i enjoy your videos! As a recommendation if this interests you, I think you should edit the footage to be in 2x speed. Of course its up to you though. I think your channel has a lot of potential and I hope to see it grow!
Thank you so much for your comment and recommendation! Actually, I have been thinking about that but found some people watching for their relaxation purpose so still haven’t been able to decide. I would like to hear people's opinions as much as I can. I would like to give it a try once as a special version though😊
just wanted to say i love watching your videos. they are very relaxing. thank you for posting1
Thank you for watching my daily routine! I'm glad it made you relax😊
i clicked on this video from my recommended out of curiosity not expecting to watch the whole thing but then i watched the whole thing
Thanks for your nice comment! I'm really glad you watched the whole video. Arigato!!
Yummy!
It was! We are in Rotorua now too!
@ Thats awesome! Is the air really smelly? 😅
@miaqrss Yes, but we are used to it as there are a lot of Onsen in Japan😆 I love this place as I could live here!
@ Im glad you like it in New Zealand! Im from the North island, but I wont say where exactly for my privacy. I’ve been Rotorua a couple times and I think it’s quite a cool place! Have you been to the prawn and shrimp fishing place?
@miaqrss Oh you are from Northern Island. Great! We stayed in Auckland a couple of days and the steak restaurant called Tony's and a Japanese restaurant called Yamato in Rotorua were both so nice! And good quality of Onsen. Really good place especially Japanese people like us! No, we haven't been there..We are heading to Tongariro tomorrow so missed it..
A Japanese classic, looks absolutely delicious! Have a fantastic week my dear friend.
Thanks for the nice comment! Have a great week my friend😊
Let us watch the process but not the part you eat, is pure criminal. Mind that.
Ha ha ha. Sorry for torturing😅
I love these videos! POV style is great to learn from
I'm glad you love the videos! I hope it was esay enough to learn😊
That looks absolutely delicious my friend, I really hope to try your homemade dishes someday! God bless your soul
I'm glad you enjoyed the new video! Please have a try when you have time😊
Oh i love Nikujaga, my ex showed it to me. I always make it with sojasauce and fish sauce, maybe wrong haha, but it's delicious as hell. 🥰
I'm glad you like Nikujaga as well! We don't use fish sauce but some people would love it😊
at last the fridge is cleaned
Thanks to you, I finally did it!😂
57 mins of relaxation
I'm glad you relax with my video😊
Don't worry Illy, I subscribed so your owner now has to give you more carrots!
Thank you for the subscription! I will give her more carrots😊
I like the thought of just using sprite or whatever kind of soda in place of making up something. Also its plenty warm for cold treats here. We hit 33F today so we were above freezing long enough.
I was just too lazy to make the syrup. Sorry if I made you cold there😅Hope you enjoyed the video😊
Everything you prepare looks so good! hopefully I’ll manage to pull off these dishes some day
I'm glad you think the meals are good! Cooking is like fun puzzles, combining different pieces together and making one thing. Enjoy😊
My local asian grocery store is hopefully reopened by now, I will go make this!! thank you so much!
Actually, your local supermarkets may have it in Asian section. Here in Australia, they both have it in coles and Woolworths. Enjoy!😊
@ Oh, im in NZ and unfortunately in our woolworths and other supermarkets we don’t have glutinous rice flour there unfortunately. But I did go to an asian grocery store and was able to buy the exact one that you used! I made it and it was absolutely delicious. Thank you!
@miaqrss The product lineup at Woolworths in New Zealand is different, isn’t it? But I’m glad you were able to find the same item! I’m happy to hear you could enjoy the same thing😊
Pumpkin recipe looks so interesting! I’ll find a chance to try it✌🏻 For the salmon enoki rice, I quite cook it very often since it’s so convenient to do (with only one pot). I’m from Thailand by the way, again, thanks for sharing your homie recipes😬🤍
Thank you for your comment again! The pumpkin is really nice so please give it a try when you have some time. It's a bit sweet and nice. I like those one-pot things as well, just cut the ingredients and mix them with rice and switch on the rice cooker. So easy, isn't it? Thailand! Nice. I've been to Phuket, beautiful island and people😊
There it is! Sukiyaki!😋
Yes! Thank you for finding it!😊
From your dining table I guess you might have yummy sukiyaki often for sure! Thanks for sharing your dish😆
I'm glad you like Sukiyaki! We love it too! It's so easy to make and yummy. You are 100% right😊
@ today I cooked this dish, taste so nice and also feeling so healthy to eat loads of veggies 🥕🥬 Thanks for sharing😆👍🏻
I'm really glad you tried it and like it! Yes, it's healthy and gentle flavour😊 Thank you for trying😊👍
looks fantastic!! congratulations on 600+ subscribers!
Thank you again for your comment! I am glad people watch my daily routine! My next video are going to be your request, Mochi dessert. It was really nice! Please check it out😊
@ Of course!! I will watch it for sure, from start to finish!! So excited to see it
that looks absolutely delicious. I would love to try it out someday! Love from India my good friend, I’d love to see you try our cuisine there as well
Hello my friend! Thank you for your comment from India! I have friends from India in Australia so will collaborate soon😊
nice video! i’ve never had savory mochi before. only sweet. I would certainly try this!
Glad to hear you enjoyed the video! Please give it a try! I am going to post sweet Mochi next so please check it out too😊
Those are some healthy servings ! Worthy of a new year's eve dinner 😄
Thank you for your comment! After reading your comment, I looked into why Japanese people eat soba at the end of the year, and it seems to originate from the idea that soba noodles are long and thin, symbolizing longevity, and that they are easy to cut, representing the act of cutting off the misfortunes of the past year. I had been eating it without knowing the reason 😅
@@AJapaneseManCooks Well thank you for telling me this, love to hear about small cultural traditions ! Here in France new year's isn't so much of a holiday but it's common to make a wish under a mistletoe
nice. i’m going to try making this soon.
This is my special recipe. Please give it a try😊
This is a really good video!! I was kinda entranced by some parts of it, its really satisfying. Its also nice to see just a regular cooking channel. You sir have a new subscriber. :] Also, your dog is adorable!!

@ So excited!
My chocolate lab love carrots too! Great to learn Japanese food tradition
Hello Labrador friend! Great to hear you enjoy my videos😊
i bought a pack of mochi for new years for the first time, i never thought of toasting it before adding it to soup! thank you for the great idea
I’m glad my video helped you! Many Japanese people grill it before adding it. If you grill it a bit more than in the video before adding it, it’ll taste even better, so please give it a try!
Hello! Thank you so much for your awesome videos. Another good one my friend! Much love to you and your family. Love your dog ILLY too. I have a white lab, Preece mix. She acts all lab. Happy 2025 !
Thank you so much for your warm comments my friend! We love you and your half lab dog too! We hope you have wonderful 2025!
Happy new year 🎉
Happy New Year🤗
Yummy! Is it possible you can show us how to make a sweet dessert mochi?
Of course! I made another Mochi video and will post it soon, but this one is not a sweet dessert. However, I still have some ingredients for a sweet Mochi, so I’ll make it soon for you!
@@AJapaneseManCooks Thank you so much!
I love hearing the sirens in the back, it makes the video feel so gentle and relaxing! This looks delicious
Great to hear you like it😊
its so crazy how fast your channel is gaining subscribers!! keep it up!
Is this fast? I have no idea😅 I just keep cooking and uploading😂
@@AJapaneseManCooks I have had my channel for 7-8 years and it’s taken me a long time. I have had 2 videos gone viral, one i had to delete because of copyright, and one i still have posted. Those videos are the ones that get me all my subscribers, Without them I would only have around 1,000 subscribers. I delete lots of my videos because of how old they are and bad 😅 But you have a serious talent of cooking and deserve way more!! I am yet to try your recipe’s as my local asian grocery store has been shut for the christmas holidays. But as soon as they re-open, I will get the ingredients!
Oh my god you have 4250 subscribers!! You are a big Sempai of UA-cam so please tell me more when you have time😊 Are you from NZ? We are actually visiting there soon! Please enjoy your cooking!
yumm!
Welcome back! It was really yummy😊
Hi my friend
Hello my friend😊
Hey sir quick question for you that isn't related to this video. Have you ever made your own umeshu? And how long can you actually leave the ume in it if you happen to know? On to the video, I enjoy immensely watching your channel. Seeing some of the more traditional ways food is made is great as its been something I had questions about in the past.
Many thanks for your question and kind comments! Yes, I have. Umes are supposed to be taken out in around 3 months after you starting to make Umeshu. I hope you will enjoy good Umeshu soon!
All I have here commercially is Choya. Last year I attempted to get some ume but was late and couldn't. Ended up making "anzushu" with some local apricots. Hoping this year will be different and actually be able to find ume.
Good luck! You’re doing good
Many thanks for your kind comment! It really encourages me😊
The dog is so adorable ❤
She is really cute, isn't she?😊
The salmon looks very nice and with the courgette it’s a nice healthy meal
They are very light and healthy meals. Please give them a try😊
@I will definitely give it a try when I get some salmon as I like salmon and courgettes
if you had to pick just 1 pot/pan to cook with apart from the rice cooker what would you choose
That's actually a good question! I would choose a pot as you can use it as a pan as well!
oh wow thanks for making a dish for that vegan haha 😅 anything from an animal is off limits for vegan, but there are vegan butters (like margarine) so it's easy to substitute. tofu prepped the way you made it here is one of my favorite ways to eat it! so simple but so delicious. also I love how versatile miso soup is, you can really add whatever you want or have on hand. the zucchini you made looks delicious! last night I made something very similar, using celeriac for the steak instead of zucchini. the sauce I made was almost identical and I also made the crispy garlic to infuse the oil/butter. what a coincidence!! scoring the veggies makes such a huge difference. dinner looked delicious and I saw you save some cabbage for Illy!
Thank you for your comment again! Yes, I tried a kind of vegan dish without any knowledge and confidence lol Yes, as you say, Tofu without any prep is actually the best way to have it. Some people say it doesn't have taste but it does and you must taste of natural soy. I love it too. You can add anything in Miso soup even tomatoes as well. Its sour flavor enhances the Miso taste. I used to love eating adding cooked rice in Miso soup when I was a kid too. What a coincidence you had a very similar dish! Yes, I put aside some of it for Illy. :) Thanks again for watching my daily routine!
do you have facebook

That's a great idea and I really need it! I'll do that!
