    I'm curious. Since I know you don't use sheet music, and you never recorded this piece until now, does that mean that it existed only in your memory? And you were able to recall it in detail after nearly three decades? If so, that's remarkable.

    • @rrberry
      @rrberry 2 роки тому

      The short answer is yes. But it's not like I set it aside 27 years ago and then had to recall it from some deep recess of my memory. I've been playing this piece continually for three decades, so I never really had a chance to forget it.

    Beautiful music. I also like the video presentation. I listened to this just after returning home from a trip to Rock Hill, so I was tired from the drive. I had just finished unloading my car and bringing everything (my luggage and the groceries I bought on the way into town) up the stairs to my apartment. I walked down the hill and back up to retrieve my mail. I pull the pill minder out of my suitcase to take my evening meds, only to find that one of the compartments had popped open in transit, and some pills had escaped. I thought I heard one fall on the floor, so I got down and crawled around with a flashlight, but I never found it. Then I evicted a June bug that had somehow sneaked into the apartment. So I was hot, sweaty, and feeling stressed out. I poured a cold drink, turned on a fan to help me cool off, and checked my e-mail, which included your note announcing the release of this video. Clicking the link, I listened to this relaxing and peaceful instrumental . . . and all of my tension just drained away. It was exactly what I needed at that moment. Thank you.

    I lived in Matthews, North Carolina util I was twelve. We used to go to Carowinds every summer and this was by far my favorite ride. I went to my cousin's wedding down there last week and made a trip to Carowinds. Was very sad to see this ride was no longer there. Fury is pretty damn good though.

      @@kevinowens8282 I miss the Old Carowinds feel. It doesn't seem to have disnct themes anymore . And the attraction rides like Top Gun get painted and renamed which waters down the experience and even if they had to rebuild it Thunder Rode made Carowinds it's like they ripped the heart out. Tragic. I went in 2016 season and it was not the same even with the Fury. I miss the lake and piers, rides over water, the River boat. From Childhood to Adulthood it was a gem until it was sold and went in a new direction...
