    @ 4:58. "35 cuts, as opposed to the 52 as advertised". The diameter of sections isn't mentioned in either case, so as a matter of interest: The total cut area of 35 x 8" diameter pieces is about the same as 52 x 6.6" The total cut area of 35 x 7" diameter pieces is about the same as 52 x 5.75" So, the Makita ad may not be exaggerating.

    Have the same saw and would cut through that size timber in a fraction of the time. Your problem is the blade is very blunt shortening your battery life and straining the motor.

    Meh need to think 2T base with vans then it is a safe combo. Everyone talks safety yet puts 3.5T+ behind them and the tail wags the dog. Plus you have so much combined weight that lack of traction bites you again. Most of these issues are self inflicted. I run a 2T ute with a 1.3T collapsible and with everything its a 60 to 70K setup?

    There's one area of the Northern section of the beach, where there's red limestone cliff and I saw what I initially though were pipes coming out of the cliff. On closer inspection I saw what looked like bark on them. It was petrified tree trunks. God is incredible with his creations.

    15 PSI !!!!!!!!!!!

  • @Ranger670
    @Ranger670 Рік тому

    18 psi all round is my go to sand pressure. I used it on the trip up to Cape Peron and never looked like getting stuck. 30 is too hard and it's probably why you dug in. It also chops up the track for others and makes your vehicle work too hard. Pleased to see you drop down to 20 psi but why not follow the advice on the entry signs and go there first to maintain the track condition? Good luck with the channel and your travels.

      @vangoodtimes Рік тому

      Definitely learnt a lot. We started out just going to Big Lagoon, but as you head to the point, it's definitely a bit softer. Lesson learnt. We finished around 15psi to get out. Cheers

    The problem is they call 4wd accessories as payload and they shouldn't!! Kerb weight is the weight it rolls off the production line! e.g. 2500kg. Load it up with accessories bullbars etc including passengers, full tanks of fuel then put it over a weigh bridge and whatever that weighs is the new Tare weight! GVM less Tare weight is payload. If your GVM is 4000kg and your new tare weight is 3500kg then your payload is 500kg. If you hook up a 3500kg caravan with 350kg ball weight your payload is reduced you 150kg. GCM is the max weight of the Vehicle & Caravan and can't be exceeded! If your GCM is 7500kg and your tare is 4000kg that allows 3500kg. If your GCM is 6500kg less tare is 3500kg then you can only tow 3000kg. This is how it works with trucks and is easier for a novice to understand.
