Awe thank you so much. I am still dealing with it but also realised I am not a multitasker. When I made these videos, I made 30, all in a row. I can only do it when I only focus on that. So I will make a decision to do another 30 videos in a row in the future. Lots of ideas planned. Thank you for your encouraging comments.

@@muffsmerinowell I babysit grandkids during the school year, I’m just about to get to my me time. I have all my dyes and bare yarns. So just a matter of time. I’m also going to felt a backpack because of your videos. Have all my stuff for that too

There might be a more pro way, but I place my yarn yank on the floor in a container, then I attach it to my skien winder and start turning, then poof, its a hank!

Hi Sandra, yeah unfortunately Sunflower Yellow is now discontinued. I definitely need to catch up on making dye videos. Dharma recommends replacing Sunflower Yellow with Brilliant Yellow because the reformulated version was so similar. I have now tested both yellows in this collection and the colours come out exactly the correct hue, only a bit brighter, clear and more intense. I think doubling the brown or black in the recipe could help tone down the colour if that's the desired look :)

@@muffsmerinoah. I chose duckling as the closest yellow. Oh well. Next order I’ll get the other.

@@sandradelvecchio6894 The Ducklings Depth of shade is 25% compared to Brilliant yellow, so it doesn't really match up properly for the recipes. I do recommend using the brilliant yellow as the best replacement :)

@@muffsmerinothank you, I will. I have to say I am notoriously bad at seeing color contrast. Hard to believe I want to try to dye these shades that are so close! But I figure if I follow your recipes I can come closer than my own eyes allow.

@@sandradelvecchio6894 and it’s great to experiment with different dyes and make your own new recipes! You can use the same amounts but experiment with mixing different dye colours :)

I have tested it once. My sander was so heavy and exhausting to use. It worked quite quickly, although I feel I had less control over the shaping.

Do you mean does the silk weigh 50g per meter? Hmm I don’t recall weighing it. It’s very lightweight. I can weigh a piece and will try my best to remember to add it into the video description!

It takes me 4-6 hours to complete :) once I’m done felting, I roll it on a dry towel. So it’s only damp. Should dry in the sun or over night.

It really depends how soapy your soap is. I usually add soap once I’m done laying out the fibre. It helps the wool to stick together during the layout so it can be helpful to use soap more if you’re a beginner. You want enough so, but not too much :)

Yes exactly! I’ve made so many mini ones now and because it’s so much faster to dye many colours, it’s really taught me how to dye solids well, in larger size even better. Highly recommend making samples :)

Yes definitely! There should be basic instructions for dyeing 1g sample swatches. But feel free to message me for any questions at all. The silicone cupcake tray works great. I weight out 1g of yarn. Then I use the 100g dye recipes amounts to calculate for 1g pieces. I see messages more quickly on Etsy :) But will check here too.

I appreciate you asking about the mohair tops so much. This is very encouraging. They are my dream and work in progress. I have size small patterns roughly written and drawn up. Ive hit a wall with converting them to other sizes. Will either learn how to do or or I will find someone who does this sort of thing. I plan to make UA-cam videos for each one on the future :)
