Hey guys, my name is Brian and this is my channel, Study Fish Repeat!
Although I currently go to college in the midwest, I grew up in Martin County, FL on the Treasure Coast enjoying fishing, diving, hunting and pretty much everything about the outdoors. When I am back in town, I like to film my adventures, so I figured I will share them here with you.
I like to always be ready before I go offshore. Here you will find my stories of 'studying' the conditions, 'fishing' (and hopefully catching), and 'repeating' it all to make videos for you!

I FREAKED OUT! WHAT ELSE IS THERE TO DO IN THIS SITUATION? Unbelievable Gaffing of the BIGGEST MAHI!
This is a video I put together of what happened wen we tried to catch a monster Mahi-Mahi. Dad was on the rod because it was Father's Day. I was on gaffing duty. Chaos ensues.
In this trip we hooked into our BIGGEST MAHI of the whole year. While trying to gaff it in to the boat, the gaff hook actually broke. Before I could run and get another gaff, the leader material chafed and the fish escaped. I hope he is still out there swimming around. We will get him next time!
What would you do in this situation? Try to gaff it again with the broken gaff? Spear it with the spear-gun? Try to gaff it quicker? LET ME KNOW WHAT YOU WOULD DO IN THE COMMENTS BELOW

Ok why did you make this video?it's totally wrong motor needs to be level strait down when draining and filling you best check it again and do it right bc you are low on oil this way

As long as it's not white and milky there is no water in the oil (my biggest concern) I have put many hrs on this boat since the video and everything is okay.

we were also shocked with how much life there was! we did not go back to get the lobster during season (I personally try to avoid the mini-season crowds)

Thanks for interacting with my post! As per FWC website lemon sharks are prohibited from harvest in Florida state waters. That is why we don’t keep lemon sharks.

Love it. Grew up in stuart, so many good times on the south fork and throughout the st lucie river. Seen some monster gators there for sure. Used to pick psychedelic mushrooms where the old cow pastures meet the south fork (pretty much where the south fork ends) That part of the river, full moon mushroom hunts, unforgettable experiences.
