Markoy Builds is a Minecraft creative mode build series where I showcase some of the builds that I make.
I am not a hardcore professional Minecrafter, but I use minecraft as a tool to express my creativity, and hopefully make beautiful builds.
I am still learning though, and I experiment a lot with different build techniques and ways to recreate the ideas in my head.
Anyway, I hope you enjoy the content of my channel. If you do, please subscribe, send a like to the videos you think are good and feel free to comment or come.up with suggestions.

Markoy [inbetween] Builds - Episode 6 - The cyberpunk city landfill (and trash processing factory)
This is the sixth episode of my [inbetween] building series, which will feature details or other things that you normally will not see in my big-build series. It'll be a whole lot of talking and I won't be placing a single block during the entire episode.
In this episode we return to the cyberpunk city, were this time I will look at the landfill area i've build in the industrial district, with the waste processing plant right next to it. I am really curious to what you people think of this build, so let me know in the comments.

In this episode we continue on the "The Mansion Gardens" project and today we add the observatory, a cattle pen and a spruce forrest. I love gazing at the stars, so it was time to build an observatory. While doing that i was bugged by Cows, Sheep and chickens, so... I needed to build a cattle pen as well. And while i was at it... I added a spruce forrest. And not just any spruce forrest, but al...

In this episode we continue on the "The Mansion Gardens" project and today we add the flower garden and the Bee-house. I wanted to keep the hills on the terrain as much as possible, so that's why i've decided to make it a flower garden build on terrasses. And as my bees kept going for a swim (and dying because they didn't know how to swim), I constructed a bee-house for them. If you want to sup...

It is time for me to step away from the Cyberpunk city.(At least for a little while). I missed the greenery, the trees and the bushes so much, and my on and off visits to the hanging gardens of Babylon where not enough for me any longer. I needed a larger scale gardening project. I really love your style of building cyberpunk city, for add some more details for more "junk" you can maybe use some minecarts, heads, build some "motors", but btw this is really cool and you really inspire me with my cyberpunk city💪💯
I have quite a few minecarts hidden on the landfill already. But I have to be careful. Minecarts are entities and over using them may cause lag. And that is something I'm struggling with in this city anyway. I run it on 8Gb memory and still some areas are lagging (like down town plaza). With adding motors, do you mean like motor-cycles? Or engines? Both might be a good idea actually.
@@Markoy2011 oh sorry, I've not thinker about it. And yeah you can also add both, I think it can be a good news, also adding motor-cycles in the streets
No worries... it's one of those things you only find out after you build it. And then it's cry-time removing all the entities again.
@@Markoy2011 yeah, I'll consider that when I'll build the junkyard in my city😅
Love the look and overall feeling of the dump! Minecraft always had scale issues both with little details that can give feeling of self-copying and with a bigger areas which is why the dump looks kinda small for the city of this scale..
Yeah I agree, scaling things in Minecraft is sometimes a bit of a pain. And I agree with you that considering the size of the city, this landfill may be a bit small. So.... an extension on the other side of the road might be a good idea... But first I'll focus on some other projects.
Really nice build, but I really want to see the new progress of the cyberpunk city😁
Hehehe, yeah, the cyberpunk city will have a video next Saterday again. At leest... if I can manage time-wise.
This is definitely my favorite “inbetween” episode so far XD Some really awesome buildings design! ❤
Wait till you see the next one 😁 I hope I'll have it done before next Saterday, and else it will be a few days later
I know it is pretty late for suggestions but I am only catching up with the series. Anyway, every time I see a big empty wall in a slums I think about some gang’s graffiti. Like Valentinos or 6 street in CP77
Hey Vitamant, yeah that really is a good plan. I have quite a few empty walls, so graffiti would make a nice addition there. Still some other projects to do first, like: Next episode will be focused on the "trashification" of the city. And I am struggling with the planning on where to put the mono-rail system in... 😵💫 So... yeah, maybe I'll do some graffiti first. 😁
@@Markoy2011 I'll be waiting with impatience ;)
Love seeing all the details in this city, like the interiors of small buildings and shops or the neon signs and exteriors of skyscrapers. Dream that one day we will be able to walk the streets of this project!
Hi Vitamant, Yes I have been thinking a lot about how I could make the possible and I'm really considering of bringing this world to a server some day. But the world of minecraft servers is really new to me, so still lots to learn before I commit myself to that.
Can you send me the map so i can use it for my survival , the link in the comments doesnt work anymore

Hi Me_pleyz1981, the Seed is 2215943545979296714 The location where I build this is: -677 / 0 / -345 The whole thing is build around a hill, so don't expect to see nice flat terrain there. @@Markoy2011 thankyou ☺
Are you going to build in Creative or in Survival? Because...... it's huge... 😬
@@Markoy2011 survival, i know it's hard but i have plenty of time
Wohooo... Nice... well have fun building
Your work is so beautiful! ❤
Thank you 😊
This doesn't even look like minecraft. Cool af.
Hehehe thanks. The build in 2 weeks from now will push that even further 😬
I like it. It's definitely cyberpunk! I made some control circuits with pistons and slime like that for my last base. You don't see that often.
Yeah it was not my initial plan, but I actually liked it so much that I decided to use it a few times in this build.
@@Markoy2011 I think it's a great way to send signals. I've heard they've cut down the lag from open redstone lines, but it should have less lag than long lines of redstone. Although it's more expensive. It's one of the few ways you can send a signal up or down. Torch towers go up, but not down, for example.
This build is really good, and yet, you don't have a ton of views? UA-cam really needs to step up their game and promote small creators like you! We small UA-camrs are as human as big UA-camrs.
Yeah it causes quite a bit of self doubt; Do people not like my builds or my way of presenting? Or do I do something wrong with regards to adding the movie description or creating relevant tags? Or should I promote it more on socials? But hey, it is what it is. And I try to not let myself get demotivated by it. I still enjoy making the builds a lot, and it's fun to create the movies as well (even though that sometimes causes stress because of my continues lack of time). So you can expect more movies in the near future and thank you for your compliment. ☺️
@@Markoy2011 I think it's more UA-cam than people. I mean, you don't have a lot of views here, which is unfortunate (you deserve more views!). It's more the UA-cam algorithm promoting big over small, as opposed to people. Even if say, someone didn't like my videos, I would do anything I can to improve! Anyways, you're welcome!
Yeah I agree... the algorithm is a view killer to small channels.
Yeah I agree... the algorithm is a view killer to small channels.
Another beautiful build, I've discoreved you not long time ago, but I've do admit, I love your cyberpunk city, I hope you'll never quit this project 🙏
I still have many plans and ideas. If you (and anyone else) have ideas of suggestions, let me know. Yesterday I finished another crazy addition to the cyberpunk city. But I'll feature that expansion in 2 weeks from now in another InBetween episode. I'll give you a little hint: It has to do with trash. 😁 Yet another massive build in this project.
😉👏
Keep it up bro, don't give up!! 💪🤙
Thank you. Today a new vid will go live again.
Totally underrated series!
Thank you very much for this huge compliment 😊
what a beautiful terrain build
Thank you so much 😊
Man, you deserve way more views than you get. Great work! Love the hanging gardens of Babylon video’s. It’s such a great build. A few questions though, I posted it on another video, but that video was a few months old. How tall is the hanging gardens build? What is the width/length? Doesn’t need to be exact.. an approximate is perfectly fine. Just so I get an idea of how big it actually is🤔. Kinda wanna try building something inspired by this build. 10/10 build, all of it😍.
Hehehehe, yeah more views / subscribers would be nice, but I guess I must be doing something wrong (Only I have no clue what it is that i'm doing wrong). The hanging gardens buidling is approximatly 320 blocks long, 320 blocks wide and 80 blocks high. The tallest tree on the top level reaches to about 30 blocks higher. (So this brings the total build height to about 110 blocks) Ohw, and don't forget about the 5 block high base section.) I have this build as a download on my Patreon: www.patreon.com/Markoy2011/shop/hanging-gardens-of-babylon-litematica-160187?source=storefront
@@Markoy2011 much love. Keep up the great work, you’ll get there. I just know it!😁.
I still enjoy it a lot, so I'll keep on building (and recording) 😊
What are the dimensions of this build (the entire hanging gardens build) - (ish, doesn’t have to be absolutely perfect). Like.. how tall is it? How wide is it? I kinda wanna build something similar myself.. but idk what scale I want to build it. Also.. you’re absolutely great. Keep up the work, subscribed!👌🏾.
I'm gonna check it for you and get back to you as soon as possible. Right now Microsoft account is acting up, and I can't even log in. :S
@@Markoy2011 you’re the man! No worries, no stress or rush😄.
I just checked on the build, and it's roughly 320 blocks long, 320 blocks wide, and 80 blocks high (excluding the trees on the top level). I got a download available on my Patreon: www.patreon.com/Markoy2011/shop/hanging-gardens-of-babylon-litematica-160187?source=storefront Can you imagine that this build, I did not use world edit? best recommandation, big love from France
Thank you so much. Good to hear you've enjoyed the build. 😊
another amazing build mate
Thanks 😊 I'm trying 😅
Your ability to make trees and use gradients are most certainly enviable for me. Lol. Your terraforming is also excellent. I love the way the roots of the trees are situated into the rock, and I also love the the waterfall's appearance, with one steep fall and one more gradual. If I was going to add something else, I would just add some extra trees to the top of the hill where the water sprouts out from. Overall, this terraforming build was very aesthetic and beautiful.
Making those color gradients and designing the custom trees is also for me so much trail and error. I sometimes build something, only to remove it the next day because i just don't like it. The idea for adding the trees on top is certainly going to happen, but I haven't quite decided yet it there will also be something else on top of that hill. I got a nice idea, it only needs to develop a little bit more.
@@Markoy2011 I feel the pain of constant trial and error since I build in Minecraft often as well, but the effort you put into this build certainly paid off. I hope you have a good day, mate.
love the videos man! big inspiration
So happy to hear I've been an inspiration. I am always in doubt whether or not people like my builds & videos.
@@Markoy2011 Don't be in doubt. From what I've seen from a few of your videos, you are very talented at building (and showing off those builds for that matter).
Thank you so much. Another video will be posted today at noon (CET).

Just a question I’m trying to make a city of my own but when making the skyscrapers what length and width of blocks do u suggest when u start building up
Hi Bruhmomment375, That is actually a very interesting question to answer. I would say it depends greatly on the look you want the building to have. If you are building a huge skyscraper (like for instance the Transcendence building I have in my city, which goes all the way to build height), in order for it to have a tall and narrow look, I actually use a lenght of only about 120 blocks, a width of about 40 blocks, and the height of the building is to build height (320 blocks high). By giving it a relatively small base, you create a bit of an optical illusion that makes the building look taller. (Also note that in that building, between each row of windows, there is only 1 block. This attributes to the optical illusion.) In contrast to that, the building next to it (so in between the 24/7 news building and the Transcendence building is actually the opposite. Is also is about 120 blocks long, and about 60 wide, but because the building is only 130 blocks high, and only has about 9 floors (note that each floor is about 5 blocks high) it gives the impression that it is a much smaller building. (More a flat then a skyscraper). So yeah... therefore, your question is not very straightforward to answer. What I can give as a tip: Begin with setting up a wire-skeleton (mapping out floors/windows), and then look at it from a distance. If it gives a realistic feeling, it usually works out.
Very impressive work! :0
Thank you! Good to hear you like it. Stay tuned for more additions to the industrial district. I'll try and get an inbetween episode out by the end of this week (or maybe somewhere next week, depending on my progress). Made some really nice builds already.
Pls try map delta 2160
Looks nice. I'll have a go at it once I return home in a few weeks.
Very nice additions, they add a lot of life into the scenery. I really liked the food truck thats selling raw meat, thats just the vibe of dystopian city life to me :D For any suggestions, i dunno, maybe some more story telling, like the fallen red stripe on the one building, I think thats really cool to look at when viewing the city sometime later from the streets below
Ewa swa alles fatoe 🗣️🔥
Really cool design choice you got there with the bronze colored pipy corners there, love that! I also see you are a fellow Hermitcraft enjoyer with the parking barriers made from signs and caroet there :D As for suggestions, I always love to see some detailing, like car crashes, Trash lying around, some broken up stuff that needs renovations and so on. Also I could see a huge viaduct for trains running in between the buildings, with bridges that cast shadows onto the streets below for some shady business or something. Also would love to see your planning progress, if you scibble something before you build or what your logic is behind everything, like the distance between the road and building and why that is. Keep it up man!
Good to hear you like the build. I indeed scribble a lot in the planning phase. I got one of those 5 by 5 mm square noteblocks and I literally draw out words or building designs. I'll post some photos on the community post soon. And love to hear your ideas. I had been thinking about a train or a metro, but I want to make it a usable thing (so you can step into a minecart and rush yourself to another part of the city... but I've not quite figured out yet how I'm gonna combine the practical part with the ecstatical part. Because above all... it must look cyberpunk.
Ooh do I see some Keralis Inspo or was the roads with lines of signs a thing before?
Actually it was a Grian inspo. He did those lines on the permit office parking lot. But there are some downsides on it as well... for instance, I can't place banners on the side of the cars wheels now...
@@Markoy2011 Ah I see the downside yeah, but what's funny is that in his episode Grian said that the tip was given to him by Keralis and soon after Keralis used it for a tennis court hehe
Aaaah yeah that is true... he does use it in his tennis court. Also looks awesome by the way.
Hey, thats a really nice city you built there, love the arrows on the street, reminds me of F-Zero Highways :D I'd recommend a big multi story car park across the street of the 2 apartment building (one of which is the granite one) Keep it up!
Hi YuuGaro, that is a good idea. Do you mean on the side where there is still forest now, or on the dirt land next to building 02?
@@Markoy2011at 5:50, on the left side of the road, I think with a height of 2/3rds of the building your looking at at this moment. Maybe with some electricity thingy on the roof that connect to the buildings on the other side of the street for some vertical aesthetics. Keep it up! This is the best cyberpunk building style on YT right now!
Thank you soo much. That's a huge compliment. I will name the building after you 🤪
@@Markoy2011you are crazy! :D you don't need to do that. You are giving me lots of inspiration for my own city that I'm building in survival. Really enjoyed the lighting tutorial episode, that helped me a lot. I am still wondering how you come up with all the different shapes and color paletts of the buildings, I'm really struggling with that

dang that chip building is very cool

How do you not have more views and subscribers!? This is really good!
Thank you for saying that. I must be doing something wrong I guess 🤗 And due to my job I cannot post like every week unfortunatly, so probably the UA-cam algorithm doesn't really like me. But hey, I'll just keep building and posting.
@@Markoy2011 The UA-cam algorithm... of course!

Thanks for the great feedback, I'll work hard the next 5 weeks to expand the area more, and turn it even more 'cyberpunk'.
Amazing project! Can you add a world download in the description of the video? I would like to recreate this in my survival world
Hi Alphabet :) Nice to hear you like my build. Building this in survival? That is going to be quite a task :) I've made a litematica schematic for you. You can download it here: www.mediafire.com/file/nwwrjq8guj7auke/Hanging_Gardens_of_Babylon_by_Markoy2011.litematic/file Enjoy building, and resource gathering, and building, and resource gathering, and more building, and more resource gathering, and even more building, and gathering and building and gathering and building and gathering etc. etc. etc. ;)
@@Markoy2011 Thank You so much! I think a few months of work is worth it to build such a masterpiece, I will give it my all. I wish you good luck and strength in future buildings!
