Short Thank You after Rumble Live Attempt
Переглядів 1727 місяців тому
I just wanted to thank everyone who stopped in for my first attempt at going live with the Rumble Studio app. I know I had some video difficulties so I wanted to just have a little thank you to those who stopped in for it. If you are here watching this on UA-cam, it wouldn't let me go live here because I don't have enough subscribers yet. Maybe one day though with your help.

Dear Blair Gardiner: I’m truly amazed, with the terrific success you are having with aquatic plants; especially Alternanthera reineckii. I’ve never had it stay red, or survive, for long. You are keeping aquatic plants healthy, with gravel and sand substrates; and I don’t see any algae. I may have to rethink what I’m doing. I’ve been capping potting soil, with coal slag. I even run CO2, in one of my, 75-gallon tanks. I’m having algae issues, in several tanks and minimal success, with aquatic plants. Thank you for sharing this, terrific look at your aquaria. All my best, Sincerely, new subscriber, E. J. Brinegar
E.J. Thanks for the comment and the subscription as well. I appreciate the support of my small channel. I've seen a few people using potting soil as the nutrient layer but I've never tried it myself. Everything I've heard is that you have to have a thick layer to cap the nutrients and keep it out of the water column. The guppy tank was my first real attempt at aquascape with live plants so I'm glad you like it.
So sorry for your loss
Thanks man. Hope you are doing well out west there.
little further west than I want to be at the moment lol but hoping to be back in Washington soon
I hope wherever that is you're staying safe man.
We love you. Little Girl will be greatly missed. Remember, you are not alone. Love, Winston and Emilee
Thank you
Is it a chinese evergreen/aglaonema?
Possibly is after looking it up. Thanks
Beautiful
@@aquascapingbyagnes Thank you!
That’s looking good
Thank you!
"I figured this, I figure that". What is all this about your English. I dont get it. You speak too softly, is that some sort of manipulation to make sure we listen carefully to you ......
@allisongasparini7602 The English bit is a just a little joke. I was having trouble with getting my thoughts out that day when I was recording. No audio manipulation on it, I've always spoken softly.
I cant hear you. Full volume, still can't hear you.
@allisongasparini7602 That is a work in progress, everything is all in one at the moment for recording including the microphone. I need to remember to stay closer to the built in microphone. I do appreciate the criticism though, that's how we get better at it. 🙂
Could do with some small pieces driftwood or maybe dragon stone
I do want to use dragon stone in a future setup but with different fish. I can't find any local driftwood anywhere near me. I hesitate ordering it without seeing the pieces. Love the ideas though!
nice tank setup bro 🙌🏽
Thank you!
Hard to believe all of that came from those few plants. Flowers on the water hyacinth are beautiful. Love the birds in the background.
Surprised me with starting with only 2
That really flourished!
More than I thought it would
Looks like a very healthy tank.
Thank you! I try to keep up with the plants and water changes.
Seems like it is well designed, too.
cool dog !!
That's Winston, he pops up in the videos from time to time and has his own channel too
That lily will do well without soil in the top pot, will also clean nitrates. Cool setup, I tried this but could not figure it out like you did. Thanks for the ideas!
I just used the top pot to help me create the waterfall effect I was going for, no soil. Lily and water lettuce have done great. Glad I could help with a few ideas!
The video was recorded in May but just got a chance to put it together and get loaded. I'll have a little update soon to show what it looks like now. Thanks for watching!
Awee it's a itty bitty little fella. :) Thanks for taking care of him. He's cute.
I saw little swimmers there after you added water, what was that?
It is a pretty small bowl, so I haven't added anything in the way of livestock to it. You might have seen a few stray leaves of the rotala h'ra floating around that came off while planting. I'm open to suggestions on size appropriate stocking of it though!
Cute, but you could do this on a larger scale Betta fish may be able to survive in a tea cup, but that's the equivalent of locking a human in a bathroom 5 gallons is the general minimum
Yes, and I do have a plan for something bigger/better so don't forget to subscribe to see it once I have everything sourced for it!
Little froggos!
What is the aquasoil for?
It provides beneficial nutrients to the plants for growth and it also has other benefits like helping the water be a little softer
@@blairgardiner6930 , very helpful to the tank.
Such a pretty fish and tank!
I think so too!
The tanks it's too small
The store had him living in 1 cup of water, he has a lot more room to swim than it looks as well in there.
Great looking tank! So clean!
Thanks!
you should do a video how to set up a tank like that
I do have a build video for this tank if you would like to see how it started out. ua-cam.com/video/pzb8M2RO4Po/v-deo.html
How did you video the eclipse?
I used a $26 tripod with a phone attachment for my S22 Ultra with a solar filter
Looks good. Plants really grew.
Looks a lot fuller than when I first planted it and it looked almost empty
I like the idea of plants for either one.
I've got plenty of plants to spare now that I did a trim on the guppy tank
Hey Coffee Brand Coffee - that's The Quartering's coffee company!
Best coffee out there as far as I'm concerned. Thanks for subscribing too!
I really wouldn’t put anything other than plants and or snails in those to be honest
Yeah, that is my plan as well. I just thought I would see what others thought they might try and scape in such little spaces.
Small tanks like this require more water changes and harder to clean. Invest in a 10 gallon if you can
Yes, you are right they do. This tank was done for someone else and I was working with what they wanted specifically though.
@@blairgardiner6930 last year I got a 3g rimless cube I was doing partial water changes 2 x aweek. I then bought a6 gallon cube and now doing water changes once a week. Easier to siphon too.
I've got 2 5 gallons, a small 1 gallon that I use mostly for plants and a 55 gallon. I have 3 10 gallon and a 20 gallon in storage as well but no real room for them, yet. I know what you mean about the bigger tanks with cleaning plus there is more you can do with them too.
@@blairgardiner6930 I have a 55, 6,5.5 and 10 gallons set up. My garage is full of many empty various si ze tanks that no longer use. Often thought of setting one up for plants only, good idea.
Got the idea from watching MDfishtanks so I can't take credit for it. Local shops don't have many plants though so when I can get something I needed a place for it even if I wasn't ready to use it just yet.
I've been wanting to get a turtle, but have run out of room 😅. Great video, I really like the planted guppy tank!
Thank you for the kind words, I wasn't sure about doing a video like this as my channel is pretty small/new. As for Francis, a turtle was never part of my plan either, but he couldn't stay where he was without dying and in my area, they are illegal for shops to have/sell.
Awesome! If it were me, and I have no idea what fish like, I would add more plants, just to give more hiding spots or placed to duck away from the current if rest is needed. Constructive criticism of course, you do you!
The goal is definitely to have more plants but to show how to get that full look on a small budget. That first video has $30 in plants from my local store. As the stem plants grow, you can trim and replant the trimmings. I'll be showing some of that in the next video since I didn't in this one.
@@blairgardiner6930 wait... Are those live plants?
Yep, everything in there is alive. The dwarf hair grass in the front isn't doing the best and you can hardly see it now. The next one back is rotala h'ra and the one behind it is cardinalis. The rotala and cardinalis i can trim and replant for a much fuller look and the hair grass (if it comes back) will look like a lawn in the front that I'll have to trim.
@@blairgardiner6930 honestly, good for you!! Live plant aquariums are hard, and yours is small so it's even harder. I have no advice, simply admiration. Good job, I'm subbed now so I'll keep watching how it goes, best of luck, but you won't need luck if you study up! Cheers!
I love how much work you have put into it! Nice job!
I had almost 2 hours of stuff recorded for this video prior to editing. Not counting pre planning haha.
@@blairgardiner6930 all that means, is you love your guppies, and you're proud of what you do. #respect.
Enjoyable video, Thanks 💙
