I just found this. Check out Dave’s video from 11 years ago! Nothing new in the woods. Just reworked. Second shelter in is basically the same as this one.

It’s a great pillow for sure! Link is in the description if you need it.
Nice! Due to the height of the commenter I will definitely be trying the bipod version.
🤣🤣🤣

Thanks! I’m one step closer!
Good job, man!
Thanks brother!
This guy knows his stuff!!! Much knowledge and a great attitude.
Thanks Daniel! It was great training with you at this class.
outstanding!
Thanks!
That looks like it is good material to replace a boot lace😉
Lol, it will do that job quite well
Thanks for the info brother
Any time!
Good work.
I love that, “Back of my Truck Bushcraft” name. Great science too - Uncle Bruce would be proud! Lol
Lol, maybe I’ll make a playlist for back of my truck bushcraft. BOMT Bushcraft
Would Texas Roadhouse rock work in a pinch?
It’s possible. I can’t say for sure though.
Mr. Mallet and I are on it if we can find it in our area!
Awesome! Let me know how it turns out.
“That’s science. I think. I’m not a scientist.”
First in! Outstanding
One thing I always enjoyed about Dave's channel was the hillbilly soundtrack. Keep the tunes and knowledge bumpin man!
You got it!
Kyle was talking about this on the resource walk.
For sure! Arrow wood is a great resource.
I like your mindset, even small jobs require big knives
Lol, it is a pretty big knife for the job. It’s very nimble for its size though. I had just finished carving a bowdrill set so I guess it’s just what I grabbed.
I CAN'T SEE WHAT YOU'RE DOING !! LOL ! Good job bud Speece
Lol, I know. I might make a quick short to link to this one to show the bail notch.
Awesome. I need to get out in the woods and start messing around and building these skills.
For sure! Come join us for a class sometime.
Just made my first dual tripod shelter using an emergency space blanket this past weekend. Get after it man!
for a faster tripod, you can make a loose loop around all 3 sticks and twist the middle pole 2 or 3 times to tighten. Nice quick pot hook.
I will give it a next time. Thanks for the tip!
is this like Birch? nice..
This is arrowwood It’s a shrub that grows in the eastern woodlands
I remember arrow wood
Hey Nick, hope to see you again at my intermediate class. It's a lot of fun working with you. And let me know what you're selling for gear. Also wondering if I can text you and keep in touch untill then. Tell me how your advanced class goes good luck.
Sounds good brother. I’ll be there cheering for you when you do your intermediate. Practice bowdrill and navigation for sure! Hit me up on Facebook or instagram under Nich Gatton
Nice!!!
Thanks!
Too much product placement. Try one with (no name) items. Just one video without sponsoring. Overall good informative presentation.
Copy that. Honestly, thanks for the feedback. This gear is all purchased by me on my dime. There is some uniformity to my gear because I’ve tested it pretty rigorously and it works. I own and have tested lots of other gear as well and this was just what I trusted to work with in my effort to earn my intermediate patch. The tools I chose to get a job done. Hope to see you in the woods sometime!
@@NichGatton 13:25 you done good. You were stating where you got some of the gear for people that might be new to the scene and the brand names for gear standards for what works for the classes. Not product placement or sponsored , just stating that certain brands that YOU have used that meet the rigors or the classes. If they want to gripe about that then let them post a video to their standards.
Bro come on, he’s telling you the gear he’s taking. He can have his own opinion.
Because all gear is created equal and viewers don’t care who makes what gear……. As if 😂 You hit the wrong channel and video for product placement. This was a very honest and comprehensive kit dump.
Awesome job bud!
Thank you!
Awesome job brother
Thanks!
And that is how you do an outro!
My best outro yet lol!
The car horn drinking game was fun
Did you go for it this morning? Can’t drink all day if you don’t stay early lol
Nice gear list! Tell your son he’s a great cameraman!
Will do!
