Originally, “God Bless The USA” was written in the key of F; this arrangement was done in E flat mainly to suit the range of the bagpipes.

I think using a hazer would really add to the overall effect of the show, but I know that some venues can be bitches about haze and smoke detectors! ;-)

Yes goldbloke the band held a vote i believe sometime in the 90's about changing the name to Coldstream Guards Band but after having the grenadier name for so long it was voted to keep it. We had already won so many prestigious titles and performed with the guards as the grenadiers..anything else we did as the coldstream guards band (if it were changed to that) would seem like two different bands.

The band’s name is the Liberty High School Grenadier Band; the uniforms were authorized by the Coldstream Guards band. The LHSGB has played with the Coldstream Guards multiple times both in the states and in London. We are the only USA Band authorized to use these uniforms.

The sound is a little weird on this video, it's hard to hear the orchestra or the ensemble... but otherwise very nice voices! It's a hard song to pull off. I like the sets in the back!

I am from Europe, I am not an American. But I say: great job! God Bless America! Take it from a foreigner like me: America has always been, and still is, and will always be the greatest nation on Earth! May God Bless you, and keep that optimism, that patriotism up! Without it, America will surely go down the same sorry path as Europe. trust me, I know. Europeans are ashamed of their flag. They are afraid of patriotism, b/c it may offend immigrants. But the USA does the right thing!
