Since you not ridings so often sell it and Finish of the golf 1 just my opinion
I tried to sell it all summer, no luck. And unfortunately I’m probably selling the mk1 rabbit.
Damn, looks good but I prefer the wide five smoothies.
I am not sure these will be the forever wheels but I like being able to see the big brakes. I do like the smoothies and have some plans for those soon so be sure to continue to watch. Thank you for the comment!

Cool car show. That’s the ‘last best’ generation of cars….parts were relatively inexpensive, easy to work on & you didn’t need a scan tool to change brake pads (thx bmw 😂), and I love the styling….👍
I completely agree. Much easier to do just about anything. These cars still had character, today's cars are just boring to me.
If you really don't put anything in it, leave it off.
I typically keep folding chairs, a tarp, and hammock in the roof box. Might keep my detailing supplies in there too, mostly to free up the trunk and show off the tank setup. Thank you for the comment and support!
It’s a little refreshing to see other cars other than just euros sometimes. I think you should keep roof box on for Roots, it accentuates the long roof 🤘🏻

Dual circuit is the way to go. I converted my cars after I had a wheel cylinder blow and lost all my brakes (with the wife & son in the car). It’s good reassurance even with a drum brake car.

Bruh do you live on a farm?! Did you use a rubber mallet to bend that metal? Get a dual circuit master cylinder. Won’t be that bad to do the job. NOS means new, not used, but used German is better than new Chinese. I don’t think those gauges fail since they are mechanical. Did you check your sending unit?
I’m up against a farm, I wish I owned that land but they won’t sell. You’re right I meant OEM. Speedo cable was broken and the original fuel gauge cable was just stretched and wouldn’t read anything even when I pulled the cable. I used a small sledge to bend those tabs.
Also I ordered a Dual Circuit Master this morning.

I am taking the Beetle to a show early August so I need it back together. Then my focus will be the Golf/Joker for a big show in early Sept. (bigger brakes, and a few other loose ends) Then after that I will get the BMW running. suspension and brakes/tires. Then Build the VR6 motor to swap into the Joker but the earliest I can do the swap is mid/late November due to some shows. So there is a plan for the projects. Ideally id like to have them running and drive as often as possible.

Yeah the blue is a bit different than other blues from that time. I honestly think it was resprayed.

Those things are the bump stops. Stock trailing arms allow for a bracket that holds a rubber bumper.
