First drone video! Warning it is awful. Too windy and video is choppy due to lack of knowledge on what buttons to push. I didn't bother to add music or comment to this one since it is so bad. Better video's to come.

Fished as a dry fly?
I fish it as a wet fly most of the time. However due to the wings being hollow, it sits on the top at first and eventually slips just under the surface. If you want to fish it as a wet fly, then use the end pieces for the wings instead of the hollow barbs and it will sink further.
Do you think the trout are moving up into the brooks yet ?
I have not seen any fresh run fish in the rivers or brooks yet. In fact I have been fly fishing in the Bras d'or lakes several times and still not got a bite. The algae has just started to grow as the water warms up so I expect that to be the start of pulling the fresh run in to feed before running up the rivers.
Was tge first fish a brown or young salmon...,?? Looked like a brown,,,I fished that hole afew times myself green machine was the fly....tge specks seemed to like it...alot...no tics. :( can t catch what's not there though....first trip was end if june....last time mid Sept..only caught afew speckled trout...nice ones. All released...nice real video..

Not bad for a first try with the drone. How about heading up the coast a bit and getting a close-up of our cottage. It's all by itself on the shoreline just south of the mouth of Indian Brook.
Hi Bruce, I will be getting a lot of footage in this area. Problem has been the wind lately. I just used it today to survey my property. It is the first time I had a look at what is behind the Trans Canada Hwy. Pretty drab after the winter but will play with it a lot more later spring, summer and fall.
