Thank You.Osu from Poland.
OSU Shihan! Thank you for this excelent lesson. I have a question regarding the wrist on the shoulder level. Does it apply also to soto uke and uchi uke, or only to morote uchi uke, when you go into sanchin dachi? OSU!
Yes. It also applies to uchi uke and soto uke.
@@CameronQuinnKyokushinKarate OSU Shihan. Thank you so much.
OSU SHIHAN Cameron great advice on blocking leg kicks today thanks for sharing as usual OSU
Amazing Osu !
Oh great, another wrist lock video with no close-ups so it looks like he falls to his knees from a handshake. Great work, truly amazing.
So which section can't you understand? I'll see if I can help you.
Osu... Thank you...🙏
the thumbnail is literally the aftermath of them kicking my arse with a low kick🤣
Osu sensei, regarding using hand striking techniques in a real fight (not a sporting contest) to counter leg kicks, I remember some years ago you recommending a jab then a spinning backfist. Can you please recommend other hand (or including elbow) striking combinations for those like me who have never learned spinning techniques?
Obviously it would have been better to ask you during the livestream but I'm busy all day Wednesday these days.
@@paulhigginson1880 I’ll do a video. 👍🙏

Dear Sensei, thanks very much for your simple and effective advices! I’m a Uechi Ryu practitioner since 1985 when I was a child. Great respect for Kyokushinkai, we both share very high levels of body conditioning. Oss…

Osu, Shihan, dear Cameron, all well here in the Netherlands. Summer- and holliday time. But we are healthy and staying in shape. I'm enjoying your online teachings. Unfortunately not often life. Now that I'm close to retirement I'll have more time to check in when you guys are life. Keep up the good work, greetings alsof to mrs. Q from the Netherlands. Osu Arend
thankyou
Every real instructor I ever met, trained with, or heard speak have had the same notion: karate is about doing karate not talking karate.
Uechi Ryu has a turn!!
'first thing that happens is Mitch lands on his elbow which hurts like crazy' ... I had to laugh because just the other night before training I had been practicing some drills incorporating gentle takedowns on our wooden floor at the dojo and elbow took a good knock ... next training night I took the time to load up the car and take the mats haha. Great work Shihan and Sensei thank you
I think it's sometimes good to feel how hard the body comes down on a hard floor. Mats are deceptive. Most injuries, in my experience, are caused by gravity.
Osu shihan this is excellent thank you very very much your knowledge has helped answer some burning questions I have had about my own martial practice and helped to enrich the teaching in our dojo
As an okinawan style karateka that went on to attain a bjj black belt, I can attest there are several takedowns I learned in karate that I still utilize to this day. One of them was very similar to the over under tie sacrifice throw shown first here with a slight variation by emphasis of checking the inside shin of the stacked leg as one drops to help facilitate the rollover. Moves seem almost endlessly variable to me at this point, so not better or worse just different and more similar than different is my emphasis. The proper karate reverse punch is still on my personal a-list in terms of go-to self defense techniques. Oss! Good show friends!💪🥋
Traditional Okinawan karate principles + BJJ = a really nice combination!
Osu Shihan, very useful and powerful stuff!.. I myself left or currently taking a break from Kyokushin few years ago because I knew I was missing something, and it was the techniques that are restricted in Kyokushin like holds grabs, takedowns, ground work, punches, elbows to the head and on the other hand its all very useful. Don't get me wrong I love Kyokushin Karate but had to find the missing components, so went over to Soeno 's Shidokan and filling in the blanks😅, love your channel, great job!, very educational, I'm glad you can show people much more then Kyokushin itself!..I remember you from one of the summer camps Shihan Samitowski invited You over to back in late 90's, and back then beeing a beginner I already knew there is much more to it, because you showed us those things!, big Thanks for that!, keep up the great work with the channel, looking forward to the next vid...Osu!..
Useful kmowledge… as always ❤
Kyokushin number 1 karate style 😍

Hi Shihan, Was great training with you in Barry, Wales. Shihan Terry and myself couldn’t stop talking about your session on our way back to Cardiff. Love the T shirts are they for sale? Hope to train with you again in the future love your sessions and great to hear your memories of Honbu and Sosai. Best wishes Shihan Andrew Osu
Ah I missed your live! Welcome back Shihan and Sensei. Have you heard/thoughts on Ryukyu Kingdom Bujutsu or Shorin Ryu Shidokan in Melbourne? They both do continuous full contact fighting, or say they do. Have you had any experience? Thanks!
Beautiful! Thank you!
Thank you Shihan for the knowledge provided and I am looking forward to your next visit to Szczecin and we invite you for another trip to Warsaw 🌸❤️🥋
Knowledge on the move . Osu
Was great sessions in Poland.
I’m always scared of punching a hard surface with a rough surface once I was punching a brick wall so I caused the skin of my knuckles to bleed. Not a pleasant feeling at all and I need not describe it. It did take time for the skin of my knuckles to heal but it caused me to refrain from doing any brick wall punching for the next few weeks.
Hi shihaan would you sat goju ryu is a much softer style compared to kyokushin?
I learnt wristlocks from Aikido before I got into karate and muay thai.
For a man of your age you have very good mobility Shihan. I'm 26 and I don't think I can move that well.😂 Osu!💪🏻
Great video again. Totaly agree with what you point out here. Thanks, Arend
thank you very much sensei for your teaching
Pure fire!!!
Thank you so much, Shihan, for explaining and demonstrating. I am learning so much, Osu!
Osu, thank you for this video. Looking forward to catching up on the others. Safe travels to Europe and home again. Osu. Jason Hoad 🙏🏻🥋🇦🇺
Osu Jason. Cheers. :)
Hi Shihan. Bruce Anthony WA.😂
Osu Sensei Bruce. 🙏 I am very happy to see your message. You remain one of my inspirations!
Ossu Shihan. How do you train that quick left gedan mawashi? You snap it very fast! Unfortunately I can never catch these live to ask a question.
Another great video!
Osu, just missed you today
I think if you start to interpret the kata's on how they are used people will subscribe. You have lots of fighting experience that you could interpret the forms for self defense. Thanks for the video.
There are a lot of those interpretation type videos on this channel.
