Awesome! 😎
What suspensión you got in it with 35s ?
Hi , it has ome leafs , and random shocks to get full articulation
Hello. I'm in the process of planning a refresh on the same truck except mine is in a lot worst shape then yours. Anyways I'm wondering what are those body lift jacks called (3:04)? Perhaps you can send me a link to where you purchased them. Ty.
Hi , im glad your putting in the effort to get another middy healthy again , it will be worth it in the end , I still smile like a idiot driving mine years after . The jacks in the photo are modified Ebay caravan leveling jacks, I initially modified them to suite lifting toolboxes off my Ute ( added height to bottom section and castors to let it roll , and decent square tube to carry load with gussets ) also made some mounts to catch the factory fuel tank bolting position at back and front I think some holes where the gaurds bolted too . Unfortunately with out a car lift you have to get crafty like me , it can be done . Just search caravan jacks in ebay and I think they are around $200 for 4
Nice rig mate. What size wheels are you running?
Cheers mate , 35x12.5 dick cepek muddies on 15x10 -34
Well Done !! from Texas
Thank you , still makes me smile everytime I see it and drive it .
They wouldn't understand because they are stupid, that is mint
Love the cruiser mate, what lift and tire size are you running?
Cheers mate , lift is ,ome Dakar leafs , random shocks to get full travel . Tyres are 35x12.5r15 on some 15x10 -34 steelies . Highly recommend fitting lightest tyres possible as these old cruisers struggle with heavy rubber . I run dick cepek mud terrain .
What a rippa mate , 👍
Cheers mate 👍 , still love it !
Hi! This thing looks unreal, great job! Any chance you know where I'm likely to find a BJ74 in Australia? Cheers.
Hi , cheers . I got very lucky and got mine from a very good friend that didn't use it . They are getting hard to find and getting pricey . Best chance is to join some landcruiser Facebook groups (BJ74 group and mid wheel base landcruiser group) As they are often advertised on there .
Hello from Japan! I want my Land Cruiser BJ74 to be refreshed too! It may be strange because I made a sentence with Google ランクルBJ74大好き❤
Hello , the sentence came out fine . It is very satisfying getting a older vechicle reliable and back on the road . Real pleasure to drive compared to new cars . Thank you for watching ! And thank you to Japan for making my favourite vechicles !
Did you find a new windshield frame?
Yes , at first I bought a fibreglass copy , but the fitment was so bad I sent it back . Then I got lucky and found a genuine toyota steel one 👍
Looks real good!!!
Top movie, mate looks like you have the shortie dialled in
Cheers mate 👍 yeah she's dialed , wouldn't change a thing
Awesome stuff, looks like great fun!!
So your coming on next trip?😋
Well done mate.
you made it all possible , im just the only one with time to edit it haha .
Nice
gotta get the 60 up n wheelin with ya moose! HAHA
Hopefully next trip mate 👍
Thanks for the share. Great job done here
great work!
what motors in it mate?
It has the factory toyota 13BT
I am just restore my 70 series, and I am hestitate to go in the mud. Just for dry mild offroad and go to the mall😄
I dont like deep mud as well , but sometimes theres no choice to go around . This is why i didnt restore the paint becuase off road its only a matter of time before scratches happen .
@@krissfpv4079 yup, its classic car, become sought after nowadays, more over its bj74, the highest class of landcruiser in its time
Nice rig mate would love to buy it
Mate looks great!!!! A lot of hard work paid off, awesome stuff
Cheers mate , yeah it was lots of work and im still tinkering 😄 . Much more enjoyable to drive compared to hilux
Nice project 👍
Cheers mate
Looks great Mate +Sub 48 / Like 3 greetings I am glad to see you
it it normal that the idle is just under the 1000 mark ?
Not sure if its is normal , but it sure is annoying . I gave up on the new hilux , use it to travel to work only . I bought a old landcruiser and it drives like a 4x4 should .
As I know (as an 2017 owner) you only can lock the rear diff in 4L mode, so this mode disables the traction control by itself. So it practically means when you lock the rear diff a-trac is not active. You only can use it in 4H. We can question that a big "WHY" ??? My opinion, to protect the drivetrain. In 4L engine is delivering enormous torque to the wheels and brake power might not come enough the slipping wheel.
42:16 OMFG
Those powerloops over the foot bridge had me puckered
Adrenaline pumping during that flight . amazing place .
Just magic mate. It’s my favourite vid of yours by far. Some cracking flying too. What wattage are pumping out of that VTX for those longer ranger flights?
Cheers mate , the 800mw vtx was set to the legal 25mw ofcourse 😋 . Its all in the anntennas and being line of sight (no trees or mountains in the way)
Oh hahaha yes of course! Me too
Your long range cruising has gotten so sick mate. It’s looking unreal
Bloody awesome trip mate. Can't wait till we do it all again.
Awesome mate. ND8 looks the goods for a sunny day
Thanks mate , yeah the ND8 will be coming next trip for sure .
so this hilux ATRAC system only active for front wheels?
When on jack stands it seems so . with the diff lock off i could hold one rear wheel and it would not lock the other . Other manufacturers allow atrac to work up front while rear is locked , not sure why toyota doesn't
my 4runner has ATRAC on all 4's but it doesn't have rear lock though. So i am assuming Toyota doesn't like to give all goodies together , it is either one or another
Nice work as always capturing some of the highlights of the trip.. Love watching them to remind myself just how beautiful our country is!! 😍
Definitely cant take all the credit , it was footage from everyone . I just slapped it all together 😋
Oh the memories, what a fantastic trip with a great bunch of people Awesome work on the vid ! Some great footage
Everything about this was awesome. And I can’t believe how good your flying has gotten. 4WDing and FPV, what a tops combo 👌🏻
thank you for the kind words! i really enjoy the combo of 4wd and fpv , i wait all year for the 2 trips we generally do . The next trip im editing is from this years Melb cup weekend , best one so far i think , covering from the mitta mitta valley to mt pinnibar , Tom Groggin station and finally to snowy river Mckillops bridge . Lots of 4wd action and plenty of flying .
Kris S FPV oh shit yes. I’ll be looking forward to that one. If you can be arsed doing it, you should just a quick track list in the description. The bit where you came up to the flat bit where the four roads meet looked like west buffalo track at the helipad above the gatta
@@Troffy21 will do , hopefully ill get it done soon so i can actually remember which tracks we did .
Very cool - thanks.
Love it mate. Have you got a breakdown of your build handy? I'm half way through building my first one...
thanks mate , i just put it in the description .
Thanks mate. That’s some quality stuff! Can’t wait till November so we can get back into the ANP
5:58 Hahahahaha!!! Love all of it mate, including the music. Your rolls and flips are so smooth now.
Cheers mate ! Had a lot fun recording it
Great work , loved the music , loved the tracks you did , liked the drone but was over used in most cases . keep them coming , excellent stuff .
Luke Dempsey . Thank you !
I have added another video if you would like to check it out . A bit less drone flying... ua-cam.com/video/31Q32vqmXNI/v-deo.html
That was the best video I've seen on the high country and I've watched heaps. Well done.
Nice drone piloting there
thanks mate . considering how scared i was of crashing , it came out fairly smooth haha
Stunning views! The ridge line from 10:00 can someone please tell me exactly where it is in High Country? as we'll be checking out this area in the next couple of days.
quanroll . that was the blue rag range track .
Kris S FPV Thanks very much. Unfortunately it requires low range 4WD according to Hema maps and we’re only in an AWD Volvo XC90. I might leave the car and head in there on my motorbike, though. Thanks.
I've seen Volvos going up Collingwood Spur track some years ago. Blue Rag track shouldn't trouble the XC90, since these days the track has been graded and flattened. Still steep, though, on the last pinch to the top.
nice spot! and some crazy manouvers man!
Thanks mate . Yeah its a great spot considering how close to home .
Insanely good. I could not stop watching this
Thanks mate ! , glad you enjoyed.
