    Do you have any vacuum recommendations for post construction cleaning??

      @blackowningit 3 місяці тому

      First, thank you for watching my video! I really appreciate your support. Here are a few vacuum options that I use for residential post-construction: - Shark NV356E Navigator Lift-Away Professional Upright Vacuum: (amzn.to/3xU34aV) - HYLA GST Water Filtration Vacuum with Accessories: (amzn.to/461lxyM) I've also created a free Google Sheet that I update regularly. In it, you will find links and a comprehensive list of supplies I use for all types of projects. You can check it out (docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1wRZyAqErdpBSFuzCV1tkNZiVeGEvukIu4zQ2cdJeZcM/copy).

    • @blackowningit
      @blackowningit 3 місяці тому

      @@LeaveItBetter-CaitlynR not necessarily you just have to pay attention to what you pick up because nails and large debris can damage the machine. There are two other machines on the list I sent you. You could use a Pro Team backpack vacuum or a Hyla. Both work great and I have used them.

    I would love to know pricing. I have a business I started almost a year ago. I haven’t move forward to the next step which is getting a client. I feel like I don’t know how to price. UA-cam videos also always leave that out. Nobody wants to share their cost. That would be most helpful is to see a place and name a price and say what state your in so we can know how to price in our area. I’m in Cali it’s way more expensive then most places. I would love to see examples of small commercial spots and post construction cost to clean.

    • @blackowningit
      @blackowningit 5 місяців тому

      Thank you for your comment! Pricing can indeed be challenging, especially when you're just starting out. The costs can vary widely based on location and the specifics of the job. Here are some general tips to help you get started: 1. Research Local Rates: Check out what competitors in your area are charging. This can give you a baseline to work from. 2. Consider Your Costs: Make sure to factor in all your expenses, including supplies, labor, and overhead, to ensure your pricing is sustainable. 3. Price Per Square Foot: For small commercial spots, a common method is to charge per square foot. Rates can range from $0.10 to $0.50 per square foot depending on the complexity and frequency of cleaning. 4.Post-Construction Cleaning: This typically costs more due to the intensive nature of the work. Rates can range from $0.20 to $0.60 per square foot or more, depending on the level of debris and the detail required. For example, in California, you might charge around $0.30 per square foot for standard commercial cleaning and up to $0.60 per square foot for post-construction cleaning due to the higher cost of living and operating expenses. I don't necessarily price per square foot. I generally base my pricing on labor and expense cost with a minimum of a 20% profit built in. I will work on creating a video outlining how I price jobs. I hope this helps! If you have any specific questions, feel free to ask. Best of luck with your business!

      @blackowningit 6 місяців тому

      Absolutely! Post-construction cleaning does involve deep cleaning, but there are some differences compared to a standard deep clean. In post-construction cleaning, you may encounter heavy dust removal, paint splatter cleaning, and other specific tasks related to construction debris. These factors need to be accounted for to ensure thorough cleaning and restoration of the space. If you have any specific concerns or requirements, feel free to let me know!

      @@blackowningit Lol i keep wanting to say thanks it doesn't feel sufficient! Pricing IS a nightmare. I'm looking into post-construction clean and trying to figure out estimates. Thank you for your kind words! Pricing can be challenging, especially initially. Post-construction cleaning involves more than a standard or deep clean, often posing risks like loose nails and heavy dust. Hi! Do you have any tips on how to land contracts with businesses ?

    • @blackowningit
      @blackowningit 6 місяців тому

      Hi! Landing contracts with businesses can be achieved through various methods. One way is to utilize platforms and companies that connect you with job leads, such as Thumbtack for residential or subcontracting for commercial sites. Another approach is to attract clients organically through your website using Google search, which requires SEO efforts and knowledge. It's essential to define your target client and choose a strategy that aligns with your goals. Feel free to reach out if you have more questions!

      @blackowningit 11 місяців тому

      Hi there! Congratulations on starting your new cleaning company! Post-construction cleaning requires attention to detail. Here's a basic checklist that might help: Debris Removal: Clearing all construction waste, including wood scraps, packaging materials, and other debris. Dust Removal: Wiping down surfaces, walls, ceilings, and fixtures to eliminate dust. Floor Cleaning: Vacuuming carpets, mopping hard floors, and removing any adhesives or residues. Window Cleaning: Removing stickers, paint splatters, and cleaning windows thoroughly. Detailing Fixtures: Polishing fixtures, sinks, faucets, and other hardware. Bathroom Cleaning: Disinfecting toilets, sinks, showers, and tiles. Kitchen Cleaning: Wiping down cabinets, countertops, appliances, and ensuring they are sanitized. Final Inspection: Walking through to ensure everything is clean and in order. Remember, each construction site might have specific needs, so be flexible to adapt your checklist accordingly. Best of luck with your cleaning company! Is there anything else I can assist you with? Feel free to ask and we can chat for a few minutes.
