Using my 60" Titan Flail Mower for the first time (part 3 of 3)
When you twist the end of plain wire , simply have a flat bar about 5" long with a couple of different sized holes in the end and rotate ..it leaves it neat and no need for untidy wire ends . Simple with a professional finish.
I love it! I will try that this summer. Thanks for watching!

Question please: Did your Snowblower come with an Operator Manual as well as the User's Manual? My dealer's mechanic ordered and mounted it for me this first time, since I live within a mile of the dealer and it could be driven there. He found my 1 very wet, rained on User's Manual and my brush guard after I had to ask about them. It seems like critical things aren't covered in my users manual, so there must be 2 books?? You'd think it'd at least cover adjusting the skid height etc. New subscriber, I loved my first summer season with my CK2620. I have so many mosquitos, I got the cab. I was a bit sad the dealer's helper let my front bucket fall off crooked and scratched the heck out of the brush guard and some bucket hoses. That's my baby and I paid for a $95 trip to take it off and drive it to the dealer for my snowblower, so I'm excited to carefully learn some DIY, especially proper maintenance. On my own, I know I need to replace some shear bolts occasionally, so you'd think there'd be more literature? Thanks so much!
I called plumbers to replace my leaky main water line, and they used a reciprocating saw with a V shaped spade blade to cut a trench in the rock-hard Las Vegas ground. I can't find that same spade blade anywhere. The ones on Amazon are flat, not V-shaped like a garden spade. He cut a 40' trench in no time. The ground here is so hard that the first time I tried with a shovel it only sank less than an inch. Not kidding. I had to go buy a pick axe to dig a hole. That's why I was amazed at how fast that spade blade cut through. Knowing what I do now, I could have replaced the water line myself and saved $2400, which was much less than other plumber estimates, so always shop around. All the houses in my neighborhood are having the same problem because they all have the "black pipe" water line that was used in 1985.
I do the same thing but instead of using a pitchfork and a sawzall I use a little invention of my own … I call it a shovel …😅
alot of work to change it over. different snowblower with quick attachment be much easier.
I watched this video for the humor…. But you seriously change my mind., when that pitchfork turned the sod over … boy do I look stupid
Next time cut it longer then roll the sod like sod farmers do. Its easier.
Good thought! I will try that next time. Thanks for watching!
This is how i edge my patio and sidewalk.
Thats a great idea! thanks for watching!
Great tips for my project…thanks
I don't know how to get the fence tight
Pump some RV antifreeze through the line for winter and you wont have to worry
2:24.....my beautiful talented wife says that you can tell everything you need to know about someone by how they treat their tools...see the saw toss...what a fucking loser.....bye.
Went and looked at this exact setup today, used 2018 with 600hrs. Cab, snowblower and belly mower.
Nice! I am very happy with mine. Thanks for watching!
Alot of $ for a flimsy gate?!
Im going to look at a used one of this exact set up. 600 hrs unit. Wondering how close to the ground this blower will clean the snow out.
Hi there, I'm having a hard time getting the 9000 see started. Used some carb spray, almost as started few times, I noticed the carbon dioxide yellow light flashed indicating malfunction. Do you know what I can do? Tom
The dog was not impressed.
I grew up an a sheep farm in Michigan. We had ten miles of wire field fence. The post should never ever wobble as it does at 3:00. This post is not set correctly. It is entirely wrong. The t-posts come 9 foot long, and three feet should be pounded into the ground using a post driver. This tool allows someone to *safely* hold the post steady and prevent wobble as it is driven into the ground. It also minimizes wobble on each blow, compared to a sledge hammer.
Why don't you recommend going smaller than 12 gauge wire? I'd like to try using my spare 14 gauge before buying any.
Save my used long blades for roots/ground work. Lenox 9" wood blades are sharp like The UGLY but last longer for half the price.
Good tool. I wonder how affordable the price is for users as it can be replicated in a day or so.
It is a great tool! Thank you for watching!
great video and really helpful I have an 89 and it looks very similar. I'm doing my first oil change on it since getting it. I appreciate the time and effort put into filming a video on older tech that still runs great.
@@kadenhitchcock5265 thanks for watching and glad I could help in small way… good luck and enjoy the machine… it’ll last forever.. 👍👍
Excellent ! THANKS !
there is no reason to pre oil the filter.
@@jimeckenrode1271 thank you for watching.. I agree this is not a necessary step but I have read it in a few maintenance manuals so I included it in my video… I appreciate your feedback! Take care
Great video Bud. You warm up your machine the same way my son does. lol He has an 89 300 fourtrax.
Thanks and thanks for watching! If you ever need to change the starter, I just did a video on that one too... take care!
I like the idea, but going to that depth across a lawn is really easy with a spade or a trenching shovel. So, its a bit like shoot ducks in a barrel. My use case is to run a line below frost depth on a hillside that is wooded, so there will be lots of tree roots and rocks. For cutting roots, the sawzall seems really promising. For dealing with rocks, not so much.
Oh, man! And I've been stabbing at the ground with a pick and shovel like a sucker. I love this method.
How do you clean off the bucket, just hose it off with a forceful spray from a garden hose?
@@CogentConsult thanks for watching! I just scrape it off with a cheap paint scraper and wipe it off on an old piece of cardboard… then I just chuck the cardboard…. 👍😎 take care!!
Thank you for this video, your fence looks great! This gate is exactly what I can install in my garden. Love the idea of the wheel at the bottom of the gate, that's genius and the curve you placed to reduce the tension on the pvc pipe. this can work and will save alot of money too!
Good idea , suggest making a V cut that meets in bottom. Pull continuous Sod out rather than shirt chunks! Works for me!
This is one way, complex complicated. It would have been another way to do is to attack a 2x4 to the stake and clamped, and just use regular large hinges for the door.
I am a 43 year veteran irrigation contractor. You won't do that in upstate South Carolina clay, I can promise you that!
Could you have used some fat washers between the PVC pieces? prob still need some grease though...
Black dog was like safety officer it went for the foreman to come check the job time after time they are really good at they jobs you also dug a good track in the dirt
haha.. He keeps a close eye on me. Thanks for watching!
Just use a blue solo cup. Attach one, then put the tanglefoot on another one slid over the top of the attached one. Discard when filled.
GREAT VIDEO - with a GREAT idea ! THANKS
I had to cut overgrown grass off the edges of a driveway cause it was so thick the line trimmer wouldn’t touch it. I used that same idea to follow the edge of the concrete driveway and it worked like a charm. I did put the blade on my grinder and create more of a knife edge , and that worked better than the offset teeth. Wound up with small blocks of sod to transplant.
It will go faster and better if you lay the fence wire on the ground, use a few cheap Harbor Freight tent stakes to hold the end in place, and roll the fence wire on the ground and cut to length (if necessary) stand the fence up stretch it and run down the line with the wire.
Great idea. Thank you. I have put fly paper on my hat but this is better.
I had to trench for a hose pipe recently and found, if a flat spade is pushed vertically into the ground, (ground can't be too hard) and then forced forward and back, it will produce a V, enough to push hose into. Simply push the hose into the V and tread the sides of the V flat.
8 ft apart?
I only watched a minute and a half to see what blade you used. There's another video somewhere on UA-cam that shows using a "trenching spade" to do a similar job for running wire. Such a spade is flat so it makes a hole straight down, and can be moved side to side to open that hole into a V shape. What I'm thinking is something between these two methods: Use the Sawzall to cut a single cut, then use a spade to move it side to side, avoiding the need to make a second cut or to lift sod. This could be the best of both worlds because the Sawzall could easily cut sod and roots that would be slow to penetrate with a trenching spade. Thanks for the idea.
