How To Weld 3D Prints Together | Quick Tutorial
great vid but music is too loud can't hear what your saying
Thank you king, this was exactly the information I was looking for - appreciate your contribution to the community brother!
Is this printed with PLA or ABS?
I wonder what he’s printing in the background
dude, this is gold. I've been struggling with bondo for a few days now and this saved my projects haha
That was a horrible upgrade video lol
These are nothing new. They are all mods / upgrades that have been recommended by many other Ender 3 owners / uses. How about a mod / upgrade that is creative / different / exciting / new / not been done before / revolutionary?
Black and gray for sure. Looks great!
You don't need to mix a hardener with the putty?
@@DanielChaves1984 not with this specific Bondo product
Can you get different coloured graphite or do you mix colour with it? Awesome video :)
What if it’s every time the drill is used. Like every single time , that’s normal on brushed tools right ?
Yes it’s pretty normal
Thank you for this! Can you share what percentage of acetone you used here, please? :))
No true measurement you want it to be a runny mud consistency not to thick or it will be chunky
you'll learn that different viscosities work better for certain areas. I make it soupier for getting hard to reach areas, and much firmer for tops of armor, etc.
@@davidgaston7334 very true
Absolutely loved your video, and I have watched a LOT of these. Tons of great info and you explained it really well. Thank you!
Nice video, I appreciated the commentary. Some constructive feedback, the mask after the Bondo and primer was still pretty blurry in the vid so I couldn't really tell the surface finish. Good vid otherwise and thanks for the info. :)
can I really see from the inside?
Yes you can!
This was a great tutorial! I'm just starting out in the 3D print world, and always appreciate when people take the time to break down steps and processes like this!
Thank you for your comment it means a lot!
Do the back springs first and you won’t need to take clip off
great vid!
It's still work, but it definitely helps get the worst parts done.
Hi! im looking to make 2 small see though visors for my killer queen cosplay from Jojo's bizarre adventure, do you know how i could go about making the detailed eyes?
You could do vacuum forming if possible and honestly I want to say get creative and use some detailed brushes add some lighting if you would like but most of all don’t stress it to much it won’t be perfect but I’m sure it will look great I would love to see it finished let me know if your struggling with anything specific I’ll see if I have any ideas good luck !
@@ImperfectBuilds Thanks so much! ill let you know when im finishing, this is only my second cosplay helmet ive made, so im still learning but any feedback is greatly appreciated!
@@ImperfectBuilds Hey! i did some researching on vacuum forming, and it seems really promising! however, I don't have any moulds I can use to form the eye shapes, can you give me any tips on how to tackle this? in the meantime, someone suggested using a mesh, which would be much easier to paint in exchange for some quality, so i'll use that as a short term solution
@@christophermorris6576 if you have a 3D printer you might want to jump in to like mesh mixer and cut out the section you need then fill it and 3d print it or maybe there is some files out there already for eye molds already mesh could work as well tho might be less of a head ache
What is the point of the bed springs/ knobs? Like, what is the benefit?
The springs are more firm and the knobs are aluminum unlike the factory plastic ones. The springs being more firm reduce how often you have to manually level the bed and the knobs look nice and like I said are aluminum it’s more about the springs than anything.
No bullshit, right to the topic -love it !
Hi there, I'm in the process of the graphite powder on a Mando helmet, but how do you get rid of excess powder ? so that you can touch it after with no problems ?
You continue to work it in eventually it will all rub in and you won’t have any excess
Useless. Most of thge upgrades are just eye catching. I've had my Ender 3 already with new springs, glass on the hotbed and nice metal extruder. All of that under 70€.
I love that you made a deal in depth tutorial for this, I see a lot of it online but not in depth on how to do it
Acrylic spot putty shrinks. You will see in the print months later. Use polyester glazing putty instead. (Evercoat in the can)
Nice work man.
These are not new upgrades. They have been around for a long time. I have had my Ender 3 for a numbre of years, and, these were some of the first improvements / upgrades I did. "... From enhancing print quality to improving reliability, we'll cover a range of upgrades that are sure to make a significant impact on your printing experience. Whether you're a beginner or an experienced user, these upgrades will help you achieve stunning results and unlock the full potential of your Ender 3. Don't miss out on this ultimate guide to transforming your Ender 3 into a powerhouse of precision and creativity!" -- LOL -- these lines are a bit misleading. It is going to take more than just these two "upgrades' to transform the Ender 3 (Original versions) "... into a powerhouse of precision and creativity!"
Nice video.
Gloss black before the gold will make the gold pop 👍🏻
nice video. where can i buy the stl of the armor?
.Thanks for this nice video .Can you tell me what putty do you use?
Bondo spot putty! Thank you for watching!
Awesome video! Thanks for sharing your tips
You gave me the tools how to work mine. 1😃👍🏿
Bondo? Red Putty?
Should you wear a mask during the acetone and bondo stage, or just during sanding and spraying?
Definitely it is just hard to talk and explain with one and I have good ventilation in my garage I wasn’t to worried but always protect your self!
I got the body filler bondo thinking I would use it for stuff like this. Pain in the butt to mix with the hardner. I then saw this existed. I KNEW it was gonna be perfect for 3D print! Nice video. Also, just a tip, paint gold over gloss black. It will pop WAY more. Painting directly on grey primer is going to dull it out a bit.
Yes when I was searching I stared with the hardener stuff it dries way to quick and is more of a headache than anything! Thanks for the tip and comment!
You'll have an easier time if you work up through some more grits instead of going straight from 220 to 600. Do at least 400, if not 320 as well. You'll have an easier time getting some of those deeper scratches from the 220 out. Also, wetsanding at 1500 grit is largely pointless. I've only ever gone up to 1000, and even that's a little overkill.
Good job - thank you!
Just subscribed. Great video!!
Great work! Did you sand after bondo just before you primed it?
esa masilla no la encuentro en España, cual puedo usar aquí? saludos.
I didn't make it through the first 15 seconds before stopping the video, that music us FAR too loud
I disagree with you.
How water resistant is the graphite powder after applied? I'm thinking if you went outside and it rains.
It will handle the water fine if it start too dull just reapply another layer!
You don't even know how to use props and shoot your subject. Not to mention post-processing.
You amater.
Can you send me a link to your professional channel? Move on buddy , no reason to be hateful😮😮😮
Hey, new to your channel, info seems great. one constructive criticism, background music is really distracting and seems like something that should accompany a kids show. Thanks for the great info.!
I enjoy the goofy it’s not meant to be taken too seriously hopefully I can get a laugh out of you and give you some good information Thanks for watching and thanks for the comment.
Doesn't graphite conduct electricity? If yes, then you could theoretically electroplate the parts as well.
I’m not to sure wasn’t aiming for conductivity lol just for the look but that a a good question!
Is there something similar to create a copper/bronze finish?
I haven’t personally used anything like that but I will definitely keep my eyes out for it!
Got a lotta value out of this vid so I subbed. One suggestion for the metallic gloss would be to paint it black first than clear coat before the metallic gold for that real shine.
