Very true 👍 But if you are fighting another apex, Rex, eo, bars, spino, then if you bone break you go on cooldown but if you stomp while they are just spamming you with regular attacks, you will take more damage because the stomp on an apex is not a ton of damage and they will out damage you while you are on cooldown from the bone break and in an animation from the stomp. But you are right about the stomp while on cooldown dose help with damage as long as the opponent is smaller and has less combat weight than your rex

@@ambush501st Howdy Ambush, I'm wondering if Dylan is onto something. While bite is on cd, the stomp may be better even for apex's depending on how long the animation is compared to the cooldown.

Face tank only works if that's where the hits actually land. Take eo for example, the usually are inside your body when they are striking so it's registering on your body, not your head, so facetank does nothing.

@@andrewlevesque3468 lol I know .... so with that in mind what do u think I do in fights? You gotta use terrain , turn speed etc to ur advantage bro. Most people with rexes just think it's deep rumble and bite while taking a buncha unnecessary hits

@alphapyke2619 of course use whatever you can, rex turn speed does leave much to be desired though, so gotta be smart with that. But I always think it's whatever feels best to you. I land alot of clutch bone breaks on small stuff and rumble is enough to me to put rex over the other apex in the game. No build is wrong though, was just pointing out incase you didn't know.

There is no doubt that face tank is a great advantage in an apex fight as long as the opponent is willing to stay in and fight, but my build is made to try and hunt effectively and also hold it's own against other apexs! That's why I run bone break coz it can actually kill confirm

You still need some sort of skills to play it. Indo is a good rex that's why he did that video. You, on the other hand, would suck on rex with either your hands or feet if you don't know what to do.

@@frank2510 I don't suck with rex lol. I'd grow and prove if it was easy getting food, when 90% of the server wasnt a mid tier. But I guess you can consider pressing shift + w and right click spamming a skill tho.

No the other 2 hides are much better why are you running away as a rex anyway you wont get far better to fight then turn tail and run letting them bite your tail

I'm not a fan of speed hide myself. I don't like to run from fights and as far as catching prey the Rex more or less has to try and ambush it's prey to be successful, not many dinos that you can rundown and catch or run away from. There is also an Technique you can use on Rex to improve your speed without hitting full run, you just hit your sprint on and off very quickly and it will do kinda a quick step without running or making too much sound

I actually do get mixpaced a lot but almost all my clips I show on UA-cam are ones where I got away from mixpack or I kill the guy In the 1v1 soon quick and did not take an obvious route to a hc , so in short I usually don't show clips of a kill that I didn't turn in the trophy for!

As for the areas that I hunt in, it started out by being the place that me and my friends quested in, but now that I mostly play solo, I have found that it's not too hot of a spot where you get jumped all the time by mix packers, but it's popular enough that there is still 1v1s and hunt potential. As far as the 10k solo, that was harder to do because it made me either get better at playing Rex or just give up! This game is a survival game! In order to survive you never give up! If you die on Rex it was because you was in an extremely unfair fight or you made mistakes that got you killed! Always look to learn from every fight! I appreciate you and the kind w😁

I have been asked quite a few times to do a more advanced guide on Rex, so I have been giving I a lot of thought. Thank for checking out the video 😊
