    4:15 that point of view is better because we can actually see the arrow and the target. If you keep doing these try this one more.

    There are two settings on the release. Travel and tension. Travel is the movement of the trigger before it fires, Set that to a heavy setting so you feel like you can get your thumb on the trigger, and it's not going to go off doing so. Then Set the tension, i.e. how fast it goes off with pulling through.

  • @earlofcockwood4757
    @earlofcockwood4757 23 дні тому

    Bro that trigger is dead as fuak. You never „pulled trough“ even once. Try putting the thumb ob the trigger, then extend your back tension and the back muscles and just pull. You have the form, the strength everything. Its all in your head🤘

    Well, you have a pair (2 "Robinhoods") of costly wall decorations for the work cave! (And probably cheaper than taxidermy.) Of course, I have nothing to offer by way of tips. However, thanks for sharing your hobby. I guess your habit of shooting left is like taking a little hop on a dismount. Keeps you humble when you know you do it, but can't avoid it. Maybe it is the equipment. You shall see.

    Very cool, I'd be running around in the background with one of those cylindrical looking backpack things holding my arrows pretending I was dude from lord of the rings. Lol ....unfortunate you lost two arrows but still pretty cool.

    used to compete in olypic style recurve, they make metal pins that go under your nocks so you dont break shafts. can replace the plastic nocks when you robinhood. good shooting!

    Hey man can you share what release you are using ? I love that! Just recently was gifted a bow and it is a hair long for me. long story short the shorter and more compact the releases the better the fit that one looks perfect for what I need.

    Drone down! Drowned. Oh, #$%. Sorry that the technology (low battery life indicator) failed to get it home safely. I suppose after much use and many recharges, the battery capacity goes down, so a "full charge" (and a fractional charge remaining) isn't what it used to be... enough. That was some late evening fishing! Knowing how little light those smarphone cams can caputure images, di dyou have to use the phone's flashlight to navigate back to dock? LOL

    The trigger is already set up like John likes it all you have to do is put your thumb on it and keep pulling back and the shot will surprise you, just got the same release last Friday been practicing since and it takes times to get used to it

    Use a hinge release first, then transition to thumb.

  • @torreyintahoe
    @torreyintahoe Місяць тому

    Not trying to be critical but you really want to learn to develop a surprise release. If you punch the trigger like that it will lead to problems.

    • @Lexidezi225
      @Lexidezi225 Місяць тому

      Not necessarily. If your good with what your doing what’s the point in changing it. Very very successful hunters such as Remi Warren do the same thing. Just practice what your good at and get close enough

    • @torreyintahoe
      @torreyintahoe Місяць тому

      @@Lexidezi225 No. This is universal wisdom. Levi Morgan has said that only the most skilled archers can command the shot with consistency. Remi gave Cam Hanes shit about punching the trigger. Wayne Endicott has given Cam shit about his trigger punching forever. If you are a newer archer then developing a surprise release should be your top priority.

    Get some paracord, put a small loop on one end, cut it to your draw length and use that to practice your pull through, I think it’s a good way to practice.

    Increase the tension on the thumb trigger to the point that you"re feeling the trigger deep against your thumb, helps stop PUNCHING. Good Luck!

    Awesome job. If you can Accomplish Olympics. archers gonna be fun for you. At least you are willing to see your mistakes and learn from them. You can hunt public land, Even though you didn't get picked for any hunts. I will Definitely follow you. Last year was my first year using the thumb release as well.Still kind of struggling with punching the trigger. but practice Makes perfect.

    Have you seen MFJJ on Podium Archery? He talks about release and anchor points. And draw length. It may be the camera angle but it seems short to me. I just wonder if there’s something in that for you to benefit from?

    Try making the trigger release heavier. When I made the switch from index to thumb button, the heavier weight allowed me to get on the button and really pull through on my shots.

    Nice shooting! Love that OD green bow. Is that a prime? I also had to re learn how to release because I was punching it for so long I had horrible target panic. Blank bailing was the best way to get panic free reps in. I watched a lot of John Dudley videos! It wasn’t until a year or so into shooting until I even found out punching a trigger isn’t correct. Had a lot of bad habits to break. You should get it quick!
