    This is what I love about the Arthurian era. All knights aspired to be the best and highest version of themselves. Being kind, compassionate, generous, respectful, honest, loving towards women, brave, courageous, loyal, courteous and virtuous/moral. All part of Chivalry. Higher Christ Consciousness. This is what all men today should embody.

      Knights routinely acted despicable. The real men of old were savages compared to today. There was only honour when there were eyes to witness it.

      @@purplemenace8819 , I'm pretty sure he's talking about the aspirations, but we human beings tend to go for the things that are the easiest for us and we're naturally morally ambiguous. So those virtues are good virtues to aspire to, instead of what men are supposed to be nowadays (Andrew tate and what the redpill says)

    Generosity. HA. Sir Gawain was right not to show that little punk thief what he had. When he was generous you see how that little punk treated him: "weren't enough", and robbed him and left him for dead! Sir Gawain should've ignored that little prick and rode right past him to begin with(yes I know that little punk is the green knight. ...)

    • @ljbertini713
      @ljbertini713 3 місяці тому

      Ohhh wait the little punk that stole Gawain’s axe is the Green Knight in disguise?? I always thought that some of the characters in the original poem were also the GK in disguise (including the obvious Bertilak of course), as if the GK is with Gawain through the whole journey. This would make a lot of sense for the movie.

      The movie is based off of a medieval text, everything is about metaphor and interpretation

    •  4 місяці тому

      No texto medieval original é citado que o Sir Gawain tinha um pentagrama no escudo e na túnica e eram 5 conjunto cada qual com 5 virtudes (5x5). O quinto conjunto de 5 eram: 1 Generosidade 2 Simpatia (Amizade) 3 Castidade 4 Cortesia 5 Compaixão (Piedade). Da mesma forma que no filme, porém no filme o Sir Gawain nunca teve essas virtudes, ele as aprenderá na jornada.

    Brothers, the ending Dance sequence is a Tribute and Homage to the great Revolutionaries of Freedom struggle. They made it a whole point to sing and dance completely for those great people and nothing cheesy or romantic. Also this was a thankyou from the creative team whom you distinctly praised later on the video, to the audience for sitting through the movie, which is the the movie director and Music director make an appearance on their behalf. Walking out of that sequence would not be disrespectful to the audience, rather the revolutionaries who are being respected and the movie team being respectful. It's like asking will it be disrespectful to audience to leave when the president is hoisting the flag. No, it is disrespectful to the president and the flag. You don't have to give two shits about audience, but you very much need to give a shit to the people conducting the honour and the thing/people being honoured. The final song sequence is the same. It has nothing to do with the plot, and only to do with the freedom struggle. Also the minor ending you see is also the homage paid directly to the Heroes that Bheem and Rams characters are based off of. So yes, the whole sequence including the dance and last bit of movie are all Homages and tribute to the total 10 great men and women of Freedom struggle. (8 in the song, and 2 in movie). And most importantly, the dance and song at the final end credits is unprecedented in Indian cinema. Jai Ho song in Slumdog millionaire was absurd to Indians for same reason. This is totally not a thing for us. SSRajamouli is making history with making an end credits song sequence. Hope I gave you some clarity on this. That aside , I really did like your review! Hope to watch more of your Indian Movie reviews.

So although neither type is bad, the West sees Indian movies are melodramatic and cheesy and Indian feel a lot of american movies and too ironic, bland and look dull.
