It's easy to build a beautiful home when you have a multi-million-dollar budget and the site is blessed with breathtaking views.

The home is a beautiful example of a brutalist, un-insulated, concrete structure which is neither harmonious with nature nor environmentally sustainable. Concrete, in both its manufacture and in its curing, releases gigantic amounts of carbon dioxide. I see that Olson Kundig took queues from another brutalist, I.M. Pei, and from the first sketch this structure is sadly attached to old thinking. Visit Sabbione, Switzerland, and reconsider.

OK, wait! I AM VERY CONFUSED!!! Your house is 'OFF THE GRID', right? So, where do you get your (UTILITIES) electricity, water, and gas (for the 2 stoves)? Your video did not feature an alternative power source such as solar panels, batteries, water tank, or gas tanks for cooking, etc.!?!? I got the passive solar concept.
