I live in Barcelona and love visiting the south. I would love to do this journey. It used to take 11 hours and believe that service still runs. I have to say however that you can find much cheaper flights. I have travelled a return trip for less €70.

Did they make you leave cabin really early? Did you have to leave We have 2 anxious dogs and I’d like to stay in cabin till just before go to car? Thanks
I just randomly saw your comment. So I travel with my dog too. They inform everyone to leave the cabin earlier. I really want to delay it so when they knock I tell them that I will stay a little longer. I stay 30 minutes more and then I take my dog and I go on the top deck and stay there till we reach the port. Because if we go to the lower decks my dog gets anxious in between all the people. When I they make the announcement for the drivers to go to the parking this is when we go to the car. Hope I helped you.

Thanks for a brief and enjoyable video. Note that *currently* there's no direct Netherlands-London service by Eurostar. Passengers must disembark at Brussels Midi for UK Border controls and this of course adds to journey time.
FYI because some travellers are confused (eg Eurostar does not offer "first class") Eurostar is rebranding from November 4 to offer: Eurostar Standard, Eurostar Plus and Eurostar Premier.

It is. Problem is that Eurostar serves only London. Hence inconvenient for travellers not within easy reach of the capital. Now you can understand why there are so many air links from the UK regions to Netherlands.

business premier gets a hot breakfast / istr 4 course hot meal on later trains and access to the arrivals lounges at Rotterdam and Amsterdam.

Uber is available in Spain. But why use Uber when you have high speed rail?
People prefer to use proper Taxi's that are licensed by local government - these drivers are mostly local and very knowledgeable - not out of town strangers who jump from town to town whenever they want. I have never used Uber and never will !!
I took this train 8 years ago. It was better than the trains in my country. (Turkey)
Doing our 5th Croatian road trip in 4 weeks time, this time looking to take in Mostar too. This has put me in the correct frame of mind to do some route planning. The hard part is finding new places and routes to go, having done the Belgium/Germany/Austria/Slovenia, France/Switzerland/Italy/Slovenia, France/Belgium/Luxembourg/Germany/Italy/Slovenia routes and variations. This time we are looking to do a wee detour via Liechtenstein and the dolomites, so I'll have to watch part 2!

@@alexwm369 I did Brindisi to Igoumenitsa last week and the Minoan ship is from 2001 and you can tell. The Pullman seat area was neglected. The disco was closed. Don't buy food in advance, wait to see in person what looks fresh. It wasn't a terrible experience but it was a step down from the newer ferries I've been on. But 10x better than some of the ferries I've been on in other areas of the world. The public shower was disgusting, I wanted to puke from the smell. The damage from neglect has been ongoing for so long they probably need to rebuild that entire shower room for it to not smell so terrible from all the mold growing in there. Curious what the cabins are like as I imagine they prioritize a better experience for people paying more money.

Here in South Australia, a 45 minute ferry trip to Kangaroo Island, with your own car is $500+, (depending on vehicle length) and that’s not including passenger fares. You’re doing pretty well for an overnight trip with a cabin! Enjoying your videos. Cheers mate

Thanks for sharing, nice trip. Did the same trip in the opposite direction. Gare de Nord really scared us ( retired couple ). We were followed by 3 African looking thugs who were trying to get near to us ( wanted to rob or mug us ). They kept surrounding us, trying to distract us. Early morning so no one was around. Fortunately we made it to safety where several passengers/officials were nearby. It was very upsetting, scary and potentially dangerous. NOT going back there.

This is a journey we a few times a year. Barcelona_London and London-Barcelona. Always with Interrail. And between Gare du Nord and Gare du Lyon, I suggest you another way, so by bus. The 91 is perfect.
There has been direct service from Malaga to Seville for many years. Slower and more interesting ..I spent a few hours in Osuna. On the return I took the bus from Seville to Malaga.....an even more interesting journey than the train.
