за такую "работу" в шею надо гнать... что это такое!!!!... главные герои постоянно выпадают из кадра, обьёма нет, ничего нет... там кто операторами занимался, откуда они? одни "обрезки" причем это не вторичные, третичные это главные актеры, действующие лица.... позорище, так запороть работу другим.

What a masterpiece. Very sixties and timeless at the same time. A brilliant arrangement for the orchestra. Although the music is not in the same chronological series as the opera it makes sense somehow. Even Micaela's aria for the short reconciliation between Carmen and José. As if he was at home for some moments. As a musician, I love to see the structure of the music in repeating steps and movements and clearly distinguished characters with their motions. I enjoyed every second. At first, I thought: wow, the restrictive Soviets then did interesting experiments. But after reading most of the comments I understand that Plisetskaja and the whole team took a high risk. Thankfully from Germany. 🥰

The scene between Philip and the Grand Inquisitor is chilling; there's a YT video (in German) with Martti Talvela and Josef Greindl that'll make your hair stand on end! Talvela is absolutely skin-crawlingly frightening as the Inquisitor! I recommend it highly.

Has there ever been a dishier Carlo? and what a voice!! A splendid performance by all. We just do not hear this kind of singing any more. Thank God for recordings like this!!
