i played this so it feels too slow
Funny how everyone is playing this for their spring concert, anyways im also playing this for my spring concert (yes im only getting this now), i play snare and i feel so powerful in this piece, one of my favorite songs ive played.
Alguien me puede por favor compartir esta obra ???? Saludos desde Colombia
Years ago I heard this march on a history of music VHS tape and had to check the credits for it since it was identified as John Kennedy's favorite march. I was working at a music store and attempted to find the arrangement but was unable to do so. About that time, the Marine Band was in town and I asked the director about it and he put me in touch with their librarian who in turn gave me Nestico's contact information. Nestico told me about it and unfortunately he wrote it for the Marine Band and those arrangements were not to be shared. It is good to hear it again and see it has been made available.

great
Amazing!!!
Heard this played yesterday at a friend's son's winter concert at their high school. My favorite part is around 2:00 on here with the buildup of the rumble that, live, sounded like tanks getting closer and closer.
what is this shit stephen?
My band is currently practicing this for our Christmas concert I can’t wait to play it!

Beautiful piece, played it in high school and it never gets old
Every nineties band kid rejoice. Greatest composition of our youth,
I like the quartal buildup at the end.
Intermission Riff!
Sounds great!
TY, John
Awesome!
Like the 360! And of course, SJAWE sounds terrific as always!
in videos like this and Galactic Force, who animated the videos? You? the students? the distributer of the music?
We have several members in SJAWE that have made the background videos we use. Content is found on the web and edited to fit with the music.
Not to brag, but, my middle school band actually played this in our concert on march 17th 2022. Given it was a middle school band concert, so not necessarily a public performance, it was more for the parents.
Great
We played this in my city's junior band and I started tearing up at ine point that I couldn't play and I had to get it together for the final note 😅 that's how beautiful it is
Thank you to the best clarinet teacher I ever knew. Awesome, Ron and friends.
TY for the kind words.......you made my day!
such wow
yee holm slice?
do I?
How beautiful 💛
YOU GO MICHELLE CONGRATULATIONS ON YOUR WEDDING DAY. YOU ARE SO AWESOME ON THE CLARINET . MERRY CHRISTMAS TO YOU AND YOUR FAMILY.
In middle school we played Moscow 1941 for a competition and then for our final concert we played this just hearing this brings back so many memories and it's amazing how Moscow 1941 was integrated
Yes
Just yesterday for a Rural Honor Band, we played both Moscow 1941 and Kyiv 2022 and I absolutely love them both. The different stories behind them is so impactful.
Why no comments
Bro this soo good
The trombone part on this is pretty easy ngl, but the name does not fit the actually piece :/
You’re probably right. This is the composer (Darren Jenkins) Sorry, I couldn’t come up with a better title. I actually let the publisher give it that title (:
@@compozr oh that’s cool, I didn’t think the composer would see this. I like it a lot, it has an interesting feel but most of the flutes don’t like it because I’m assuming their parts lol
Hello, would be possible to share the scores?
this is slower than we play it
You gentlemen are great!
This song is beautiful.
Whose arrangement is this?
John Ireland
@@ronpoorman5693 the piece is written by John Ireland, the arrangement will be by somebody else. John Ireland did not write this for concert band 😊
@@jonathancrowhurst9321 I'm currently playing an arrangement by Geoffrey Brand, and I think it is the same one.
Very nice. Lovely composition ... well executed. Great to see so many generations playing in the same orchestra.
This is the most odd version of Sleigh Ride I’ve ever experienced. 😂
I was relatively new to SJAWE but this piece is absolutely beautiful as are the dancers and especially the narrator
