Thanks for sharing! Just a quick off-topic question: I have USDT in my OKX wallet and I have the recovery phrase. 「pride」-「pole」-「obtain」-「together」-「second」-「when」-「future」-「mask」-「review」-「nature」-「potato」-「bulb」. What is the best way to transfer them to Binance?
the bg music needs to be louder, some voice was still leaking through.
learned something new! thanks for sharing!
So incredibly sad. Hopefully Trump will change this.
Thanks for the analysis! Could you help me with something unrelated: I have a SafePal wallet with USDT, and I have the seed phrase. (alarm fetch churn bridge exercise tape speak race clerk couch crater letter). Could you explain how to move them to Binance?
This would work if the Blockchain system is maintained by a centralized org which makes it the very thing it initially sought to destroy
Blockchain is still nothing nowadays
Use cng trucks or bio fuel trucks or ethanol blended truck
Ontario needs more railroads to take cars and trucks off the roads.
Great content, as always! I have a quick question: I have a SafePal wallet with USDT, and I have the seed phrase. (air carpet target dish off jeans toilet sweet piano spoil fruit essay). What's the best way to send them to Binance?
This has been a public service announcement from the American Association of Railroads. A lobbying group for railroad industry.
What’s with the annoying music?
I was hoping to find out what was in those containers. It was vaguely mentioned here but I'd like to see a more in depth video on it. This was excellent information to learn! Every time I see trains, I think about all that money just passing me by and I wonder how or if I could maybe get a small portion of it.
I can choose what im focusing on , narrator or music , IT'S NOT THAT HARD Hopefully none of you are the surgeon or the high wire acrobat 😂🤣😅 , that " nasty " clapping 👏👏👏 can be sooo dangerous 😂🤣😅
Raul is also much easier to electrify and won’t be reliant on batteries
The music was too loud to hear the announcer.
and if US eletyfie ther lines you cold even save more fuel ;]
its only good on coal trains but for mix traffic well i hope taller pantograph in US exist so they can have stacked containers
Now, if we could just get the North American railroads to install overhead wire electric power for their trains. India has already done this on over 90% of their main line railroads and is working towards 100% electric powered trains in just two years. Indian railways has begun operating several dedicated freight corridors with extra high wires to allow taller goods trains, including double stack container cars, to operate safely in the corridors. The dedicated freight corridors have been a huge success for Indian railways, and the Indian government is planning on building massive expansions of them over the next twenty years. India has successfully electrified tens of thousands of kilometers of railroad lines all over the country from the tops of frozen Himalayan passes to scorching deserts in Rajasthan, to cyclone prone swamps in Kerala. Electric powered trains are now a common sight in both remote villages like Khajuraho and mega cities like Delhi and Mumbai. By going all electric on its railroads, India has reduced its dependence on imported oil and its carbon emissions dramatically. In the event of war with China Indian railways will be able to keep running and support the Indian economy and military no matter how successful China is in sinking oil tankers bound for Indian ports. If India can make all of this happen, just 80 years after the British empire had completely destroyed their country, there's no good reason why insanely rich North America can't do this. Well done, India🙏 🇮🇳 jai hind
And they have the advantage that they can be electrified much easier than trucks. Overhead electrification has existed for 100 years
So who's gonna feed all those truck drivers and their families mate? You?
What are your sources
Trains definitely haul much more tonnage at a lower cost. But they are slow to load and unload and tracks don't run everywhere. They're great for shipments that aren't time sensitive. Trucks can haul smaller amounts of cargo over short distances much faster. They are both needed to deliver goods.
Extensive Rail Network + Interstate Roadways = One Strong United States! 🚚 🚂 🇺🇸 😊
The music is annoying imo
great stuff!
Question When did we first start using bar codes on products? Answer: "Bar codes have been around since 1963 and were introduced as a means of identifying products in commercial transactions in the 1970s. A product of the computer age, they are alphanumeric codes that are read by a laser (scanner)." Back in the 70''s while working in a small distribution warehouse for 5 variety stores I first noticed bar codes on the cardboard cases of merchandise. There were no scanners in the stores back then yet.
Some of the locomotives have single or twin turbo v12s too. So 4500 hp out of a “smaller” engine
And they're all junk. You mention cheaper then China. You know what is even more cheaper? Building it in the USA.
"ethanol" well you're net negative on that sooooo
And trains can be electric oc
very shallow and high level, was expecting use cases
Nice video! So, I have heard statistics about freight transportation that sound contradictory. One says that railroads transport 40% of the ton miles in the USA, while another says that trucks transport 85% of our freight (no ton miles given in the latter). Is intermodal freight included in the stats for both modes?
I live a block away from a freight rail line. People complain about the trains all the time (people complain about everything). I even heard one person question why they don't just use trucks for all of those containers. I explained to them that those container trains are up to 2 miles long and are double-stacked. Do you really want 4 miles MORE of trucks rolling up the interstate every 30-60 minutes???? Not to mention the need for a few thousand more drivers to drive those trucks plus the added pollution? I'll take the inconvenience of occasionally having to wait 5 minutes or so for a train to pass.
That's why in India, we are building 2800 KM long Dedicated Freight Corridor (1700 KM complete already) with 12,000 HP electric locomotives.
Trains>Trucks
Ship, train, then truck. That is how it should be. Trucks should only be used for the last few miles of transportation.
1:04 ayy it’s the 201 class
I wish you would have mentioned Electric trains which are the most Efficient form of locomotive
This is not true about the fuel usage. Trains ARE more efficient at moving large amounts of cargo compared to trucks. Each locomotive holds thousands of gallons of fuel, and if you're lucky you might get 1 mpg from each locomotive across flat prairies with little to no incline of the track. But 1 gallon for 1 ton 500 miles? Impossible, simple as that.
it's just a metric. nobody's moving a 1 ton load with a train
For those of you still wondering, search about WAG-12, the most powerful locomotive in the world with 12,000 HP, developed by Indian Railways and Alstom. That thing is a true beast.
Actually the strongest loco in the world is the Chinese Shen 24, which is rated at 39K hp, 27K hp more than the WAG-12.
Disliked: An avalanche of buzzwords with no particular technical substance
These numbers are mainly for the us; in europe trains are shorted and the weight per axle is less
The railroad is the only transport mediun that over the history declines in favour of the rest, now it tries to regain its populatity
One another thing that probably makes trains very efficient is aerodynamics, since really only the locomotive has to punch a hole through air. I wonder if a train by weight is more aerodynamic than an f-22 raptor.
the gaps between containers/trailers probably creates most of the drag
By their very nature aircraft are “draggy”. They create drag just to stay airborne (called induced drag). Look up the fuel burn for a 747 ….
i dont think trains are very aerodynamic
@@PanzerkampfwagenVITigerIAusfE why not? I think the explanation I gave makes sense, atleast to me. Passenger high speed trains like shinsanken or TGV are probably the most aero dynamic machines on the planet, considering how much work they can do.
@@tyren818 the most aerodynamic machines are airplanes, low speed trains are really bad at these because of the gaps between cars and high speed trains are a little better but still generate a lot of drag
3:12 What is the name of this bridge?
They should make it so that trucks can piggy back ride on trains so that they can cover long distances efficiently and easily move to last mile delivery mode easily
That actually would not work well at all for a variety of reasons: 1) Most truck drivers have an assigned tractor (or are an owner-operator) and they do NOT like driving someone else's truck, nor do they ever want somebody else driving their truck. Plus, most containers aren't hauled a tremendous distance once they hit the road and most of those drivers work for local companies that aren't national carriers. So you would end up with the container lines having to buy a huge number of trucks or a very limited number of drivers available to drive that "last mile". 2) That would take a huge number of trucks out of service for "x" number of days when they could be on the road making money. 3) Offloading trucks in the same way they offload vehicles from a car carrier requires every railcar to be disconnected. When you have a container train that's upwards of 2+ miles long, that is a LOT of work and time. It's MUCH quicker to pluck a container or trailer off of a railcar and leave the railcars stationary. Then they just have to drop the container on a chassis or drop the trailer on the ground and move it with a yard dog. Much quicker and a lot less work.
Except the train has zero emissions control on the exhaust system spewing black smoke while the modern trucks have zero black smoke and in many cities actually emit cleaner air from the exhaust than what is coming into the motor Thanks to the DPF and SCR systems that scrub all contaminants. Also to mention is that the most recent technology semi trucks are able to achieve fuel efficiencies of 400 ton miles per gallon or better when spect correctly. This is extremely close to train efficiency but with substantially better versatility and speed
US trains have a lot of room for improvement …
but oh wait a average SUV around the world done more damage than trains do!
Why aren't the US railroads electrified? It is a great way to avoid a huge amount of emissions.
they cant fit with their double stack intermodal trains, but i recommend use electrification on a specific traffic type of freight like coal haul
Sounds great but here in Australia we don't have the rail infrastructure or the the lines have been closed. But that's typical of us here
Fail : the video didnt tell us how many miles a truck can carry 1 ton for 1 gallon of fuel ..no direct comparison ..we were waiting thru the entire video to hear that information ..but ..that information was withheld
Modern diesel trucks 2018+ are achieving 400 ton miles per gallon currently and it's getting better every year... Mention the emissions from the semi truck is substantially cleaner than the unfiltered train exhaust that doesn't have an SCR system either
