I don't necesarily think this episode needed to explain what the thing is but it should have at least amounted to something. Ruby should have remembered the events and talked the doctor about it. Then some how it ties into the rest of ghe season or something. For me the ending really sucked

Im nervous Hollywod are thinking that animated films will never be good enough because they arent realistic and therefore cant tell a convincing story. Like thats the vibes im getting from this, that they thought the original wasnt good enough. I agree with what you say, if there is a reason to go live action and re-tell the story, then thats alright, but just recreating the film feels kinda dissrespectful to the original. I dunno, probably looking way too far into this.

It just feels like a remasters game that hasn't change its mechanics at all
