50/1.4 is still a very good lens. And in my opinion there is no big difference between F1.4 and F1.8 so this lens would be a great replacement. F1.2 is a bit different story because the bokeh shape is different thanks to the special number of blades used.

Thanks! Nice gear you have there! About your question, I use both A7RV and this lens and I didn’t experience any issues. I had a photo session today during 31°C outside without cover and all good. Not sure if this is a lens issue.

@@danielw.3888 yeah same here, no problems with overheating during this heat. And I was out for pretty much the whole day.

You should definitely go with the kit lens. When starting out, it’s always better to be able to change the focal length.

Kit len for easy to use for beginer but the quality image not good, after few month you can buy 27mm F2.8 but you need the learning about aperture ( F4 is better) and focus ( i often use DMF mode and center focus )

Yeah, you can use it but remember that you have an APS-C sensor so you will get 42-72mm f2.7 on that zv-e10

It was the 1/8, I remember the 1/4 was too strong for my taste.

@@arifdaniel9106 nah, if you need a specific video needs than this one isn’t for you. It’s better to get a used ZV-E10 or A6400 that are still budget friendly.

The good image quality is maintained. I'd encourage you to visit the dxomark's Apple iPhone 15 Pro Max camera test. It is practically the same image. The only two downsides are: 1) Minor vignette at 1x cropped in post. No vignette at 1.2x (24mm), 1.4x(28mm) and 2x (35mm) modes. And 2) Depending on your orientation to the sun, flares will be visible, sometimes large, sometimes small. No sun hood included.

Thank you! I haven't found this information anywhere, so if the camera is of poor quality, an additional lens will not affect the quality of the photo - that's my opinion.

Yeah mostly at ND2 so barely noticable but still gave me this nice softer look thanks to the black mist coat.

Nope, just bought the version 1 brand new for 400 less & don't really much apart from the new motors/af speed - 100g lighter isn't anything when it still weighs just about 750g
