Aiming to help local feline rescue groups this Olympia cat adoption haven is a cause for the paws
Tiffany Weitzel opened the Pawsific NorthWest Cat Cafe in May as an adoption platform for local rescues that do not have public shelters or buildings for adopters to meet and adopt cats and kittens, including strays and those who have been abandoned. Not just a cute play on words the Olympia, Wa. cafe offers a variety of beverages and food along with some local artworks and kitty-centric gifts.

On Monday, June 24, 2024 Tumwater Fire Dept. personnel began sifting through the charred remains that once was the long-vacant South Pacific restaurant. Our hospital and community desperately needs these beds. The missing piece here is that there are not enough nurses to staff the current beds at St. Pete's, let alone these new beds. The quality (and safety) of care nurses are able to provide has taken a frightening nose dive the last few years and nurses are leaving in droves due to the inhumane conditions for staff and patients. The Olympian, please report on that side of the story 💛
