    Thank you for the recipe, I appreciated the history too! I like to boil and then roast the oxtails in the oven before putting them in the soup. I think it adds a depth

    Here in AZ a lot of taco stands just use mesquite charcoal and salt. That’s it. That’s what I’ve been using for 10+ years now.

    I've been cooking chicken for 50 years, never needed a thermometer to tell me when it's done, and no one ever got sick from eating my chicken. Also, no measurements? No quantities?

    I was introduced to plate lunch when I lived in Hawaii. I love it!! My favorite part is when the the juice from the meat runs under the Mac salad and rice and gets all mixed together. Yum!

    Haha….I’m born and raised here….you are right we make shoyu chicken everywhere…but there is no way anyone would serve you only one piece of chicken….unless they were from the mainland. 😂
