    I’m scheduled for transposition in October. My main symptoms are pain, numbness, and tingling when I rest my elbows for a period of time on my desk at work. Do a desk job so this is everyday. After an hour or so my arm gets very uncomfortable. I don’t have muscle loss or numbness in pinky. Nerve does sublux especially when doing push ups or bench press. I hope the surgery fixes my issues. How are you doing now years out? Are you back to 100% where you don’t even think about it anymore?

  • @jackt6112
    @jackt6112 2 роки тому

    The Toro engines are made by Loncin Corporation. It is a large company based in Chongqing, China. I have not heard much negative or outstanding about the engines' performance and reliability. The main issue has been parts, which is typical of Chinese producers. They change suppliers at will, with the supplier performing the design work, resulting in an unmanageable matrix of parts. This may be why Toro didn't stick with them. Toro has traditionally designed and manufactured engines, but haven't made these small engines in a long time.

    • @kevinjames5116
      @kevinjames5116 2 роки тому

      Yeah the interesting thing is the salesman actually said that this toro branded engine would be easier to get parts for. But as you said looking at the toro website they don’t make a super recycler with a toro branded engine anymore. They are all Briggs or they have the older model like mine with the Honda. I do like the looks of the new one with the vortex system and like the new wheels.

    • @jackt6112
      @jackt6112 2 роки тому

      @@kevinjames5116 My dilemma is the person I am buying for needs electric start, and it needs to be simple. Toro - No electric start with SpinStop, and it doesn't have an alternator which means she would have to be near a plug, not a shed, to plug it in to recharge. You have to start it every time you pick up a stick or empty the bag. The only one with a good combination is the 30" Timemaster, which is a 150 lb. monster. Honda - Electric start and blade stop are available as a combination, but then you are stuck with their hydrostatic drive system with a throttle, fixed speed settings, and two bails to hold down, and when you engage the bail it is jump and go or stop, like a cheap mower, except it uses an expensive and inefficient hydraulic motor and pump propulsion system, which is ridiculous. It also has a plastic deck rather than aluminum like the Toro. Motors - The Honda and a good Briggs are equals and parts are more available and cheaper for the Briggs. Fortunately Honda quit putting OHCs on their mowers, so it isn't as bad as it used to be.

    • @jackt6112
      @jackt6112 2 роки тому

      @@kevinjames5116 Exactly! The first question the Honda dealer should ask people is, "Is your car and automatic or a stick?" The second question should be, "Do prefer a mower that adjust to your pace and conditions or one with fixed speeds that dictates a constant pace independent of where you are mowing?" Okay. I had a subq transfer and some of the triceps cut because it was snapping as well however i still have snapping and doc said he is going to interlance the medial tricep completely to cut off any chance and I am wondering if the nerve also snaps because I def feel some sort of snapping there still, no real change. He said he doesn't care to do muscular transfer as well if it will satisfy me. Just wondering if it will work. Is there any way to contact you? Like to do videochat and talk easily

      @@AlcatrazMeow no real easy way to video or anything. There are muscles and stuff that run along the medial epicondyle and along the back of your elbow there. As I feel there when I move my elbow back-and-forth I can feel those moving a bit. But it is not the nerve as it is not big enough to be the nerve and I don’t feel any tingling down my arm whenever I touch it. It’s something in the muscles that moves around in there but I can feel that on the other side as well. So maybe you’re feeling that.

      Had my ulnar submuscular transposition and medial epicondyle debridement on right arm done Wednesday. No sling. Took bandage off this a.m.; and now wrist lacer wrist and foreman support will remain for 4 weeks. Wants that elbow moving immediately. Left one done 6/29 subcutaneous method. That one doing well. Played round of golf at 3 weeks and began lifting routine at same time at ~20% of what I had been doing. Left side guidance; let pain be your guide. Right side obviously different ballgame. The 5# limit at least first 4 weeks. Carpal tunnel done at same time both sides. Fascinating different surgeons, different guidance, same procedure. Happens all the time.

    Thanks for the videos. Any chance of a 12 week one? Won't go into a lot of detail but from what I've learned (based on how well I can see your hand) the muscle is done/beyond that magical 18 month limit. I'll come back after meeting with my surgeon 8/4 to discuss what may happen with my right elbow (possibly a combo ulnar sub-muscular & medial epicondyle release surgery). Just had the left one done 5 weeks ago 8/3 subcu transposition method + carpal tunnel. That muscle looks similar to yours and by appearance my surgeon and neurologist both said beyond the 18 month threshold and now it is all about stopping further deterioration. Right side muscle very little atrophy but nerve tests caught the ulnar and pain in my elbow with did weight work in gym caught the medial but he will confirm that on 8/4. Could be an ugly recovery time period detaching that tendon and reattaching.

      I will do an update soon. I am at 3 months now. I feel like I am seeing the muscle coming back a bit. A note about clumps when turning: If you go left when turning around, it’ll keep the grass under the deck and mulch it up. If you turn right, the clockwise rotation of the blade makes it kick out of the left side of the mower in large pieces.
