Thank you maam for presentation of this experiment in a very simple way. One important point I noted in this experimet, that is standardization of NaOH and always students make mistake on this.... Standardization of NaOH is very important in this experiment because NaOH is secondary standard.

How to know whether the drug eliminated is by metabolism also or by renal excretion only
Sorry for late, actually very late reply. Drug is eliminated by biliary excretion or renal excretion can be determined by analytical methods and it's Hepatic extraction Ratio and GFR. If its Extraction Ratio is more that means it is undergoing mainly biliary excretion and if it's GFR and Renal clearance is high that means it is mainly excreted by Renal route.
