment. The service manual does state to adjust the max RPM by adjusting the plate after the throttle cable is properly adjusted as TnT states. Where I found a difference with this video and my own CV15S engine is the plate moving up decreases rpm and moving it downward increases rpm. This is because more or less tension is applied to the governor spring.
I have the older version of this mower, I have the 15.5 HP. thanks for the upload
no problem! Thanks for watching!
What’s the pin thing called
We always called it the plunger!
What's the name of the piece
Would be better to switch location of the filter and cut off valve, then can change filter with no mess
Good Idea! Thanks!
Pointer. Not trying to be rude but from a chemistry standpoint there really isn't any argument here. Synthetic oil has the same functional properties as conventional, however its more far more thermally stable and consistent. The engines are engineered for a certain weight oil and oil that has certain SAE and API specs. It does flow better an exasperate an existing oil leak on an older motor but otherwise there is zero reason to run conventional unless you're just trying to flip a vehicle.
I have my own thoughts on the subject! Hey thanks for watching!
Excellent video
Hey thanks for watching!
I have almost the exact same mower, the 15.5 HP and am trying to get it to drive faster. For my mower, full throttle is in the middle, choke is at the top and idle is at the bottom. How fast should the engine be running in idle? And how do I measure the RPM’s? I don’t want my engine exploding on me. I understand the concept but its kind of confusing
You saved my day!!! I've been looking a video for this!!! Thanks!!!
Exactly what I needed. Huge thank you.
Please what is the name of the push road or pin that pushes in to the master cylinder? Thanks
The name of it slips my mind but hammer head carts are the same thing! I'm sure one could also be made! I would call it a brake push rod!
Try brake piston, Or brake piston rod!
Thank you for taking the time to make this video! God bless you in Jesus' name :)
Great find! Been working on my Galaga score a lot on my Arcade1up Ms. Pac-man cocktail table. I wonder why they threw that out? I've never seen Xevious on any of the other arcade1up cabs.
I have Xevious on my Galaga 88 Countercade. They even made sure that cab specifically got an 8-Way Stick for Gaplus and Xevious and the only use of the extra button is the bombs on Xevious. I usually pull it out when I get bored with my Ms. Pac Partycade, and I’m itching for a hard game of Galaxian.
@@JacobSegaNerd That's cool!
I have no Idea why it was tossed in a dumpster, But My 5 year old sure enjoys it! Thanks for watching!
Great video!!! I have been driven crazy with my CV15S 15HP screaming at low idle since I swapped Carb and Linkages from my old Kohler that blew a conn rod. Place the replacement Kohler 15HP on , fired it up and it screamed high RPM. Immediately shut it off and looked for a sweet spot on that govenor shaft. Could not find it! Question: When you adjusted the govenor shaft conuter clock wise as the throttle plate was wide open, what was your throttle position? At low idle?
Fire it up and let it warm up and do the adjusting as its running! You will hear the sweet spot! But dont go by the way it sounded with the old carb as there was a reason you changed it! Also the two carbs may be internaly differant! The Thottle position was on idle,so low postion, Middle on mine is full then all the way up is choke!
Does it have a backlight
No Thats the one thing I dont like about it!
Awesome video man!!! That’s the missing link for me!!
I watched twice to get every ounce of information. I Thank you for it! 🙏
What size wrench did you use?
👍
That lift is pretty cool! My dad finally let me mess with our old riding mower, and I’m trying to get some more speed out of it and add a pedal I can use for throttle, seems like not many people really do this sort of thing!
Thank you! Please like and subscribe!
The lift is for doing paint and body work! It keeps the body clear for panel replacement!
Keep you the vids man
