Texture between Chamfers
A request on one of my previous tutorials was to create a texture between two chamfered surfaces on cylinders. As per another request on my previous video, I did not add in any background music. Please continue to subscribe to my channel and hit the like button if you enjoy my content. Comments and questions are much appreciated!

Great tip, thanks for sharing! That "music" though was not easy to ignore
Thank you!
I learned so much from this video. Like that I can change the snap grid size (I just needed it!), how the ctrl+D works, how to use the inner object (by hiding one or more that I don't need at the moment), etc. Thank you for this video. :)
Omg the music in the background is ridiculous. It’s louder than your voice and super distracting.
Thanks for sharing. I can see you are using a spacemouse.
Great tutorial on a ground up approach. I am looking for brick, stone and rock textures/meshes that can be easily applied to structure models in Fusion.
Were you able to find something for this? I am looking for the same thing at the moment. Let me know!
Can there pls be a video of how to make a surface dented in fusion 360?
good video, but watched with the sound off to avoid the music.
teşekkür ederim 🙏
Control G does not make it red
IMHO, the music is very distracting
ummm, good video, ummm, good content, ummm, good job, ummm...
Any tips how to not make a box but same shape object (just a little bigger as a housing for the object? like an exterior not too thick with the same shape and adding supports.
when you press the box at about minute 4:07 You may need to hold the shirt key first then click the box and then the part and then group.
this is super easy to follow and will help me a bunch! thanks a lot :)
Why is the video resolution so low even at 1080p? Anyone else faced this?
how you can do that in plane square with lines
Works great if everything is a straight tube....Now do this on some organic, non uniform shapes.
This video is so helpful. Thank you for this quality content.
Not really texturing. Just a repeating pattern.
THAT'S A TEXTURE. LOL
Use blender if you want otherwise.
This is aaaa good video. Aaaaaa i aaaaa learn a lot aaaaa
You need to make the holes for the pin slightly bigger
Probably also some bevel on the pin edges could help too.
Now to learn how to do this on a square/rectangle
cheers mate thank for the great video
could not go under one revolution, 0.2 was red colored and could not press ok. i ofc ended up with a mess
I tried to watch this, but the music was so effing annoying I just couldn't go on
I know this is an old tutorial, but I pretty much followed these steps, ensured my holes were the exact same size as the pins...ad they don't fit... will making the pins a fraction of a mm make that big of a difference or should I just file them down and handle it that way?
When printing or using cnc machine, it's always important to calculate some tolerance (usually a difference under 1mm between pins and holes on a FDM printer) to make them fit. A little bevel on the edges of the pin could help too
odd i dont even have the "printables" or smithsonian options in dropdown.. i realize this is years old but why would they remove stuff instead of adding to it
It's still there.
beautiful!!! thank you
Any chance of a tutorial on complex geometry to show the same results? Great video, thanks.
Excelent video this helped me alot very very straight to the point and your instructions were also very clear thank you very much
Thank you for this video! That was very helpful. You're a great teacher. Thanks, Avram. (Btw, I'm making Grill Knobs for our Grill. So that's why I'm watching this video)
this helped me with my project thx
At 1:33 you "pull out two boxes". But it looked like you were just dragging in one it was so quick. Do I assume when the first box landed you just hit control D but omitted to mention you did that ? Obviously I'm a newbie. For us its helpful to not assume too much and mention more of the things you do behind the scenes, even though they're often basic and trivial. Nice video. Thank you so much.
thanks for the tutorial! learned a lot
You need to elaborate more on details. I followed your tutorial step by step and my coil disappeared after hitting ok. Not very helpful to the not so advanced brains here 🤦
por que colocan el titulo en español si el contenido es en ingles? para que mucha gente reproduzca inocentemente y a ustedes les aparezca un contador de visitas alto?
Thanks for the assist, really needed it.
You are a hero man! Thanks, was very straightforward and helped me a lot.. Cheers
Great video! Thank you!
Am I missing where the pour hole is?
Awesome video, just saved me a headache on a very involved print, thanks man!
What if you want to yake a black and white pattern? How can i get it on the roller?
what if i wanted to free hand draw the cut, like if i wanted to split the object with a squiggly line
There is a problem with this hinge in terms of it actually being "functional" though. It seems to be a common thing in many youTube tutorials, and I think it's because if revolute joints are applied, the animation will make it will appear to work no problem. The ACTUAL problem that would prevent this hinge from working can be demonstrated at 18:19 and the 23:00 minute marks. If you pause the video at 18:19 you can see that the edge of the top plate protrudes past the 3 cylinder parts. So that protrusion will prevent the two cylinders of the bottom hinge to align with the top three cylinders. You can also see it at the 23:00 mark. That corner edge of the plate? How is the cylinder of the other plate going to align with that cylinder if you don't remove that corner edge?
Great video! a little hard to concentrate with the background noise though.
i just found this video, and my brain has burst into a million pieces!!!!!!!!!!
top
I am absolutely mesmerized by how you are able to smoothly glide and rotate your camera view. How did you do it? I've seen lots of tutorials demonstrating this but I haven't a clue how they do it.
Look for a SpaceMouse
Precision mouse
They have this mouse colloquially called a space mouse that is kind of like a stick shift in a car. You grab it and it registers all of the movement, pan, tilt, rotation, etc.
Thanks very much for this video; just what I was looking for... SUBSCRIBED !!!
