Mary and I decided to try out the new restaurant at the Cambridge Airport - KCGE. Carol's Kitchen opened on 9/11 and we wanted to get in the air so we went to try it out. A short but fun flight with a near miss on the return to Ocean City. A Bald Eagle passed by the cowl and then banked dipping under our right wing. Way to close for us that's for sure. My mic here in the office sounded terrible...

We decided to take advantage of the gorgeous weather and head to Wilkes-Barre KAVP. It's been a while since my bride and I made the trip. A quick hop back to N57 - New Garden to once again address my manifold pressure gauge. The new line installed at annual was fine, what failed was the AN fitting that connected to the gauge, it was blocked solid. It's good to have the gauge squared away and now very responsive. Just a quick test flight to check on oil pressure and temps. My last flight, our return from Savannah, indicated about ten degrees warmer temps and the pressure was just below the normal indication on all my flights. Our return home from Savannah GA. I once again made it a one stop to top off fuel, this time in Kinston, NC - KISO. Great service and best fuel prices around for 100LL. This is the video of our flight to KSAV, Savannah, GA. We broke up the flight into two legs and took on cheaper fuel at Grand Strand, KCRE.
