Hi Make sure that you carry only new dollars with you because in many Malaysian cities such as Langkawi and in some areas in Kuala Lumpur , they do not accept old dollars or even if they do the conversion rates are very bad In addition to it make sure to download Grab app from here only, for easy affordable cab rides You’d find many Indian restaurants serving pure vegetarian and even jain food in Kuala Lumpur just behind the KL tower Hope this helps..

Sure, we hired a cab which took us all the places and the cab stayed with us for the entire time. You can also rent a car for self driving, a lot of people do that as well. Roads are in good condition so self driving is not an issue

Yes we did a day trip from KL to Malacca. It’ll take maximum 3-4 hours to cover all the famous tourist attractions there. There is a bus every hour between Kuala Lumpur and Malacca, and it's very easy to get a return ticket from the Malacca bus station.

@@Architakala Thanks a ton After reaching Melaka Sentral, Do we take a local bus to reach the city centre? Also, How do we travel between different places like Red House Area, Melaka River and Jonker street? Are they are at a walkable distance or is Grab needed?

Many places are at walking distance so you can walk. Also, yu can take grab cab for going to places little far away

All these places are located in the main red square area also known as the Dutch square, so these places are literally less than 5 mins of walking distance

Hello, we booked a full time cab for us to Shahdag and Gabala which took us to all the places on the way as well. The driver stayed with us, but we didn't had to pay anything extra like toll, parking or driver allowance apart from the pre decided amount. Hope this helps. Yes Melacca is just 2 hours away from Kuala Lumpur, you can easily do a day trip to melacca just the way we did

You can directly go to the bus terminal and book the ticket from there. No need to prebook

We had a forex card with me when we went to Malaysia and we also took US dollars which we converted in city to MYR to keep some cash handy

We had booked the awana skycab tickets before going to Malaysia from Klook and then once we reached the Genting highlands we purchased the tickets for the outer theme park from there only, it was around 8000rs for 2 people

Also, when you book a car, ask him to the cost to be all inclusive. Our cost included driver allowance, fuel, parking, night charges and toll, so we didn't have to pay anything extra at any point of time, except for a permit of INR 600 to visit Kanyakumari

We would recommend going to Shahdag, because of the mountain roller coaster and other activities at the Shahdag tourism center. December end is like a perfect time because you would find an abundance of snow there. Also, we have made dedicated videos on both Gabala and Shahdag so you can compare both the places. So there’s a street called as Lebuh Ampang just behind the KL tower, you can find many Indian restaurants there, some of them serving only vegetarian food. Here’s a list of some restaurants where we ate Sangeetha restaurant Sarvanaa bhawan Pappadum Spice garden Hope this helps..

More than the temperature, it's the windy weather which would make you feel more cold. We used a single pullover or jacket and that was sufficient. We went in the first week, so the second week would be colder but the temperature would not fall below 0. You can travel with kids at that time with proper clothing and winter wear and comfortable shoes
