lol I'm new to the game and haven't seen /any/ of this but I kinda wanted to peek ahead. This game is so much larger than I'd expected. I'm eager to push on. Love the content.
It is a pretty big game as far as content with the devs constantly working on it. there's is something to be said for discovering things, which is why I avoid spoilers/lore if I can, because that's worth tracking down in emails, voice recordings, etc.
So this is the fourth tips video for Abiotic Factor that I've watched, but the only two I didn't quit halfway into were yours. These are good tips. Too many tips videos are "hey build a club it's actually good, don't forget to build a shield it helps" etm. Your tips are actual tips, and I appreciate you.
Thanks for the support! I try and make everything meaningful or answer questions that I have heard the community ask.
Subscriber number 300! What did I win?
Your very own. BRAND. NEW. CAMEL!!! Watch out, may spit! (are Aladdin references still relevant?) Seriously though, Thank you for the support!
@@AzygousWolf I believe relevance is in the eye of the beholder. And I behold it as relevant indeed!
You mean to tell me I didn't need to make a bazillion plug strips for robot farms all over the damn place?!
I know, this has possibly been the most life changing tip for most people!
Hmdo you know how to get forget helmet?
One good tip I learnt is save yourself the trouble and at least have an in-between outpost or small fishing encampment; especially on sites you're finding plentiful antefish (useful for x-ray) or woteva ya yahoos are looking for 😅.
Not a gameplay kinda tip but still: take notes on notepad about hackable keypads and doors. I've spent many hours running around each zone trying to navigate some lost hacking spots (i.e tier 2 hackable door on the balcony near the woman that gives you hacking tool device recipe in the office zone which has tons of useful resources for when you just unlocked tier 2 hacking)
This is so true! the game definitely requires you to keep track of locations with the static maps you are given, you can also take a screen shot of your maps and draw on them if that helps for marking locations
you can use a shelf and a bridge to make vertical bases in the sky along whatever wall you can build on not my idea but improved upon carbon bridges will bring you the most value and space if you try this also avoid placing the bridges low to the ground, support beams WILL show up and anything can attack it then placed high enough and it will attach to the wall at an angle
the wall torch one helped me soo much, realized that around manufacturing west
Would love the devs to add 2 or 3 fish shadows/models into the swimming pool and maybe 1 into the fountain (that are there by default, not only when you start fishing) as its not obvious that you can fish at those locations. I think you unlock the fishing rod pretty early but one of the NPCs also talks about possibly accessing the surface so I was waiting to find a river or a lake before trying to fish. Its not a huge deal as once you know, you know. Just a shame to miss out on a cool feature in the early game I think.
genuinely useful tips even after playing for about 17 hours. Going to take a look at some of your other content and most probably subscribe, cheers! ☮
Can you make a video on a route to collect capacitors?
So far Train Portal, rooftop in the Rise Portal and gathering Anomaly items and exchanging them to Rebar is the only way I've figured out how to get it reliably, wish there were more spots to get the Rebar.
Can you make a video on an early place to farm leather scrap? Radio bags only give 2 each <3
Immediately after posting this we made it past the train and are now swimming in leather and briefcases hahaha
Can I water plants with tainted water? Or do I have to purify it first? I'm having a bit of trouble gathering water coolers so any tips regarding that will be much appreciated !! 🙏
Yes, you can! Here is a list of water coolers in the Office Sector. Level 1 At the plaza, close to the stairs that lead to the server room Level 2 Conference room at the plaza's balcony Locker room Bio Lab D Reception Three are found in the Data Farm Outside the Security Office Two are found in the Security Office Hallway, close to the elevator and the door to the Residence Tram Level 3 Close to Dr. Manse's hologram at the hallway Silo 3 Viewing Room Inside one of the small offices, close to the Physics Lab D In Physics Lab D.
@@AzygousWolf THANK YOU SO MUCH ! I never expected for you to actually respond!! I'll be sure to share this info to my fellow teammates :>

40 hours in and I had no idea you could extend power cables 😮
You aren't alone on this one, a lot of people don't realise this!
Thanks for the ideas!
Happy to help!
the train is also a consistent place for silver scrap!
didnt knew they respawn very nice to know. also i think i never used the energy brick to open the second door even on my first run always used a chair to climb the area bethween office and pool to get to level 3. to be fair before setting foot into manufacturing i would have picked up a second power cell to craft the shotgun for the easy one hit and pick up the security pistol.
will the early security gun be in the next one?
i prefer infinite energy in later bases but having powercells doesnt hurt.^^
For sure, but it can take a bit for some people to get to that stage, so power cells still help!
i would put planks on one part of the water so i dont have to jump every time.
You could do this, but you might run the risk of the robot being able to use it. Give it a go though and let me know how it goes.
@@AzygousWolf i did it in most of my playthroughs mainly for traversal but it is also a nice trap never saw the robot being smart enough to use the planks.
the robot in the video i used in early to farm sharp exp by standing on the well in the middle and hit him with the makeshift spear.
Love your content it's super useful to someone like me (I got quite lost when first playing this game). Something I still struggle with however is the food system and keeping myself topped up on hunger. Any tips for managing my food at all?
Soups are the best way to go early on, they are fairly simple to make and won't burn, plus soups normally have a buff of some sort. Just be aware once a soup is made, you can't use the pot again until it is empty so have a couple spare pots ready to go.
you know... i love this. i hope they never nerf it because it's not an exploit and not unrealistic, in fact it's *perfectly reasonable* and exists as a phenomenon billions of people use every day IN REAL LIFE, which makes it very realistic indeed - it's called _practice!_
I agree, it is a pretty good mechanic
the power off fan tip BLEW MY MIND HOLY COW DUDE THANK YOU
Once I realised you could get access to that area when the power was off, it changed how I start my runs entirely!
you can break crates with a vacuum which will also basically autoloot the stuff. if you use the vacuum to suck in ammo lying around on desk or money it will multiply the ammount looted by around 3. it also insta kill pests. having a jump pad you can find in office sector in your inventory can make exploring easier since it allows you to enter places with earlier or avoid enemies like sniper or even surprise them from behind.
I have some other videos where I explain that you can craft the vacuum early on due to its looting uses. I haven't done much with the jump pads, I'll have to look into it more.
@@AzygousWolfi should watch these videos. if you want one example in rise you can use pads to get over a ledge on the 1 first floor place a pad to get on the indoor roof to kill the sniper from behind and do this with the second sniper on the other indoor roof too. if you go the normal way both snipers would shoot you as soon as you reach the glas desk. in helmholz you can skip the whole search the 3 button process if you also have a gravity cube but since you can later also simply use a plank and a ropeplank or the new jetpack this one got less usefull
@@thanquolrattenherz9665 I will have to go check that out, I might make a video covering the process too, thanks!
Do you have any tips for farming rebar for grinder disks?
I have a video I'm working on that will look at farming Rebar soon. I'll let you know when it is uploaded
I've made a quick video showing the process I use to get rebar, I do it as part of my other daily farming runs ua-cam.com/video/0B1upOi97Fw/v-deo.html
Earned the sub and the like! Those Tips are livesavers! Keep it up!
This game has made me rage quit atleast 15 times. Love it tho
Its kind of exploitbut if you dont kill the bug in the secret tunnel (where the white bag).. its a great source to farm sneak skill
and early game where i can get more? thanks
You can break down filing cabinets in the office to get metal scrap, as well as farming robots with some early traps, I have another video on farming robots early game
That was a damn good review.
Thanks! I've only been doing these for a couple months, so it is great to see it is providing value!
so this is a noita inspired roguelike nice
I haven't played Noita so I'll have to check it out, Magicraft is definitely one of those "one more run" types of games that can get addictive quick
Nice video. Im at the last stage of the game and didnt even know about the hotbar thing
There is a lot in this game that can fly under the radar, you aren't the first person to say something like that! A couple of my other tips videos have similar comments about tips
A less early-game means of getting crafting xp is via rotten food, produced via farming tomatoes in industrial quantities. This training method has three value points: 1. It simultrains agriculture xp. 2. It is pseudo-passive - tomatoes will grow and rot without direct supervision, even if it does take direct action to extract and store them so the regrowing cycles may continue. 3. Large volumes of crafting xp and bio scrap can be gained without too much inventory management per cycle, as the stack sizes of tomatoes, rotten food, and bio scrap are all quite decent. There are two pain points that prevent this from being a most fantastic early-game method: 1. Soil production is pretty lacking in the early-game and small garden plots are by far the least efficient usage for soil. The earliest this strategy becomes truly viable is once Manufacturing West has been reached and you can use Medium Garden Plots to halve the amount of soil it costs per garden plot. 2. Early- and mid-game purified water production are far from quick and painless. It takes eight pots (8000ml) of boiling tainted water to make 2000ml of purified water, which isn't exactly a lot, and having to split it between farming and soups is even less ideal. Again, Manufacturing West comes to the rescue with the Antejuice Pool, as you can use Antejuice to make soups in lieu of water, saving it all for farming. Naturally, things really take off once you hit Laboratories and can purify water instantly with 100% conversion rate and get the Pet Rock trinket to boost xp gains further.
This is a lot of great information! I have become aware of this process since posting this video, it is awesome to see this much detail put in, Thank you!
Good review, Thank you
Happy you enjoyed it!
Okay that power reroute with tech scraps... 220 hours in and I had no idea that was a thing. THANK YOU.
Happy to help!!! It is such an easy detail to miss but completely changes how you set up your bases and defences!
How did you get rid of the radiation at the connection tower in the hydroplant?
Same! Holy crap! I've been playing for so long that I long perfected the art of getting as far away from the bubble as possible to connect PLUG STRIPS together to achieve the same effect for so much more of a cost and requiring perfect timing and positioning to plug them into each other. So much wasted effort and resources DX
I didn't know right away either but then I glanced over to bottom right when I was plugging something in
Wow that first tip is a game changer for reruns. Honestly never occured to me, to go back there.
It 100% makes progression quicker, being able to get an anvil before you even open the double doors is a game changer for sure!
I miss when bad soup didn't get you sick.
You just blew the mind of my abiotic factor group with the anvil... we all forgot about it and went through so much to get the next one in the game :') ...
I was shook when I first realised how easy it was to get it. Thankfully, you can end up trading with the blacksmith to get anvils as well
Thanks for the video me and my buddy started playing and were stuck not knowing where to go
You aren't alone with that, a lot of people have struggled until they get familiar with the game. It is kinda put together like a metroidvania in its level design.
Another little trick with shields is that you can also block the second after you attack, blocking attacks even if the animation for the shield doesn't start up yet This makes dealing with Peccaries a lot easier as, if you haven't stunned them, you can immediately block an attack after you attack
I'll have to check this out and see how it works
@@AzygousWolf Also: Don't know if this is known, but the weight that you stack onto a Platform Cart causes it to slow down. The heavier, the slower
@@Ultimafox99 I wasn't aware of that! that is also handy to know! if you have any more tips or info keep it coming!
@@AzygousWolf I don't know what all is already known, so I'll just drop down a list of the stuff I know 1. You can Favorite a particular spot in your inventory so that it keeps the item in that spot from getting shifted around when you sort 2. Crouch-Jumping is a thing 3. You can Package objects for a chance to either actually package them or deconstruct them for more materials and Construction XP 4. My personal best way to make sure the objects I need to craft are to Favorite them after pinning them, that way you can find them easier, and if you end up reconnecting and losing all of your pins, they'll be in your Favorites section for you to pin them again 5. Daisy-Chaining is a thing and safer in game than it is in real life 6. If there's a pool of water around, you can use that to wash yourself off. Even crouching into shallow water, such as in the fountains, can work too 7. Any liquids you can pick up can be placed in a water container. Barrels will show the kind of liquid you've stored in them 8. The Nests/Jump Pads can be used to negate fall damage if you land on them correctly 9. Using a weapon to destroy furniture won't use up durability 10. You can use enemies as meat-shields. I.E. using Order Soldiers to block the bullets from another Order Soldier. They can be killed in this fashion
Not so much a question about this but where you have set up base. Do you consider that a good place to set up base? I currently have one above the Blacksmith in Manu. West and used to have one over at the security area close to the entrance on Manu. West (with the shooting range and such). I've googled around and I see a lot of different opinions about where a good base is from the Gym in Office sector to 3rd floor office break room to some of the portal worlds like the Furniture store. I suppose if you are ever looking for ideas for future videos, maybe something to think about?
I have found once I get to the Labs, having the personal transporter drastically changes how you get around, it can be worth having a base near the fountain in the office sector, as that is where carts teleport to using the cart recall button near Warren's security booth. The Gym is a great and easy to defend location for a solo player particularly in the early game. the 3rd floor break room is viable, as long as you have the robot set up to be m=auto-farmed so it doesn't wreck things. I've had a few requests for a base locations video, so I'm strongly considering making a video on that topic soon
@@AzygousWolf Alright thanks, will be sure to keep note of that. I haven't unlocked the personal transporter yet as I am only just into the Labs and trying to figure out where everything is but did find the spot where your base at the beginning was so was curious.
@@Altoryu I found is fairly good with close proximity to water and a robot for access to metal scrap, not to mention the tram when you unlock that. You'll spend a bit of time exploring the lab and this is a good spot to return to, plus there is the security cart spawn close by as well.
Про возможность протягивать проводку Я узнал случайно спустя 80+ часов игры)))
I found it by accident as well!
A tip I never see anyone mention: You can place buckets in sinks to collect water. Any bucket will do.
I'll have to give this a go!
@@AzygousWolf try it out, it works and its a comfortable way to keep a barrel at hand to water crops
You can also use cooking pots
I play dustland delivery a lot. Should I pick this game up or its just more of the same but a bit different?
While it seems the same at a glance, this has it's own style and plays differently to Dustland Delivery. The demo was active during Next fest, and I believe it was so popular that the dev's have put the demo back up. store.steampowered.com/app/2756920/Keep_Driving/ Go check out the demo, I know I'll be buying the game when it comes out.
Super helpful thank you!
Happy it helped! I have a whole playlist of different guides and tips that might also be useful to you :)
