If you’re reholstering your firearm all threats have been eliminated or are gone. Why would you not look to reholster? It’s not like your attention should be on active threats or anything else because you won’t be doing it until the situation is over. This is how you ND your striker fired pistol.

I agree. I prefer to carry outside at 3:00. In particular if I carry appendix I will remove the holster stick the gun inside and reattach as one unit. Drawing is much safer than reholstering.

roscoe thicc modified government profile it is terrible choice for weight BA hanson or faxon would clap any 16" barrel weight wise even 16" pencil barrel. Sig long prong flash hider is lighter than surefire/be meyer/JP prong FH.

I think 16” is a great in between length but this does look promising; I’ll have to check it out.

Hello, this is where hand loading comes into play. Your grouping will be much closer rather than the commercial ammo you are using. I too own a 1943 Smith Corona from the Ogdon Arsenal . I love it.

What gas block are you using, do you like it would you change? How is it suppressed/non suppressed

My preferred light setup for an 11.5 -14.5 fighting AR with a red dot/holographic: - Modlite 18350 body (saves a little space and weight, retains rechargeable batteries) - Surefire KE2-DF head (wide flood, warm light, good lumens, decent enough throw for 100+ yard target/weapon ID) - Surefire DS00 tailcap (reduncdancy in the case of wire or switch failure) - Arisaka inline mount at 1:30 (or 45 degree mount from 3:00 upwards depending on handguard) - Unity hotbutton for picatinny at 12:00, mounted in relation to your foregrip in order to a) give room for c-clamp/partial thumb over bore, b) leave enough clearance to not accidentally turn the light on, and c) to not compromise your grip when activating the light. This is the setup I use on my 13.9 criterion/BCM based build. I can reach the pressure switch or the secondary tailcap button with my thumb without having to loosen/change my support hand grip to any considerable degree. For a magnification-based use case AR, i'd suggest a throw head like the Modlite OKW or Cloud Defensive Rein gen 3. But beware that the Cloud lights use their own proprietary accessories. 18650 light bodies become a heavy consideration too, if you have the railspace on a midlength or rifle length build, plus you get longer battery life. As a side note, I chrono'd my 13.9" Criterion core barrel (headspaced BCM bolt) and got ~3,050 FPS averages with IMI 55gr 5.56 FMJ and a Winchester 62gr open tip 5.56 military export training load. That is some *spicy* velocity at 13.9". Also got about 2,800 fps with AAC 69gr OTM's and ~2,750 fps with IMI 77gr razercore. In my mind this makes the arguement for a longer barrel a bit moot as I can have a high quality barrel pinned and welded to 16" that *can* reach out to 400-500 yards at those velocites with similar effectiveness on soft tissue to the vast majority of 16"-18" barrels on the market, while not making home defense/CQB cumbersome due to size.

What did your gunsmith say to use to align your muzzle device?

My 13.7” is built as a lightweight upper. It balances on the front edge of the magwell with a Holosun red dot/3x magnifier, BA lightweight profile (don’t think it’s pencil compared to my dad’s build that has one), SOLGW NOX (3 prong) p&w, Valhalla Tac Baldr ODS 18350 w/ PLH-V2, Magpul STR stock, Aero FA upper, 2A lightweight BCG, FACTR barricade/finger stop & hand stop on a PSA abbreviated picatinny MLok rail, neomag sling keeper, Radion Talon & Raptor, PSA Turkey Day lower w/ Elfmann trigger and a Tier 1 Citizen 2 point bungee sling. My 16” gun is an LWRCi M6IC DI with Surefire compatible Atibal illumination 18650 body & A2 head connected to a dual tail cap & pressure pad, Atibal 1-10x30 FFP, SOLGW NOX9, MBUIS LWRCi furniture and Ferro Concepts Slingster sling. Because LWRCi is based in Maryland they have to use a heavy profile barrel so that 2.7” difference is really drastic between the two profiles and rails even though the LWRC rail is 13” and my LW PSA is 14.5”. I am thinking that I am going to replace my Aero upper with my non FA SanTan LW set and build that out so I can put my Turkey 🦃lower back under my 16” 300BO BCM upper again. Contemplating selling my LWRCi, but it hold some sentimental value as it was a birthday present from Dad in 2018 and what started me down this 🐇 🕳 of pew pew 2A. Mahalo for reading my Ted Talk
