Iv put this channel together to document my recovery from autoimmune rhumatoid arthritis. After 2 years of searching for a 'cure' I finally realised that stress was playing a huge role in the aggressiveness of my disease activity. Against all odds Iv been in remission for 12 months without meds 'simply' by changing my entire outlook on life & accepting it for what it really is, 2 years of extremely limited activity has left me with some serious muscle wastage & i have a new found appreciation of the simple things in life like fishing, cooking & just doing everyday tasks which I truely believed I may never do again. Please subscribe if you would like to follow me on my journey of self healing. Tight lines & happy healing!

Iv been singing this since going out out! For the first time in 15 years, although a great night with friends my early morning walk home reminded me yet again of the reality of life for those without a place to call home & how easily any one of the paths I chose myself in the past could have led me into the same situation.

Vc possui o manual dele?
I’ve got this but it’s a mariner..exactly the same.
wor'a.....................for your dor'a
What's the mix on this please
50-1 ratio, 100ml of oil to 5ltr of fuel.
You got a nice price
I have one of these. Looks pretty good for its age,but its stone dead. Does not smell fuel at all, even if i pull the cord for an hour. Makes me think that fuel thingy you pulled off is the cause.
Hello Colin, nice video - I got the same engine - desperately searching some documentation. Do you have by chance a manual or something like I could purchase? Thanx and good luck with the engine Marc
Unfortunately I don't have a manual
There's this: gjoel-marinecenter.dk/wp-content/uploads/2022/01/3.5A-624-1979-og-frem.pdf
Ha i've got one of those little trollys, what a great idea, i'm going to try it on my 2.3 when i get it in a couple of days time .
still waiting for the answer. I have one of these engines. Also want to know what that rubber bulb is under the carb? Is it for priming the carb? Mine is split.
I didn't get any further with the wire but am pretty certain it's a voltage supply, what voltage I don't know. The thing that looks like a primer bulb is actually made of hard plastic servers as a fuel filter to trap dirt & particles, I replace mine with a standard inline fuel filter in another video. Hope this helps
Yes, that's what it does. You press it and once you get a drip, then you've got fuel.
😳 𝕡𝐫o𝕄o𝔰𝓶
Did you ever get arround to fixing this or not? Because I have the exact same engine and I think that work arround with the fuel has been done on mine
Iv managed to repair the original fuel trap, I would say it needs this fuel Reservoir just prior to the carb to allow enough fuel to be delivered at high revs, a larger inline fuel filter would work but there's little room for one under the cowling. Hope this helps.
Nicht mal eine neue Zylinderkopfdichtung verbaut. Und vorher auch noch schön den Schmirgelabrieb in den Brennraum fallen lassen. Hier nennt man sowas Pfusch!
I’m struggling with the pull cord mechanism in mine does anyone have a diagram as to how it all fits together?
www.marineengine.com/parts/mariner-outboard-parts/35/64223740-and-below-m/recoil-starter
It's on there I believe
Also another question if the exhaust is not being cooled what will happen and how do I know if it isn’t an do you by any chance now or it is with an impeller by now
Iv run mine out of water & got it pretty hot without any problems, all that's likely is what u have seen with the grease leaking out of the upper leg, there's no impeller to worry about either, limit dry running to just a couple of minutes to be safe.
Hi i have a question I’m reviving one of these engines after sitting for about 30 years now it runs great but I’ve noticed there’s a little bit of oil leaking above the lower gear unit where there is a little hole this oil is not from the gearbox I think because the gearbox has a different color of oil and the oil that’s leaking out is black oil now it seems to have stoped since the last couple of times since I tested out the engine so I think maybe it was some old oil that was still inside of the tail but I’m not sure so maybe you know what it is?
Hi, other than the gearbox there isn't any other oil in these so I can only presume its probably grease? There's a grease nipple in the rotational part of the upper leg which holds grease. A couple of reasons why u could have liquefied grease is either the wrong type was used & is far too thin or the leg/exhaust got excessively hot & the grease reached its melting point. Not sure if I covered it in this video but although these are air cooled it's recommended to run them in a bucket as this helps cool the leg/exhaust. Hope this helps
Thanks
Killer! Thanks mate.
it,s very nice
Some good finds enjoyed
hello I have the same engine as you I would like to know if there is oil in the shaft or not if yes or do you have to fill the shaft? thank you
Hi the only oil in it is gear oil in the lower gear unit, the one where the prop is, should be 2 nuts top & bottom, fill from bottom until oil comes out of top hole, fill with SAE80/90 GEAR OIL, hope this helps
Thank you very much
Also be aware that although the engine air cooled it is best not to run it too long out of a bucket as the lower leg/exhaust is cooled by being in water
Sorry mate I didn't get a notification for this! I'm good cheers, had me whining for o few days but im a tough cookie lol. Hope u get some answers & treatment. I went through similar with my illness a few years back, something was going on but finding exactly what it was is another story although I had very little testing looking for potential infections but that's what I believed it likely was.
Nice one Eddie! Looking good! Sorry to hear you've got the bloody Covid - I've managed to stay home and avoid that so far, but had to go for blood tests last week, and apparently I have a "low level Blood infection" and they don't know what it is. More tests this morning. Hope all good with you & yours, Merry Christmas, stay safe & well! 👍👍
Great video. I subscride. Greetings from Belgium
Good to see ya Eddie! Hope you and yours are all good. Jeez - Monty's grown and is looking handsome! Stay safe & well. 👍👍.
I'm good thanks mate, how's u? Yea she's weighing in at 850g now which is in the middle of the expected weight (between 600g - 1200g). Its looking possible she might be a he lol
What spark plug are they meant to run just got mine want make sure everything is correct also going to change the fuel pipe too, mine is also leaking
Ngk B6HS is what I'm running in it
Put a light on
Hi..do u want to sell this engine
I hadn't planned on selling but it depends on how much its worth, it's a long shaft & I ideally need a short shaft of the same hp.
Hi..do u still hv this engine
Hi, yes I do
Why are you sanding the fucking head you will get everything uneven then it will leak stupid
Wow Amazing idea!!! I will try this!!!!
Haha! Classic track Eddie - I guess the streets of Colchester would be a lot quicker to cover than London! Hope you and the Fam are well - how's Monty? Saty safe mate. 👍👍
Yea we're good thanks mate, montys good, just thinking about building her a bigger enclosure in an alcove we have, she's happy in the smaller one as a happy python spends most of its time tucked away but the missis been going on about a Chinese water dragon so may build 2 vivs stacked on top of each other, iv set up one of my tropical tanks again since being in remission from the athritis so might incorporate that too.
@@colinedwards931 Nice one Eddie! Chinese Water Dragon sounds interesting, but 2 Dragons in the house? 😂😂😂😂
3, I got a daughter too 🤣🤣🤣
@@colinedwards931 Ooops! 😂😂
Clever Idea
Thanks, it does the job on hard ground.
Hahahaha! Glad to see you looking well! Time for some fishing? We had an annoying neighbour who used to get drunk and light fires in his back garden. He was often out there until 4am playing bloody Elvis at a ridiculous volume and shouting abuse at his wife. He's still there but the Police & the council have managed to shut him up! For that, and other reasons, I can't stand Pelvis! Stay safe & well Eddie! 👍👍
😂 Sorry mate, gave u flash backs did it. Yea hopefully gonna take a visit to Clacton pier soon, havnt been on it for many years, had the driveshaft on my motor go so been playing mechanics for the last few weeks lol
@@colinedwards931 Motor? Car I guess you mean. Hope you have fixed it OK. Took mine for MOT in January - it had only done 740 miles in 12 months because of Covid lockdown! Went straight through - not bad for 16 years old!
Yea I got a little polo I toodle about in, can't get fishing gear in the wife's car, silly little Peugeot convertible lol. Is that your Cherokee your talking about? My mates ones got some starting problems & been messing with that recently too.
@@colinedwards931 Yep, on my 3rd Jeep now - 2004 Grand Cherokee 4.0l. Love it. It's the one in my profile pic. Was looking for a diesel one but everyone that buys a new diesel buys it for the economy and they are much higher mileage. Which model is your mates?
Same year as yours but diesel, I don't normally mess with diesels but thought I'd take a look as he's a mate, came to the conclusion it was something electrical & needed some diagnostics, defeated to say the least. Give me a petrol engine for home mechanics any day but that was another ball game lol
Water pump???
Yes it Needs new impeller and impeller housing, was thinking of putting an electronic pump instead maybe.
Great boat
Looking good Eddie! How long could Monty grow to? Hope all is good with you & yours - getting close to fishing time! Stay safe & well. 👍👍
Hi mate, they're a relatively short snake at around 4 to 5 ft fully grown. Yea we good thanks, looking forward to some beach fishing & hopefully get out on a proper boat this year.
bonjour je cherche un carburateur pour ce modele ,le miens ,l axe du flotteur a cassé ,je n arrive pas a en trouver ,un bonjour de la france
Great !!! But how you take boat from the water ?
It's possible to get the trolly in place when boat is floating then pull it up the slip /ramp. I remove engine first though
Where did you get that foldable dolley?
Good info, just got a Yamaha 5hp air cooled, P95A think it is 1969,70 Its a lockdown project, your 3.5 hp looks about the same in a lot of ways, then I was told this was so by a person that has a lot of spares for the 3.5 I have ordered the plastic sediment bowl ,that you are replacing, coming from Holland via a motor bike spares outlet ,
Thanks, yes I just put a fuel line in between the tank & carb & it ran fine in the bucket, I did notice when testing it on the boat that it seems to starve of fuel under high load, probably due to not having the sediment bowl in place.
Where did you order it from
Brother, May I know wheel diameter of the dolly you used ?
I would say they are around 5"
@@colinedwards931 Thanks brother.
Well the idea seems to be working quite well Eddie! Loving the 'Covid technician' white suit - I'm guessing the Mrs got fed up with you coming in covered in sawdust! I see what you have done there using the screws of the workmate as a travelling end steady, but it was a bit worrying seeing it rise up out of line when pressure was applied. I get that it keeps you occupied and out of mischief, but I'd sooner be fishing! Stay safe & well! 👍👍
Yea it definitely does what I expected it too but also has its limitations! As far as safety goes I'm a bit of a health & safety freak so always got an extra eye on the potential risks. I tested it with a seriously off set piece poorly fixed, switched it on & stepped back! When the piece flew off its path of travel was forward & down into the front rail & all other peices iv lost have gone the same path so I'm reasonably confident I'm out of harms way unless the whole thing explodes lol, my biggest risk is cheap drill bits for sure but I'm reluctant to invest any real money on whats potentially a 5 minute fad lol
@@colinedwards931 I agree. Always keen to do things on the cheap where safely possible! Got a bargain with a new reel recently but it had crap 15Lb line on it, so had to strip it. No empty spools here, so used the centre tube of a roll of kitchen foil (cut to 4") with thick cardboard circles on the ends, and a bit of 10mm dowel through the centre with enough on the end to put in cordless drill! Worked a treat! Whilst chatting, the guys on my fishing forum are trying to promote a petition to stop the supertrawlers - a signature and some support from anyone you know would be appreciated. 👍👍 petition.parliament.uk/petitions/550730
Looking good Eddie - I liked the little pot at the end! 👍👍 Happy New Year to you & Yours - Lets hope for good times & better times for 2021. Stay safe & well. 👍😁
Thanks mate, it's definitely helping keep me sane lol, happy new year to you too.
I was wondering what the ultimate objective was Eddie, but you told us at the end of the video! Your lathe invention seems to be working OK anyway! Have you got a small angle grinder? I bought one of these many years ago at a power tool show. It wasn't cheap but has proved useful. ua-cam.com/video/JZX3iNySKnU/v-deo.html + ua-cam.com/video/VvnIDdXn5Mc/v-deo.html I glued four bits of 1" plank roughly cut into circles together and put a length of threaded bar through the centre to mount them in a big old pillar drill. I needed to make a fairly accurate 4" diameter 4" long wooden roller. I made a jig to hold the grinder with the Arbortech blade, and gradually advanced it towards the pillar drill and moved the drill chuck up & down until I had a perfect circle! Wish I could loads photos here - I could show you what I mean! There are quite a few cheap carving discs for woodwork on eBay like this one: www.ebay.co.uk/itm/100mm-Angle-Grinder-Shaping-Saw-Blade-Multitool-Wood-Carving-Disc-Cutting-Tool/254743685091?hash=item3b4fe827e3:g:bZEAAOSww-lfcv5m Just thinking it might help you rough your square stock down to round before using a chisel for the fine detail! Merry Christmas to you & yours from SW UK - stay safe & well. Dave.
Amazing video and channel. Wish you all the best my friend
Thanks friend, I'll sub u if u sub me 😉
Haha! I never know what you are going to get up to next! That looks like your lounge? - your Mrs will kill ya! Seriously, you need to make a rest for that chisel - better accuracy & safety. Are you going into business making minature Staircases? !! 😂😂
😂 Noo its one of my man sheds. U know how it is, we watch these things on UA-cam & get crazy ideas lol. I'll either add a rail to this or probably just buy a lathe, no particular project in mind just think every man needs the ability to turn square wood round 😂
great action footage well done! +1 sub from me. I have a new fishing vlog out myself hope you can check it out
Cheers & welcome, I'll check it out & send a sub your way.
Can I suggest a pointed shovel?👍👍
Definitely! We stumbled across the site while out walking, will definitely be going back soon with some digging equipment. 👍
@@colinedwards931 yeah dig downwards and you’ll get the older stuff, there seems plenty there- good luck!
Monty's looking good Eddie! 👍👍 Hope you & yours are well. Stay safe mate.
All good thanks mate, keeping the mind motivated where possible lol. hope all's well.
