I spent time walking all over Cartagena alone. A gringo. I loved it. Sure yea some the water was gross but I feel you exaggerated a little bit. I felt extremely safe. Yea people try to sell you things it's literally the most touristic place in the entire country obviously people are going to be trying to make a buck. Spent a week in Cartagena and I wasn’t a fan. It’s way too hot and the streets vendors are too annoying. I speak Spanish fluently and no matter how many times you tell them no they will follow you. Minute you get out of your hotel they are out there waiting to sell you something. Cholon was cool and the people are nice. Met some cool people and also had some fun. But I would rather be in Medellin
