Hi! The displays work on Nami burn e2/3max?
Hi, unfortunately not. These displays are meant to be used with TSDZ2 motors with OSF (open source firmware)
@@ebikestuff oh.. I see but which protocol uses Nami? Uart 2, uart 4 or something different? I can't find it anywhere 🤦 They use the same wires as e bike setups I see after the polish finger throttle which is excellent 🙋♂️🤝

Just got and installed my kit, and everything seems perfect! 9km at full tilt and it wasn't even warm. Thanks for the quick shipping to Canada and this great video. I want to make a suggestion though: at 27:11, the wording is a bit vague, and I misinterpreted it, had the stator insert on backwards, and ended up destroying its thermal pad trying to get the cover on. Thankfully I attached the heatsinks directly with thermal compound instead of the thermal pads, so I still had those on hand and with a bit of extra paste they seem to be working. But I'd recommend you word it: "Put the insert in place, remembering that the larger (or thicker) edge must face the gears and the thinner edge must face the cover, or the cover will not fit. "taper" and "must be at split" threw me for a bit of a loop.

Can you connect a temp sensor to a 6pin controller?
Not really. The temp sensor relies on the throttle wires to send the temp info to the controller. The 6 PIN controller doesn't have those wires physically connected to the pin pads on the controller board. You can try to solder wires to the pin pads on the controller. Or use a bimetal sensor wired to the brake sensor wires. It will cut off the power when the bimetal reaches a given temp. It will act as a safety guard

A detailed manual explaining each one of the adjusments is badly needed. I have the 860C with a Tsdz2 and frankly, it is really frustraiting trying to use it.
The manual can be found on Github: github.com/emmebrusa/TSDZ2-Smart-EBike-860C/tree/master/manuals Most of the settings are self explanatory. Others, you probably don't need to change them. What exactly do you need help with?

Right now I am trying to figure out how to set the system to have the odometer to measure total miles (like cumulative miles, so I can track mileage since first day) and also be able to track distance for each individual trip. Thanks for any help you can provide. By the way, I bought from you the circular heat sink plate and the motor now runs much cooler, althoug I am measuring only the external temperature with a laser thermometer. How accurate can that temperature reading be, when compared with using and internal probe, like the one you installed in your video?
@@cilami The odometer should do that out of the box. If you have the speed sensor working correctly the odometer should track the mileage. The current odometer value can be set in the Various configuration submenu. You have Trip A and Trip B values that also can be used to track the mileage. I believe that by default they might be set to reset on full charge or after a certain number of hours. The auto-reset feature can be disabled. Please go to the Trip Memories section to see these settings. You have a link to the TSDZ2 860C OSF Github page above. You can download the display manual in there. Most of the settings have short descriptions explaining their functions. Regarding the motor temperature. Even with the fully modded motor the temperature readings of the cover/housing are way off compared to the actual motor temperatures. You can read our cooling test. We have an additional temperature sensor installed on the side cover of the motor. You can compare those temperatures to the temperature sensor installed on the the actual motor, inside of the housing: ebikestuff.eu/en/content/13-tsdz2tsdz2b-cooling-kits-tests

How much does this effect the performance or longevity?
I ran stock firmware at 750W without any cooling mod. My motor burned out a few days ago carrying a load up a hill after about 9 months of use. And here I am watching this video because I don't think you can do 750w TSDZ2B without cooling improvements.
Sad I can't order the preapplied TSDZ2B kit with cooling to the UK! Otherwise I would just order that...

Wiem te od strony sterownika są przylutowane do czujnika, ale co z obciętymi kablami idącymi z silnika ? Tylko izolujemy ? Rozumiem, że można tez wylutowywac się w płytkę po zdjęciu żelu ale to łatwiejsza metoda ??

The cooling test shows, that the premium conversion kit does solve the heat issue completely. It will very unlikely ever reach 70° - so I guess it is save, to avoid the complicated, installation of the temperature sensor?
@@matthiasschuster9505 If you don't stress the motor with the max power for a really long time you should be safe without the temp sensor. We didn't have any reports telling us that anyone had overheating issues with the premium kit
Hej. Świetna robota. Myśleliście też o zrobieniu takiego chłodzenia do silników bafanga z serii BBS02? Na pewno było by zainteresowanie bo silniki mają potencjał a odprowadzanie ciepła tragiczne. Mój silnik BBS02 750W ograniczony do mocy szczytowej 1100W wciągając pod górkę rower plus sakwy 40kg plus kierowca 50kg zagrzał się do tego stopnia że ręki na obudowie nie dało się trzymać dłużej niż kilka sekund. Fajnie było by to schłodzić jakoś żeby nie było niespodzianki w postaci awarii :) Pozdrawiam
Dzięki. Na razie zajmujemy się modyfikacjami TSDZ2. Bafangi z fabryki mają lepsze chłodzenie i wytrzymują dużo więcej. Jak będzie zainteresowanie to pomyślimy o chłodzeniu dla tych silników
Perfect job, I will send you for tuning when I will buy the motor. One question, can you also apply more grease on gears and blue gear specifically, or you think is enough and of good quality already from the manufacturer?
It is recommended to do a checkup once in a while but in general the amount of grease from factory is good enough. As far as we know, the grease used by Tongsheng is MOLYKOTE EM-50L. Po co pierwszy radiator montowany jest nad przestrzenią pustą w środku? Ta przestrzeń sama w sobie blokuje cyrkulację cieplną i działa jako izolator. Drugi radiator ma jakis sens, ale po co ten prierwszy?

Ottima modifica. Forse conveniva cambiare l'ingranaggio blu con l'ingranaggio bianco, almeno dicono sia migliore. Dovreste fare un video anche sulla modifica software osf per vedere come si comporta il vlcd5 con i parametri in più.
