Is This The BEST Countertop Finish?! | Custom Countertop Build
Hi All!
Here's a quick video on how i apply Rubio Monocoat "Pure" to a custom countertop I'm building. If you have not used this finishing product before, I highly recommend it! (and no, I am not sponsored!)
I've used Rubio Monocoat for multiple builds to include my own countertops and a custom desk with a walnut finish. It holds up well and the reapplication is super easy. Check out my countertop build video to see it in action!: ua-cam.com/video/3qnxv42oCY0/v-deo.html
The price varies but I usually get it on Amazon for around $60.00 for both the monocoat and the accelerator. Even though it's expensive, it's worth it! and a little bit goes a long way!

    Just came across your channel, I like the way you make the flags but I didn't see how you dealt with glue squeeze out, and when you applied the wax did the stain smear?

    • @TrueAmericanCraftsman
      @TrueAmericanCraftsman Рік тому

      Hi! Thanks! Usually, for glue-squeeze out, i just use the tip of a lead pencil (no led) or something pointy and a paper towel to hit the main spots. It doesn’t affect the final outcome, which is nice. As for the wax, as long as the stain is dried fully and there isn’t any excess it works great!

    Enjoyed your info video. What do you sell your standard R,W, & B flags for (19 1/2 X 37) I am thinking of going to gun shows to sell my flags. What are your thoughts on this idea? Thanks

    • @TrueAmericanCraftsman
      @TrueAmericanCraftsman Рік тому

      Seems like a good market! I’d def give it a try. I know some shows vendor space prices are a little high but it could be worth it if you have a good chunk of inventory. Fairs and craft shows I usually drop them a little due to the market i’m working with but usually it’s around $120. Don’t hesitate to do a ‘final day’ sale too, depending on the length of the show! Drop $10-$20 off and they’ll move quick!

    • @stevecosby6006
      @stevecosby6006 Рік тому

      @@TrueAmericanCraftsman Thanks I was thinking $120 or 2 for $200 shows cost around $250 per weekend counting space gas and hotel. My flag cost is $15 each and about 1 1/2 hours each to build and I would take 20 to 30 flags per gun show
