Another ANOTHER Transcription Video! (Concert Key of C)
(ORIGINAL VIDEO NOT MINE!)
Loving this series of transcription videos so why not make another!! This solo has always been super interesting to me just because I've never really heard jazz bass clarinet before this! I love this whole track because of its weird harmony and fantastic use of percussion, theremin and obviously, BASS CLARINET!!
This solo is so fun and bouncy and I hope you guys enjoy my showcase of it!

just in case this isn’t sarcasm (which I think it is), this is a black lacquer tenor saxophone, specifically the Selmer Super Action 80 Series II
Wow. People posting cool material and people getting upset because they posted their own material in concert C instead of key of Bb for tenor saxophone. Be grateful for someone posting great material. We can do the rest by transposing a whole step instead of attacking the person making great material. They play flute and other instruments. Be grateful and thankful for the great material to entertain us and for us to learn from

Why is this in concert? The instrument is in Bb?
I prefer to transcribe in C just because I play Piano, Bassoon, Flute etc. Its easier for me (although I can publish the transposed version aswell)
@@TheNotSeeingEyeYou should do it the other way because this is a tenor solo which would make most people assume it's in Bb and if it's just randomly in C then it's weird and off-putting. So you can just do some extra work to do in the normal key of the instrument then do it in c as an optional. Because realistically the ones who would follow this along the best are tenor players but if it's suddenly not in Bb would throw off a lot of people and tenor players who would also try to play this and realize it's not in Bb.

its also a good exercise, essential for a musician

I discovered insaneintherainmusic (Carlos Eiene) as a child and that was how I was introduced to jazz. His video game jazz covers and arrangements inspired me to play saxophone in my school band. Now making music is something I can’t imagine living without. Carlos changed my life and I’m so grateful.

You can't play that low on an Alto! (Unless if Carlos was using something to put inside the bell to make VERY low notes possible)

It's in concert pitch, Db3 is the concert pitch of bottom Bb on alto
yea i thought alto sax can't go that lower until I realised this transcription was transposed to C (Eb is the alto sax) so got little confused. You can still go lower than a low Bb on alto by putting your knee on the bell to flatten it into an A or even an Ab/G# (or use like a cover/mute to make stupidly low notes)
