Larry do you ever accept repair work?
Yes, send me an email timelesstshirts10@gmail.com
I'm not usually a Rolex guy but damn... that looks so good! Good job and congrats on your first Rolex service :)
Love the format of your content Larry! Enjoyed the thought process to everything you were doing. Great job on this one!
Thanks, bro! You should start a channel. I would love to see some of your watch builds.
@@larryc Maybe I will! Been thinking about it for quite some time now and seeing yours motivated me. I guess you'll have to wait and see :)
If anyone is like me, and the drill bit is too small, or idle screw is too long, just put a tiny bit of tension on the throttle cable. Just enough to crack open the gap in under the slide if need be
With the same problem in a Seiko 5 I changed que balance bridge a couple of weeks about, I never knew why the balance wheel stopped when I turn out the watch.
I’m surprised Jody doesn’t have a US repair company, maybe Larry should be their US representative.
I am surprised they don't have one in the US as well. Maybe they will get one in the future.
Another interesting video, Thanks Larry for sharing 👍
Thanks, Chris!
This is in warranty, shouldnt it just go back? Sorry if you addressed that, i was kind of clicking through a bit.
It is still under warranty, however You still need to pay to ship it to Erebus for service. Shipping to Australia is around 70$. In this case, it was actually just cheaper to service it here in the US.
@@larryc ah that's a bummer. Yeh I've had to pay it going the other way, perks of being a big remote island unfortunately.
Since Jody doesn’t have a US service facility, maybe Larry should be their agent.
@@chriswalls6667 maybe they'll setup US and European outposts in time. The brand is still very young.
What you didn't show, but should have shown (if for no one else but your friend) was the replacement of the case back gasket - properly lubricated - and a pressure test of the case with the new crystal, prior to re-casing the movement. Those are the most important steps related to the task that your friend entrusted you with and mandatory steps that any watch repair - much less authorised Rolex repair centre - would have conducted.
Great video, but did you contact Jody @ Erebus? I am sure he would have taken care of the issue. At the very least you should notify him that there are these issues in case any others pop up.
👍👍
Mine was rough and never run well. Paperweight!
Base 22, that is damn good looking one. Totally a collectable item now.
Erubus is known for it's qc issues.
Aha. Based on what?
Nice video Larry. You are certainly getting experience. Both in repairs and your video work. Good narration of what is going on. Still wearing the Erebus 😊. Running nice.
Congrats on this 😄
Well done. Awesome video.
Very nice looking watch.
Gorgeous classic vintage Rolex, thanks for the video!
If i see those prices, I'm starting to think for most parts just buy a new or used watch, and get your parts from that
Did the owner notify Erebus? Seems that they would respond and correct.
Yes, and Erebus would have honored the warranty. However, it was actually cheaper to have the watch serviced here in the US. Shipping to Australia is expensive.
As Larry said, Erebus warranty is return to them paying shipping, which I knew going in. The cheapest shipping was over 70 dollars. Also the time involved. I had contacted them and they were very responsive. I have nothing negative to say about Erebus! A movement can fail from anyone. I was glad this one is inexpensive, easy to obtain and Larry was nice enough to do it for me!
Could you figure out what caused the issue? I am very curious how it failed!
I wasn't able to find the issue yet. My first priority was to get the watch back to the owner as fast as possible. However, I still have the original movement, and I am going to disassemble it to figure out what was causing the issue. I will post an update in the future.
Thank you so much Larry! I have worn the Origin everyday since I got it back. I was actually wearing it while watching the video. Its running great! You did a great video explaining the process. Again, such a great member of the watch community. Eric
@ericsherer3505 Thanks, bro!
Love this! you have such patience and finesse while working on watches, Thank you for showing us these projects, Cant wait for future projects
Well done Larry!
I've had a few faulty NH movements in the last year. I hope quality control isn't slipping. Great video man!
I had a Turtle build I did with an NH36. After a hard bump it did the same thing. I swapped the balance assembly and that didn't solve it. Had to do a full movement swap as well.
Never mind found the link thanks
Wearing mine currently
Love mine. Don't forget what is printed on the caseback 😂
Stock carb? Any work to the jetting? I have a stock klx110 with a yoshi pipe and I get bogging. You can run the big bore/pipe with the stock air box and stock carb???
Do you have the stock airbox? If so, then i recommend running the stock jets even with the yoshi pipe. This bike still has the stock carb and air box. With the stock airbox, we kept the stock jets. I tried a few bigger jets in it, but it would bogg at full throttle from too much fuel. I talk about it around 54:00. Recently, I modified the stock airbox and took off the rubber boot that goes into the frame to get more airflow. I put in an 82 main jet, and now it rips. Here is a link to a video of it shooting flames 🔥 ua-cam.com/users/shorts3jKMt_QOOZE?si=WTtwbX3fSUlflWBA I personally recommend a modified stock airbox. If you are doing the 143cc big bore kit, it brings them to life. Just remember you won't need to jet it for more fuel unless you are giving it more air.
Only thing I was lost at what the chain tensioner but you explained it way better so thanks dude
@dillanthomas-seiler9067 No problem, bro. I am happy the video was useful.
This is better then the other videos you actually explained what you are doing
I have several GMTs since I have clients in multiple time zones. I want to discuss a black Seiko GMT custom build to go with my Burberry GMT. I saw your earlier black build that was amazing. How do I get in line or discuss a build?
I absolutely ilysm my Glycines. I have 2 GMTs (Coke and Pepsi) and I have the OG Airman. Great brand and a compliment magnet.
I have the OG smaller version. It wears small on my wrist but wears really well. I hate I didn’t wear the 46. Great review
I would like to discuss a custom build on that black platform. Willing to wait. What is the next step?
Send me an email timelesstshirts10@gmail.com
I would be interested in a custom build. What is your average price point?
The average price is about 500$. It depends on a few options, like strap or bracelet. Solid caseback or display caseback.
your right....when you get into a motor that someone "fixed"... its a mess
Nice
THAT'S nice 👍
Beautiful Work I really like the other watch that's available
Love the KLX 110cc content 🫡

mod? looks very nice❤
lovely build mate, I think a lot of people (myself included) appreciate how much you put into these monetarily and time wise!
Hi Larry. Awesome Build. Im interested and would love to pick this up. Have sent you an email. Unfortunately, I am unable to close the purchase due to the location. Im willing to add for the shipping as well. Thanks....
