Fraggle Rock Let Me Be Your Song .flv
This one and the original with Julie Andrews are my favorite versions.
I’m doing this for my school musical and came here because I have to learn it, so what better way to learn my roles then watch the original
I thought I recognized the first girl singing the Prince is giving a Ball. She was in the Movie Bye Bye Birdie as Ursula.
It is hard to think that this is the same actress from Victor/Victoria. She played the girlfriend to the mobster, James Gardner.
My favorite version of Cinderella to this day!
I felt and still feel this way when I met my husband. And someday I may never come down to earth again. He’s a pilot and took me flying on our first date.
My sister and I loved watching this every year on tv but, in the years since (the 1960's) we couldn't find it for sale. Finally, about 4-5 years ago, we found 5 dvds and we snapped them up for ourselves and our daughters. We even had to order another one for my sister's DIL who also wanted one. Now we're all happy!
Leslie Ann is a straight up knockout ❤❤❤wooooooo Johnny From Alabama
Yes she was simply stunning , whether in soot or finery her beauty shined through.
My Daughter Trista loves this movie
She has excellent taste. FYI Its on Tubi.
I remember the night this originally aired on TV and Cinderella has always been my favorite fairy tale I was glued to the TV. This was the best version by far.
This musical was first staged on CBS Television in 1957, starring none other than Julie Andrews in the tiitle role.
Thank God the prince 's coat comes over his tights, not all interested in you know what i mean 😊 not like this with women its always her hormones tell her who is interesting behind a polite pleasantness in meeting somebody i mean males, a fact totally ignored by male world if they think they like somebody she has to reciprocate also, females on other hand always are going to be pleasant to all but beyond that very selective
I was a 5 yo boy in 1965. A magical year. I remember laughing at the step sisters. What a magical time during my childhood.
Every year in the spring television would show this movie...I love ❤️ this movie from all renditions of Cinderella.....I even learned to Waltz in case my Prince 🤴 ❤️ ever came to dance.....🥰😇
Rogers and Hammerstein were geniuses.
I watch this on CBS when it came out in 1966
I'm 64 years old and this is what we watched when we were children. I never missed this when it came on each year. No vulgarity, no race crap, no politics. Just good wholesome entertainment with class.
I thought Stuart Damon was the handsomest man I had ever seen. He will always be the epitome of Prince Charming.
I'm 65 years old and I know every word of this song by heart!! I really Love this Movie :)
gosh, I do believe that Jo Van Fleet (the mother) and I are long lost twins. I use the "who on earth is she????" line every chance I get!!! Oh, I waited my whole life for a guy who looked and sounded like Stuart Damon....never happened! lol
Grew up in the 60's and my sister and I waited every year when this would be broadcast. Still remember all the words to this day!
me and my camp are doing a cinderella play
Extrañando a Stuart Damon !😢
Ursula the Sea Witch and John William’s first wife.
Barbara Ruick was also in Carousel with Shirley Jones. 😊
No matter how many different versions of Cinderellas they make, this one will always be the very best!
I love this when I was like 10 years old and I’m 65
Still gives me chills. I was a 5 yr old girls sitting entranced in front of the tv. It was that night I fell in love with musicals, and Stuart Damon :)
You do realize this 1965 version is different than 1997you really can’t compare them different era
This is one of My favorite childhood shows…the dress is so beautiful. And this song brings tears to my eyes.
Definitely one of my favorite versions of this story. I also enjoyed The Slipper and the Rose.
The waltz is the most romantic dance I have ever seen. Stuart dancing with Lesley Ann are the most beautiful couple ever. They are absolutely stunning!!!💕 It's my favorite scene in the whole movie🏰
❤❤ 😊😊🥰🥰🥰😍
I think it’s amazing that Fred Astaire required that his dances be shot in one sequence. They had to dance this until the whole dance was perfect
My favorite of all time. Everyone was perfectly cast. Lesley’s voice was magic and she truly looked like a princess. Stuart was so handsome and my nine year old self at that time had her first crush. So blessed to be a child back then and experience this magic
I was 8 when I watched this the first time. At that time there was no such thing as dvds so we had to wait for it to come out to watch again. I think I sat in front of the television and dreamt I was her. Of course I’m all grown up now and this is still and forever will be my very favorite Cinderella of ALL time. I sing along. I love it.
I’m 64. I always tell my family, back when we had no way of recording movies, my parents and grandparents would work our schedules to see Cinderella. It was an event. This is by far the best version of Cinderella.
All us cousins who lived close to each other would get together and see Cinderella in one house. Our favorite movie!! ❤
Cinderella, The Wizard of Oz, White Christmas and the Charlie Brown specials, that was life worth living in the 1960s.
62 here ,.... and YES, same for my family. This was event tv back then. so classy and beautiful !
My mom, my grandmother and I did the same. We all looked forward to watching it. My mom would bake cookies that day so we enjoyed hot chocolate and freshly baked chocolate chip cookies while watching it. It was always on in the winter. I think k around Christmas.
I'm 62. I would wait for it every year! It was my favorite show! Nobody would say a word to me so I could watch every second. Now I have it on DVD. I was so happy to get it. I used to sing the songs all the time. 🙂💕
The best version of Cinderella !!!
To be honest the stepsisters can I look more beautiful then Cinerama regardless if she's black or not
My step mom used to have us watch this version every weekend. I’m about to be 39 and this is my favorite Cinderella.
My daughter sang this song in her Junior Miss pageant and did very well placing 3rd (Although I thought she did the best, naturally 😉)!
I agree that this is the Best Cinderella of them all! Bravo!
I still know it by heart. Funny how I find myself randomly singing this song for no reason but it makes me happy. I see so many of us in our 60's are here with the same comments & memories!
@kalikjr yes! 62 here, I loooved this as a kid ( still do) and it brings back such warm memories! Such simple times….sigh.
The brilliance of this scene is in the nuanced acting during the singing AND the pauses between versus. I knew this scene was special even as a child. Even the stepmother character was acted brilliantly. She’s always been my mental picture for an evil stepmother.
There's something special about the entire production. But yes the talent and sheer joy you can see on their eyes at being on stage and in front of a camera loving what they do and giving it their all is something you just don't see very often anymore. A list green to be sure!! Thank you for watching and commenting. I hope you watch the others as well
when I was a kid, of course I didn't know what an ermine was, so I always thought the black ermine tail tips were thorns! makes me laugh to think about it now, but I thought that for many years
Wait those seed looking things on her dress have an actual name? Thank you for letting me know that.
I was just noticing that Stuart Damon wasn't the world's greatest dancer and then he actually danced right into poor Pat Carroll! 0:40 I'd never noticed that before. Makes me love this version even more !!
You know, until you mentioned it I never caught it!!! I guess I was so caught up in the graceful ballroom dancing that I just never saw that.
I was SO EXCITED when this came on TV in the 1960's. When my daughter was small, in the late 1990's I was thrilled to buy this on DVD, She loved it, of course, and watched it repeatedly. It's amusing to look back at the costumes and sets. Now we are used to lavish and realistic production values on TV and film ... but this is a wonderful example of how some paint and simple structures enhance the fairytale quality of the play. It's obvious that it's a play! I think it's easier for the children in the audience to imagine themselves in the story this way, to pretend that their bedrooms are castles, etc. I know I felt that way when I was a girl!
This is my favorite vision of Cinderella no matter what happens Cinderella & the Prince Charming will be getting married
I love this so much more than anything else in this world
What a voice he had! His talents were wasted on General Hospital. I always secretly wished for Alan Quartermaine to break out in song. I don’t think he ever did.
I grew up with this Cinderella, and now I'm old enough to need Unicorn Oil...
I'm just glad they never made a dragon reference, I'm not sure how it have felt about that. LMAO
J’ai oublié combien il était beau! Quelle voix aussi!
