Cycling up the Hudson Valley from NYC to Bear Mountain
On May 20 I biked from Manhattan to Bear Mountain State Park via the Palisades. 55 miles total. Took me seven and a half hours. Took the MNR train back from Peekskill. Fun ride.

Today there were snow squalls in Miller Place, Suffolk County, NY. The air temperature was 45 degrees F so it sounds like snow is unlikely, but the mid and upper levels were at record cold levels, e.g. it was 12 degrees F at the 850 mb level.

Around Valentines 2020, I visited far upstate NY and Northern Vermont. In the first part of the video we are hiking Algonquin peak and the temperature is around -23C (-10F) near the summit, but with 15-25 mph winds it feels much colder than that! The next morning, we are measuring temperature in Elizabethtown NY and it is around -25C (-13F) with calm winds. Later in the same afternoon we take t...
Cold Week in Yellowknife (full version)

Last week (10-15 January of 2020) I visited Yellowknife for the second time in two years. This time I mostly walked around in the scenic areas and trails. The weather was the coldest in a long time, at times well below -40 degrees (which is the same in Fahrenheit and Celsius) WITHOUT the windchill factor. The last time there was a seven-day period this cold was the week of New Years' 2009. My t...

The first part of this video was taken on the morning of 17 January 2019. The winds were calm and the temperature was around -37C, causing ice fog to develop over the Great Slave Lake near Yellowknife! In the second part of the video (starting around 1:09) it is the afternoon of 18 January 2019. There, it is -31C and we are at the top of the monument in Old Town Yellowknife.

@@Shonade_Malik I didn't think Ontario even really had Arctic areas. I know some places there can get really cold in the winter like along Hudson Bay in the far north but that still isn't really in the Arctic yet. Even Yellowknife is still in the subarctic slightly below the circle.

@@crepesoftime Oh I didn't mean an Arctic area in Ontario, the Hudson Bay Lowlands are like the coldest region there and I don't think they even reach 60 degrees latitude. I meant in general like some Arctic or subarctic area in Canada.

Manual can be found in the link below, it has the name and all the specs you want like precision width etc. www.greisinger.de/files/upload/en/produkte/bda/GTH175_PT_EN.pdf It costed $100 when I bought it. It's hard to find anymore, it used to be available on Amazon, as well as conrad and rapidonline, but seems to have been discontinued around a year ago.

Thank you for showing an actual thermometer instead of your phone because my acurite tube thermometer which was tested for accuracy in ice water, (it read 0°C like it should), said 16°F while my device showed 27°F. That’s right, it was 11 degrees off. It also read 76°F while my thermostat also showed 76°F. But it’s a $2 thermometer so I’m not completely sure if it’s correct.

I went there a couple of times on business. Let me say that when you go there on business, you don't plan for -40 degrees. The first time I went, I wore just a T-shirt. No long-sleeve shirt and no jacket of any kind. I learned my lesson and so the next time I went I prepared accordingly. It was funny the second time I went. The guy at the airport was talking about some idiot who showed up the year before wearing nothing but a T-shirt. I smiled and said that that was me. I must have become a legend that they talk about around their campfires. I wonder if the stories are still being told after 10 years...I should go back for a visit - my adoring fans might miss me.

Day after tomorrow is just a science fiction movie like the movie 2012 for promoting the libtard agendas. Both California and the east of the USA having record low temperatures in the spring of 2019 is not a sign of global warming as the libtards drivel about. It's global cooling because no place else is getting hotter than last year.
