Supermoto passing vehicles on the Dragon US129
Переглядів 1016 років тому
Compilation of my Supermoto trim Honda XR650R passing people on the Dragon. All these people were rude, and would not use the pull offs to allow traffic to flow. If someone comes up behind you on the Dragon, use a pull off and let them pass safely. The mentality of now I go faster cause someone is behind me is silly, you have been caught, now move over. Its not a stab at your pride or bike. Eve...

Im now in the process of bringing my 97 TLS is green back to life, off the road since 2010. Fuel pump is in need of repair.. but a couole of squirts of fuel down each throttle body gave it a few good cracks from the exhausts...to remind me of the noise 😂
How were the 6pot brake calipers borrowed from the busa which came out in 99 and the gsxr 1000 when it didn't come out till 01 ??
@alzabigbong3031 these are upgrades, not original equipment.
@Hondaparadox All TLS's and TLR's came with 6pot tokico's bud As did SRAD GSXR 750'S , they were the first to have them standard 🤘
Absolutely STUNNING! 💯😎
Beautiful bike. I always had a fancy for them. I did buy a used 81 XL500S back in 82 only kept it a year or so but rode it to school and still dirt biked with it. Rode in winter in snow a few times and on a frozen lake to find my friends who were snowmobiling, which I did. I still would not mind picking up,an Ascot.
Just, and everything, that I needed.
No choke is fuel injection it has a fast idle lever
I just bought one off facebook that doesn't run. Wish me luck, if anyone has spare parts hit me uppppp!
I just got my deck isntalled and the huy pushed the keyhole to get gear oback so he can put the deck in so he put it back and pushed the key hole and put it back in park but when we started the car it wont go into gear unless i put a key or something in the hole and that goes for when i put it in reverse any aswers on how to fix the problem 😢😢😢😢
Niesamowity motocykl
I loved them when they came out. I wanted one but was not old enough to ride on the street. A couple years later I got a used 81 XL500, good wheelies.
Wanted but never could afford one in high school in 1982 but I love the 1980’s rectangle theme. Rectangle indicators, gauges, headlight, taillight and even the mirrors are rectangles. I don’t think that will ever come back in style,
82 ended.not so i saw these in 84 in uk
Beautiful bike
Thank you- very good clear video!
I've had driven this model from 1991-1997 as a woman before I got my first child: it is a perfect machine easy to care for IT as a woman. Easy in handling for long tours inclusive mountain ways in Europe 😊. Repeating repair problems: Oil and very low tank volume for long road trips.
I bought one new in 82. Put on cafe racer bars, had a tank bag and 2 saddle bags. Loved that bike if I had money I would buy another.
Verycool😊
'97 1000s Owner here 😁 Yoshi cam's, Yoshi full system, RGV N race bike front calipers, locked centre clutch, Harris rear sets and fairing mount, EBC discs, Harris rear brake arm, power commander, remapped ECU etc etc. Proper old school weapon and the sound at full chat... 😎
I've got the XLR 500. This bike would have benefited from using the FT 500 unit !
Today I hired a rental van to pick up a pristine FT500 ! Allready had 3 of them in the past. Very rare to be able to buy one that is not been chopped up, but still original !
What’s the last four of your vin? Mine is 0618. Trying to figure out the highest VIN and figure out how many were made. 1100 is the highest I’ve seen.
List price was somewhere north of $2K but they sat in inventory. By the 83 model year you could buy a brand new 82 for $995. I got a red one and a buddy bought a black one. Mine did the beginner bike thing and was replaced before the third set of tires but my buddy commuted his and put serious miles on it. Honda replaced the head gasket twice (oil leaks) and the exhaust pipe once (broken rattling inner pipe in the double wall head pipe) under warranty. They’d have been money ahead to throw that one in the dumpster while still in the box. They were fun but quirky and certainly worthy of an upgrade. My next bike was a lightly used 77 Suzuki GS 750-THAT was a keeper.
Nice bike dude, take care of it. And God bless your friend !
👍
Rotary DAMPER not Dampener . It's not that moist .
Youre showing us the spring on a Stick from a TLR my friend . Different bike .
Which yoshi exhaust is that
I've got a SV 1000 cerrozerra forged aluminium wheels,, and an ohlins shock,,tl 1000 forks ,, nowadays they are worth money 💰💰💰 but my K6GSXR is my favourite bike ☘️☘️☘️☘️☘️ from northern Ireland
Just picked up a 83 really good condition and well maintained low miles , it will transformed into a thumpin flat brat .
Have a 97 to restore was my friends I ran my pro road race team for 30 plus years and watched the yoshimura riders Steve Creviar and Pascal Picate crashed them to hell especially at Daytona l still can't wait to build this one🔥
Thanks video was great 👍
Yes. The carbon yoshis without doubt made this the 'best sounding bike in the lot'. Weak at the knees...
Oh I have that 😂I love it 💓
Can I ask how much you got it for ?
Just got a 97 for 2.3 with so many extras
What make&model is the windscreen on your SW?
Dude the word is damper not dampner lol.
My misses just got me the 1986 ft 500 sh happy with it
10W-40 SYNTHETIC IS GREAT TO USE IN THIS SCOOTER...
Why not use Honda brand oil?
I wish I had never sold my 83
Hope you find another!
Still have mine bought new, red, 29000 miles
I have an sv650 and a 97 tl1000s!
Sound like a priest talking to his flokk on a Sunday morning 😂😂
I love this bike ❤
Excellent video thanks!!!
Thank you!
2006 motogp champ
Put a Hayabusa radial front end in mine , got rid of the stock damper and spring and added a Bitubo adjustable rear shock. Now so much better in and out of corners. Added a Power commander and had it tuned. Welded clutch centre to get rid of that annoying play in the clutch and converted the cable clutch to hydraulic.
I just me atls and wa t to know the best sprocket combo that will make her more lively off the line.
@juanhoward2850 1 tooth less on the front sprocket gives it same top speed but as it hits the rev limiter rather than with rpm to spare...but faster off the line 👍
The TL-S is what made me fall in love with the SV. A pilot in my Harrier squadron had a naked TL, and it was a sick bike. Still love these gorgeous machines.
Nice video! Where did you get your seat and rear shock?
Compete with new bikes??? On the road yes of course! I race with big bang Yamaha, and it was fun. About fancy dash? Then No. Thats it. Love it tourqe, irregular trottle respond. Sound Amaizing. Sv1000s is like honda 50cc compare with tl1000s. I have2 of them. Tl is amazing. I still think rotary damper works good for me. Maybe because I live in Ireland. Good lock
Sorry but where engines were leaking?
I have a 1998 TL1000S great bike love the thunder and all its quirks
I did also. 98 TL1000s, black with the S on the tank in red, the rest of logo was white. That bike almost killed me, my own fault of course, broke right leg in 3 parts (almost lost it) and nothing else, had full leathers on. Very deceiving power mid/high range if that's a way to describe it, first couple of times I rode it got totally surprised and a little scary, but got used to it. Loved every second I rode it, but this is was not a beginner's bike. Once you pass 95 mph on the highway the front tire started to shake a little so I changed the steering damper and was fine after that more or less. In essence, best bike I ever had, as you said, with all its quirks. As soon as I could walk on canes after recoup, fixed it and back on it until I sold it. I always knew what I had between my legs and how to deal with it, big fan v-twin bikes, wish I could find one in good conditions to buy it again, but my wife wouldn't let me tho, I'm 63.
