I know this is about Capaldi's acting, but how can you include the Bootstrap Paradox and not the opening four notes to Beethoven's 5th?

I feel like Capaldi brought Doctor Who from the classic era to New Who. He acted as the grumpy grandfather that eventually learned to love and be kind. His portrayal reminded me so much of Hartnell’s time as the Doctor.

Do you know what his job is? If you watch an episode he acts for like 46 minutes.

"you can't see me. you look at me and you can't see me." - Whenever he says that, I SEE them all, every freakin' time! **sob sob** It's like that bit in 'Dimension In Space and Time' where 11th appeared in front of 1st and grabbed onto the TARDIS console. I could see the whole 60+ years of Doctor Who in that ONE scene, and I cried my eyes out!

Danny is right though, The Doctor IS an officer, BUTTT he's an officer who HATES being saluted at. Usually it's him who does the saluting, like he did with cyber brig. Seriously love 12th to bits, bring him back ASAP!

I stopped watching Doctor Who when the 12th Doctor regenerated. The loss of both Peter Capaldi as the Doctor and Murray Gold as the composer was just too much. Maybe I'll start watching again someday, now that RTD and Gold are back. But I can't see anyone matching - never mind besting - Capaldi's performance as the Doctor. He was magnificent!

A line that hits too close to home, and is underrated , would've have been "That's the trouble with Hope." "It's hard to resist....." ......

So why in the episode of the doctor's day the Time Lords say "there is a thirteenth doctor" when Capaldi appears for the first time to save Gallyfree? I see confusion between the movie dialogue and the counting of this you tube channel 😅. However the Doctor is fantastic. Thank you if you will answer😊

The 12th is honestly my favorite of the doctors because he had so much depth. Sadly I did not care for the writing of the script and often felt a little bored while watching the episodes. Series 9 is my last favorite of the new series but also some of my all time favorite moments come from series 9. The first two episodes with Davros are amazing, the twelfth’s speech to the humans and Stygans with the buttons is easily, EASILY my favorite speech beating out Tenths final rant to Wilfred and the final two episodes of series 9 are so fucking amazing in terms of twelfths acting. He was genuinely terrifying.

It took me a very long time to grow on capaldi, I thought he was too callous and insensitive compared to his predecessors. Then came the “do you think I care for you so little” line and I realized that I liked this doctor. Then came the “where I fall” speech and I realized that he was my favorite doctor. He was THE doctor in every way.

He's my second favorite Doctor. Tom Baker is my first.

Having watched the 60th anniversary specials, you can see how the Fourteenth Doctor was influenced by 12. The entire vibe is that he has 10's rough mannerisms, but carries the weight of everything that happened to the 11th, 12th, and 13th doctors with him.

He is absolutely riveting to watch. Best modern Doctor.

Danny pissed me off so much with the "officer" comment. Danny truly had no clue the trauma and experience the Doctor carried from being a FRONTLINE WARFIGHTER

Season 8 was about the Doctor being bitter Season 9 was about the Doctor being merciful Season 10 was about the Doctor being hopeful I love all the actors but I don't think any portrayed such an emotional growth over the years as Capaldi did

This doctor seems to capture more of the dramatic and sad side of the doctor's character, rather than the goofy doctor that's always cracking jokes and doing goofy things

I hate that Jodie's Doctor _never_ followed Capaldi's last words. She never found joy in exploring the universe, always complaining and lecturing her companions, and though she might've put up a façade of politeness, she was _never_ kind, let alone for the sake of kindness itself.

I absolutely loved Capaldi. He made me laugh, he made me cry, he made me think, he made me learn. I miss him. And it pains me because I took him for granted. Younger me was so upset about Matt Smith leaving that I didn't take the time to truly appreciate him. I owe him the sincerest apology.
